Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

How do we figure out our dining rotation? I looked through our documents but I couldn't find anything. I know we have the main seating for time does that determine which restaurant you at first?

How many dresses are you gals bringing? I have my 2 formal dresses, a not as formal but dressy for Luminere's, and a few of casual jersey dresses. I am definitely wearing one of the jersey dresses while shopping in Martinique. Nothing like playing dress up to look at expensive French clothes, cosmetics, etc. that I probably can't afford!! :lmao::lmao:

I need some serious packing help! I love dressing up so I keep putting dresses and shoes aside to take. At this point I would need about 5 garment bags. :rotfl:

I LOVE all the stories of how you are surprising your kids!!

Do they sell compressed lenses? I couldn't find any info on that

Is that the thin lens? They do sell those. It is a few dollars upcharge. If you click on a pair of glasses then hit order, a screen will come up that will ask you questions. Just click on single vision, bifocal or progressive. Then click the next question which asks for your PD. Then the next question asks which lens you want. I usually go for the mid index since it's free and is slimmer than standard lens. Then there's lots of other choices like high index levels, transition lens, polarized etc. Hope that helps

Love to know where I can get that DCL CD with the Caribbean music and, especially, the Serenity Bay tracks (truly my idea of at least a slice of heaven). We have a large CD library of the WDW parks music, but nothing DCL-ish.

Ooohhhh.....good question! My DH says it was a "thanks for cruising" gift we got in the mail shortly after we took our first cruise, in 2004....

Sorry I have no idea how to get ahold of it....I could tuck it in the suitcase if you are bringing a laptop....maybe you could download it? :confused3
A thought....

You won't find out your dinning rotation until you check-in at the port. It will be on your KTTW card. Main seating is just the time for dinning and you could start in any one of the restaurants.

Does anyone remember which page the FE map with the little green Mickey heads is on? I cant seem to find it. Or if you have it maybe you could email it to me michelle@dargen.net

Thanks!

Colette, when you go to get their glasses, ask for their prescription and their PD (pupil diameter). Then you can go online and order glasses so ridiculously cheap you will kick yourself for buying glasses retail. I just received my order of 8 pairs of glasses (3 of them were prescription sunglasses) and it only cost $110 shipped. Looks like they ship to the UK. The glasses are of equal quality to what you receive in store. $5 US shipping (International shipping is $10) no matter how many you order so I order alot at one time. Shipping can take up to 2 weeks. My last shipment took 8 days. I am always super happy with all the glasses I order. Kids love them too! I have a pair in pink with rhinestones :lovestruc, green, red, silver, bronze, black with rhinestones, gold and tortoise. :lmao: I wear whatever glasses float my boat that day, hehehe Hope that helps you in the future.

Here's the website:

Thanks its a good site to remember. Luckily the kids get free glasses up to a certain age here so am more worried that they get them in time. Gatwick airport still closed till at least tomorrow. Am not worrying at the moment but will be relieved when it reopens. Off to get the rest of my dollars today although the rate has gone down slightly.

Thanks!

The map created by Kitster can be accessed at http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/a459/Kitster2/FE_DeckPlan.jpg

It has marked ALL the rooms including both rooms when they are sharing a single Fish Extender. The only room that seems to be missing is Brooke3L. It does have the late FE joiners on there. There is 1 room marked with a green Mickey Head, but the rest show up (at least for me) as being red arrows pointing to the room.

Thanks once again to both tinkmischief and Kitster for the work they put in to help organize this.

Greetings from South Florida where our version of winter has arrived. It was a chilly 45 degrees and windy here this morning although the sun is shining. The funny thing is that people dress like it is 10 below.

During my run this morning, I saw five people walking who were wearing heavy jackets, gloves and the ski masks with the holes for the eyes and mouth. Yet they thought I was crazy because I was wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt.

Supposed to last abut a week which will be a nice change of pace before we head to the tropics.

I love to dress up as well. I am bringing one long formal and a shorter LBD. I will also bring this gorgeous green dress I borrowed from a friend. Then I am bringing a black skirt and 3 different tops. I still have to figure out what to do as far as the other casual dresses. I did manage to get a pair of shoes that I can wear with all the dressier stuff. I might just wear flip flops the rest of the time. I hope I can get all my clothes in one bag and then steal some room from my DD9's bag. Her clothes are smaller and don't take up so much room.:rotfl2:

Yesterday I had my orthodontist appointment and was hoping to get them off before the cruise. Well.....not so lucky. Apparently the bite is not 'perfect' yet so he won't take them off. Now I have to go on the cruise with my blingy teeth!!

After I got home from work last night we finally received our phone call from the golden retriever rescue. We have been waiting since last April for a rescue dog. They have a beautiful young male who is available. We went and met him last night and he is gorgeous. He is very mellow. They estimate his age somewhere between 18-24 months. No behavior issues that they have seen. He came to them about 3 weeks ago and had kennel cough. That is taken care of now, but he has to be neutered before he can come home. The vet won't operate for another 2 weeks which is when we will be leaving. They told us that they would keep fostering him until we get home from vacation.:banana: He is going to come over to our house on Friday to meet the cat. If that meeting goes well, then we will finally have our dog. I tried to take a couple pictures with my phone, but they did not turn out. I'll try to take a couple more on Friday.

I can't believe that we leave in 13 days!!!!!!:yay:

So excited for your new addition. Fingers crossed cat will not have an opinion ;)

I am packing ... :laundy:

I love to dress up too so maybe bringing a little too much, but...
- 2 formal dresses
- 2 semi formal dresses
- 2 little black dresses
- 1 pirate outfit
- 2 pant/blouse outfits
- 2 pairs of high heels
- 1 pair of high heel black boots

There is always room in DH's luggage!

wait a minute... :teacher:

3 pair of shoes... :confused3

My DW Amy told me that its in the DCL rule book that women must have at least a different pair of shoes for each day of the cruise.

That is why I have her heels in my suitcase. :stir:

I think I better find those cruise documents and start reading... :surfweb:
