We've set sail on #46 aboard the wonderful Disney Magic (as opposed to the magical Disney Wonder). I think it's been nearly two years since we did a 7-day, but I've been amazed at the number of familiar faces. I think of the Wonder as my home away from home, but I feel so welcomed on the Magic. :sunny:

We paid a surprise visit to Shirley and Norm before heading to the port; by the time we got there, they weren't handing out numbers anymore (they do it the first hour of boarding). Check-in line was long, but line to board the ship was non-existent.

We did Palo brunch today...EXCELLENT as always. In an hour we'll be heading to the spa to try out the new villas for a couples treatment. The villas are gorgeous! You even have your own hot tub. Hubby thought the singles villa was for couples because it was so large.

You can see lots of damage in Key West on the buildings and vegetation. We just walked around and did some shopping (Tortuga rum cakes...mmmmm!). We're having an awesome time, as always.

The wireless internet setup was painless on my laptop. I'm writing from Promenade Lounge, where we found a handy electric outlet.

Have a great time Barb and Tony - and everyone else sailing this week. Just a few more weeks and it will be our turn!

Hi Barb & Tony,

Thanks for the report. We are sailing on the next Western (19th) with the intinerary change to Costa Maya so we are very interested in the drydock upgrades and CM. Keep it coming.

Hey there barb,
First thank you for taking the time to come by and see Norm and I - most of all THANK YOU for checking Key West for us - we knew that so much of plants, trees etc were destroyed due to 3 ft of water on Duval, Whitehead and Simonton Street - well 44% of Key West - Anyhow have A MAGICAL time girlfriend and hugssssssssssssss to you and Tony.
Luv ya
Shirley and Norm

OK, Barb. Can you get to the bottom of the door sign rule this week? Someone else has been told no more door signs. Thanks!

Yes, I would love to know this too. I will be making them really soon, and I don't want to waste stuff and time if they are not allowed....

not sure where that came from...just on there last week and everyone in our group had door magnets.....and no one mentioned while we were there, in ship board announcements or anything that you couldn't have it anymore

There is a thread today posted by a DISer onboard who had their sign removed by their host & was told that they were no longer allowed.

Oh no, I can't believe that they would eliminate door signs. I have spent the last few weeks working and planning mine. Please say it isn't true . . .

Thanks for the reports. Have a wonderful trip and PLEASE inform on the door sign issue!!!!

Thanks,
Gina
