Magic band special features and interactions?

Back when the concept of magic bands was introduced, it was mentioned that the bands could be used for interactive features in the parks. Did that ever come to pass? If so, is there a resource that shows where these places are? I'm referring to interactive elements in ride queues and such. I know some bands will generate a different tone at entrance gates.

A whole of things relating to MB & MDE have been pulled back and delayed. The FP+ only M&G's for instance. The queues are set, they only needed to stick in the Mickey Ear sensors, and it never happened. MDE actually briefly changed over, but they backed it out last minute. They are still adding the elements to the rides, just nothing has gone live yet. For instance, look at the signs in last scene of It's A Small World. A few look suspiciously like LCD screens, with people speculating it will either say "Au Revoir Johnny!" or show an animated Small World doll you will create online beforehand.

Not sure what exactly you mean by interactive but some of the LE bands do things when you touch the Mickey heads. For example we got the LE MNSSHP bands and when you enter the MK the circling lights are multicolored and you hear Mickey say Happy Halloween. This happens when you tap at the FP+ Mickey's as well (very Cool, CM's would have us tap again so they could see what they do). We were bummed that it only worked at MK, and our LE F & W bands did absolutely nothing.

Not sure what exactly you mean by interactive ...

Many on-ride (and other) "interactions" were/have been hinted by those involved.
For instance, guests' names can be called out at as a vehicle passes a certain point.

As mentioned above, some guests might see a "goodbye" with their name included on the
display as their boat passes through the last room of Small World.

These kind of things, and more, are possible.

Robo the interactive experiences you are suggesting would be way cooler than what we had. I hope they happen soon as we really enjoyed our little bits of magic.

There were also Darth Vader and Yoda magic bands at SWW that did specialty things when tapped.

Do the videos not link from ToT anymore? Ours did when we went in September.

Not sure if this still applies, but you were able to unlock special content in the Disney Infinity games by scanning your MagicBand into the game.

That's not dependent on having a Magic Band. Any BOG lunch reservation can pre-order.

It wasn't really the pre ordering I was referring to as being special with Magic bands. When we went to BOG last March, we checked into the podium and since we had pre ordered, they told us to just walk in and grab a table anywhere and our food would magically appear. The way they knew where we were sitting was because of our magic bands.
