I'm honestly thinking about nixing this dining plan. It seems a little much for "potential" 30% savings. I mean, if we don't really do fine dining, I'm not so certain we will come out that ahead. Only thing would be we could do the 0% deal on the Disney Visa...
Honestly? I don't think we'd do the dining plan again if we had to pay for it. It takes too much time out of the day for sit down meals (IMHO) - we usually do 2 nice dinners for a one week stay, and the rest is just quick service. If you're only doing 4 or 5 nights, I don't think I'd do it. Just book a couple of character meals OR leave it up to Carlos! He might really like some of the dining options offered in Disney. We do like that about the dining plan...
So Lauren's friend just came over to play. She lives kind-of around the block, but it's a l-o-o-o-ng block; about a 10 minute walk door to door, or 5 minute bike ride. She shows up on her bike - NO HELMET!!!!

She biked over yesterday to drop something off and no helmet then either. The first thing I aske her is "Where is your helmet?" She tells me she can't find it - their garage is really a mess right now; her mother told her it was ok to just go. Now I'm really good friends with the mom and I just can't stand that she does this! Especially since one of the roads you have to bike on is a pretty busy cut-through street. Just poor, poor judgement, IMO. God, all it takes is one lousy bump; or one swerve. I just don't understand what she's thinking to let her go out TWICE now w/out a helmet!
I totally agree with what you're saying, but when we were kids??? No helmet, no car seats, etc. And we're still here!
I'd have ... a well-stocked liquor cabinet!
I'M IN!!!!
Well, Ally is leaving now with Jeff's parents. I'm gonna miss my little knucklehead!!! She's a little hesitant right now - she says she's worried about me.

My sweet baby!
Jeff's dad is still hobbling around. They were at the urgent care for 6 hours on Saturday! The dr there sent them for an ultrasound to make sure he didn't have a blood clot in his leg. All was well with that so she took him off his Darvoset (that he's been on since his accident) and gave him something stronger, plus a muscle relaxant. He's still in some pain but it's a little duller.
We took him to the pool yesterday and that seemed to help him out some. But he's calling his dr on the way home today to get in to see him. Sciatica can be caused by a herniated disc, but I told him that according to what I read, it's also more common in older adults with a sedentary lifestyle. So he needs to start moving around more. All he does is sit on the couch all day long, except for once or twice a week golfing.
Oh, and the reason he was cleaning out the garbage can, is because they leave it outside all the time, and with the remnants and storms coming from the hurricane (which we never even got a single drop of rain, let alone a storm!!!) they were going to move the can into the garage so it wouldn't blow away. And like most garbage cans, it was yucky. We all still tease him about it. But he still has nerve pain from that and he always will.
I have so much I want to get done this week, but in all reality I probably won't get a single thing accomplished!!!
Oh, and believe it or not they didn't push the issue of going to SIL's at all. It came up once and MIL just said it's too bad Ally starts school the next day. So apparently she agrees with me for not wanting to take Ally that weekend. I couldn't believe it. I told her that I had found a flight for Jeff to fly up there. But I guess he doesn't want to go that bad.
Well, I've been trying to post this now for 30 minutes.... My baby just left! And I just realized I forgot to put all her contact and health info on her car seat. I need to call them and make sure they transfer the info that's on the car seat they have at their house, to the car seat that they have with them now. I hate that!!!!!
