Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

wait a minute... :teacher:

3 pair of shoes... :confused3

My DW Amy told me that its in the DCL rule book that women must have at least a different pair of shoes for each day of the cruise.

That is why I have her heels in my suitcase. :stir:

I think I better find those cruise documents and start reading... :surfweb:

LOL :rotfl: and I thought I was overdoing it! Do 1 pair of sandals, a pair of runners and 2 pairs of flip flops thrown in count???

Hmm. Those plans sound pretty darn good. I will consult with DH and may copy cat! I'm also considering the Caret Island excurison on Guadeloupe.

We'll be there! Should be a blast!!!

I rushed over to the SW site, but no luck on our prices falling. Yay for you all Mike.

Altho the earlier nonstop is equivalent in price, is 8:50 am too early a flight to catch? I thought so but the next nonstop to KC is at 5:45, getting back to KC at 7:45 and then we have a 3 hour drive home. DH has work the next day and DD and I have an 8:30am dentist appt.

8:50 is WAAAY too early. 11am would be the earliest I would attempt, particularly with the tighter security at MCO and that being one of the busiest weeks for Disney, I imagine the airport will be packed.

Dinner, Dec 15th - Ruth's Chris $68.00
Dinner, Dec 16th - The Melting Pot $90.00
Having dinner on U.S. soil with my husband, daughter, mom, and sister.....PRICELESS!!

:yay:
LOOOOOVVE:love: the Melting Pot! One of the must-hit restaurants I had on my list the last time I was in the U.S. That along with the Cheesecake Factory! :thumbsup2

We're going on the Caret Island excursion. In 22 days I will be here -

You should come with us!! It is going to be AMAZING!!!

See you there!

What is the status on a precruise Dismeet in the parks or whatever? I am quite behind on the boards. But, ever since I met Angie, I am really excited about precruise meets!

Well, we didn't seem to get much interest in it, so we didn't pursue it. We can always meet for drinks at SSR or DTD one evening if folks would like to do that. Let me know and I'll have DH pick a day and time to set something up.

Also, for those who asked, we are, in fact, still waiting for DCL to get back to us with a place for our DisMeet on board. We'll let you know as soon as we get that set.

Also for any of you out by the port on the 17th, is there someplace you'd like to try and meet around 7ish? Is there a little restaurant or family-friendly bar where we could get a drink or coffee or something for an hour? I don't think CI&S has anything like that...:confused3

This was brutal week at work - but it is almost over and all my big programs have finished! yeah!!!! :cool1: Now I'm exhausted, but need to get to packing! This weekend, we have DD6 (almost 7) birthday party, breakfast with Santa, getting everyone's hair cut, DD9 has a sleepover...good grief! Wish me luck - I will get on a plane on Dec. 9 whether everything's done or not!

The map created by Kitster can be accessed at http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/a459/Kitster2/FE_DeckPlan.jpg

It has marked ALL the rooms including both rooms when they are sharing a single Fish Extender. The only room that seems to be missing is Brooke3L. It does have the late FE joiners on there. There is 1 room marked with a green Mickey Head, but the rest show up (at least for me) as being red arrows pointing to the room.

Thanks once again to both tinkmischief and Kitster for the work they put in to help organize this.
There is also a link to the map on the 1st page of this thread, directly below the graphic. Sorry for the one green marker, it just showed up better against the dark pink cabin color.

I'm here desperately packing and getting everything finalized ........ we leave for FL @8:50am TOMORROW. Still need to take the cat to the kennel, ship the FE gifts to the port, triple check our over-stuffed luggage to make sure the kitchen sink hasn't been left out, update computers, pack photo equipment ............. It's gonna be a long night :lmao:

Thanks for posting the FE map again!!

From the sounds of it we are going to be one well dressed ship!! I, too, am bringing my fair share of shoes. I could probably get away with one pair of heels but I never get to wear them so I'm bring a few pairs!

After school today I am taking Agnes to buy her first snorkel. I can't wait to teach her to use them in ocean. She is so excited to see fish outside of an aquarium.

I've almost completed all my magnets. I have one last thing to make - Malecifent's headdress. I want to have like the Mickey ears. Sure this might be a Christmas cruise but it's fun to be a little evil too. :thumbsup2

Caryn couldn't help but wonder :confused:if your extended family was snowed under today! Hear they had lake effect snow and 18" were dumped yeterday. Incredible stories about the highways being closed (I90 and 190) for up to ten hours and people stranded on them. The lists this morning of closures south of the border went on and on! Thankfully we still have green grass showing and are just above freezing.

Hope your family faired well...

How do we figure out our dining rotation? I looked through our documents but I couldn't find anything. I know we have the main seating for time does that determine which restaurant you at first?

How many dresses are you gals bringing? I have my 2 formal dresses, a not as formal but dressy for Luminere's, and a few of casual jersey dresses. I am definitely wearing one of the jersey dresses while shopping in Martinique. Nothing like playing dress up to look at expensive French clothes, cosmetics, etc. that I probably can't afford!! :lmao::lmao:

I need some serious packing help! I love dressing up so I keep putting dresses and shoes aside to take. At this point I would need about 5 garment bags. :rotfl:

Thanks for asking that question, I have been specifically wondering about formal dressess and what others are doing. I have one full length gown but have been waffling on the other formal dress because none are screaming "wear me". I also have my dressed picked for the semi-formals. I tend to go dressy tops and dress pants for dinner as I am always cold in the dining rooms.

not!

Michelle and I are meeting for drinks at 7pm (after we hit a grocery store) at the Flamingo Lounge at the Radisson Resort at the Port...the more the merrier!:dance3:

Thank you :goodvibes. My 85 yr old Aunt is right on Lake Erie and is staying put for a bit. Her road is a short but steep private road that another neighbor keeps plowed, so access to her is good. Her #2 and #3 son are in downtown BFLO and Kenmore, north of downtown. Aunt got a lot more than both her sons. The bands of Lake Effect snow are very narrow this storm. But photos of the area between my Aunt and Downtow -- zowie! Let me find a few pictures from Facebook ...

Can't wait for drinks!!

Who else has the early dining? It would be great if we could somehow get seating together!

I need some Calgon! (anyone out there remember those commercials?) State gymnastics tournament tomorrow, Breakfast w/Santa + SEC championship game/hubby's office Christmas gathering Sat, playing bells + kids acolyting + Unit Christmas lunch Sunday.....arrrgh! I would say I need a vacation, but I've got one coming in 16 days! Woo Hoo!

Next week I've somehow got to motivate my students and my own child to study for exams, then exams the week before the cruise and Winter graduation the day before we drive down. DOTD is on my mind!

Wow! I didn't watch the news today to see pictures. Looks like another world when it is only 1.5 hours away. Thank goodness Lake Ontario controls our weather. We are close enough to the lake that even though DD prays for bus cancellations for school she can go a few school years without one. I think it has been about 3 years at this point. Reminds me of the years we lived in Alberta and Manitoba. Southern Ontario doesn't get storms like that, you have to go furhter north or into other areas.

Glad to hear everyone is safe and wise enough to wait out the worst of it :)

Just over two weeks and we are on our way :beach: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 :banana::banana: :dance3: :beach:
