I haven't read the last two pages.. but man yall are yappy today!! :rotfl2:

I steam cleaned my carpets upstairs today and they are wet. It is 98 outside, I have a window open up here and generally it is hot as h*ll compared to the rest of the house. Today - 74.3 :confused3 What the heck?

So... you guys are drunk posting during the day?????? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Seriously though, I'm cleaning - I guess I'm sympathic nesting or something. I'll check in later when I'm not standing on wet carpet.

Hi guys! :hippie: I've been trying to read thru on and off today to see what I missed from the weekend. So, we're going to WDW in Sept? 2009 or 2010? I vote for 2009!:yay: How does that work w/vacations that everyone already has planned?

I am already starting to save my pennies, so I don't have any guilts about going. Darrin and I don't take separate vacations. I did a girl's Vegas trip once, only because his grandma got sick and couldn't go, and it was w/a bunch of older women (my future MIL included!), but he has never let me live it down, even tho he does the occasional camping weekend and a yearly fantasy football weekend as of a couple of years ago. It's all in good fun, but I don't want to push my luck! We just can't do family vacations, couples trips AND separate vacations. I am all over this one! Let's do it!! We need to do an official poll. I'll keep notes on my "list".

I am going to cut back on lunches out, Starbucks, and maybe even stop doing my nails, not say anything about it, and stash that money away.:rolleyes1 He did say that our girls might have issue w/the location though! We will take them to WDW in Nov 2009 as planned, so it won't be an issue! We deserve it! Maybe we could stay at the ASMo or ASMu or POP and stay 2 to a room so we can keep costs down for just a long weekend, do one nice dinner, and do the rest counter service? Something like that?

Laura - cute pics of your angel! :rotfl2: Better conditioner in the hair than gum! We did that a time or two!

Cammie - Glad Amanda is doing better. My girls and I loved Mama Mia. I couldn't sit still in my chair, and get ready for some tears, too. I ended up not seeing it w/my girlfriends last night. One had a baby that had a rough night teething, and I had a major headache yesterday. At least I saw it, but it is a good girlfriend movie! Cute pic of Amanda w/Cruella!

Kara - I loved your Oscar the Grouch story! Poor man, but FUNNY! I am a major worry wart when my girls aren't w/me, or at least I think I am. Enjoy your date week!!

Renee - I loved your dog barf story! Gross. I could not eat there.

Debbie - I'm w/ya on the house. We have way too much fun, and I have so many other things that I would rather be doing than cleaning house. I have someone come in every other week, but it doesn't get done much other than that. The night before she comes we run around like crazy picking up. It's nuts!

I did a lot of cooking over the weekend. I guess even tho it's 100+, I am feeling like fall is approaching, since school starts 3 weeks from today! We ate at home all weekend, and I cooked some meals for the week. It makes it much easier to get home and just heat up something in the microwave. We were bringing take out home too much there for awhile. I was getting sick of the choices.

:grouphug:
Pam2

Pam, I have my newspaper open right now looking for a housekeeper. I just want my house to be totally clean once every other week, like I used to have in SC. It was so nice. She came on Thursdays so it was nice for the weekend, in case we had people in. And I would rearrange her schedule depending on when we had people come to visit!

Ally starts school two weeks from today - I can't believe the summer's almost over!!! Where did the time go? :confused3

I don't want to get her school supplies until after the orientation though because the past two years, I've gone with what they school posts online, and then she comes home the first day with a whole other list!!! So I think this year I'll just wait. It's not like they need all that stuff on Day 1 anyway.

And stupid Florida didn't even vote on tax free weekend this year, so we just didn't have it. And it's funny that I complain about it because I never went out then anyway in SC. The crowds were crazy, and think about it - it's a 6% savings!!! I'd rather take advantage of 30% off at another less busy time!

Pam, it's amazing how much money you can come up with by cutting out the "little" things. But you still have to physically take that money out of your account and put it in an envelope and stash it away. When I quit smoking I took out $21/week and stashed it away. Amazing how quickly it added up!

If not I am sure Cammie Tina and I would love to have you all here in Boston. I am sure we could find things to do. Like a winter resort with a fireplace and hot cocoa and SHOPPING!!!!

Jillian - this sounds nice, too! Boston in the fall!

Or Debbie's suggestion of Chicago! What a fun city!

OK - I vote to meet ANYWHERE but here! Just kidding. There's fun things to do here, but I want to go somewhere else! I think we'd have fun just about anywhere, but I would love it if it were WDW!

Laura - I mean to say that I love Katherine's castle, and my living room is that small, too! It looks pretty! We're a cozy family in our small house!

Renee - Any baby news yet? If SIL has help for the first 2 weeks, I think I would keep your original plan/ticket and help out when baby is 8 weeks. ITA that she will be sleep deprived by then and appreciate the break, especially since she'll be going back to work at 10 weeks.

Megan just told me they didn't march outside today. Thank goodness. I was worried about her in this heat advisory we're having. They will be the rest of the week though. I am ready for school to start, for the big reason of not having to worry about where the kids are going, people picking them up and dropping them off at home, getting the front door locked, and kids forgetting keys. Megan was locked out of the house for a brief time this afternoon because Taylor was picked up and was doing something w/friends earlier and of course locked the house when she left. Megan forgot her key at home this AM, so she had to stay at the home of who we are carpooling with for a little bit.

Oh, I have trip reports and Florida blogs to catch up on. I must log on at home tonight! I've also gotten a little addicted to the DISign boards. I am still deciding what to put on the onsie I got for my neice. It won't fit her by the time I decide and get the project done!:rotfl2: Story of my life!

Pam - We may not have to deal with an All Star resort. Sept. is cheaper to begin with; Kara has a Fl.resident rate she could look into; I have an AP rate I could check out; also, I have a DDE card that would give us 20% off TS meals, including alcohol. And I agree, think it would be more cost effective to share rooms. Anyone else getting excited? :hyper:

With leaving the house M-F at 7:30am, and getting home at 6:15pm (I've been coming in and leaving earlier during the summer), and all of the kids' activities on the weekend, I just couldn't do it! It was really starting to get bad, and I would never let anyone in my house. She just does a heavy cleaning every other week, and I'm lucky if I dust mop the floors in between. It's hard enough to keep up w/laundry. That is a luxury I will not ever give up unless I have to!!

I don't want to get her school supplies until after the orientation though because the past two years, I've gone with what they school posts online, and then she comes home the first day with a whole other list!!! Our PTA sells pre-packaged school supplies, but this will be our last year for that. They don't do it in middle school. It is the way to go. We don't have to run out looking for everything and run across things we just can't find. It's not much more, if any, than getting the things ourselves, esp when you add in the gas prices! Now Megan on the other hand, starts high school, so we will be at the stores in the crazy crowds, the first couple nights of school.

I stay away from tax-free weekend, too. There are other sales and coupons this time of year. It's got to be a heck of a deal to get me out there that weekend, penny pincher that I can be on some things. Crowds are nuts!

I do get out to shop the day after Thanksgiving. That doesn't make any sense, but it's different to me!:) Darrin says it's the same thing. NOT!

I know my girls would have a fit knowing I was going without them; and, I'll admit, it might be a little weird - but I'll get over that after I take a sip from my first Grey Goose Citron Slushie!

No, but really, I deserve to have a trip for MYSELF to MY happy place - if that's Disney, then so be it. I'm still planning on taking the girls for our annual trip in 2009 - will probably be during the first week of December. My girls will have their time in Disney also.:)

Cool! And, more fun to share rooms - just like a slumber party! I am so excited, I can't stand it! This will be fun!!

I will, I will! (I don't get out much! It's my own darn fault, but I don't!)

Good grief - how am I suppose to keep up with you all with my wet floors up here! :rotfl:

I've decided I will catch up later when I can sit down and not have wet feet - which might be the am. Here is the SIL update...

Failure to progress after 15 hours of labor (dificult too. She called me crying:sad1: ) In for a CSection now. I talked to her mom, and she will be staying this week and MAYBE two days next week. Now, I do remember my BIL has 2 weeks paternity leave, but he is a MAN! :lmao: So I'm debating what to do. Man it so stinks we don't live closer. I would go and take my kids, but I think that is more than she needs.

I am actually tempted to call Super Supers up there and have them do her 12 meals and deliver them. At least that way all BIL has to do is peal off the lid and stuff it in the oven. I don't know.

Not to say anything bad about her mom - but I really hate that she is taking off the same time she is in the hospital. I mean, she has nurses there to help her. She'll need help at home. :sad2:

I am VERY excited but I just don't know if I can pull it off. I would like to think I could but for one my Mom would be jealous and two I can't imagine YET going without the kids (mainly Elizabeth). Who knows maybe as you guys get to planning I will be able to swing it. I would be so jealous to NOT be there! I also wouldn't mind smushing everyone in rooms. We would really get to REALLY know each other VERY quickly!

I will, I will! (I don't get out much! It's my own darn fault, but I don't!)
Me either!

Bummer! You are right though she will need the help after she gets home. I had a ******l delivery with Elizabeth and C-Section with Matthew and the C-Section recovery was BRUTAL!!!!!

OK OK morning.
Debbie there is just no way Carlos would be into switching resorts. Honestly. It would be more things for him to gripe about than I want to take on!

I was an English major so I hate that. !!!
I bet I drive you absolutely bonkers! I never spell or grammer check a thing. Just type and go -

Renee, I got your package!!! Thank you! :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2 $10000000 in unmarked bills please :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I know, I battled with this issue too, but you know what? How often do I do stuff just for me? CKU was my first and I came back so much more present for them that we all benefited. Seriously, when I go to WDW with the kids, for me it is all about the kids. I'd like just once in my life for it to be a fun - no one to please but me (I know how that sounds, but you know what I mean). No worries of who is fed, what they are wearing ... I mean, I love you guys, but ... :rotfl: Hot meals, drinks when you want, and it isn't for long. BESIDES IT IS A CONVENTION! :cool1: A CFWW CONVENTION I TELL YOU!:rotfl:

Cool! And, more fun to share rooms - just like a slumber party! I am so excited, I can't stand it! This will be fun!!

Me either!

Same here. BUT don't you think if you had a C the first time with only one it would have been better? I thought that was a big part of my problem. BUT she definately is going to need some help right away. :rolleyes1

I just got a phone pix of the baby. BEAUTIFUL! Looks like her mom - he he!

Good grief - how am I suppose to keep up with you all with my wet floors up here! :rotfl:

Don't get electric shock! Poor SIL! The dinners are a great idea! I thought meals were the best gifts when I had the babies, and still do when we are down and out for any reason!

:yay: This would be so fun!!! You need to go! We'll make each other get over our guilts! Somehow, I think you feel more guilty than I do!:guilty:

I will tell you this regarding the trip - I'm super bathroom low maint. I'm not a primper. 15 minutes - shower, hairwash, bit of makeup (mainly to not look like I've just been socked in both eyes)- done.
