Have a good one!

TCD

Thunk you, thunk you very much, for the birthday wishes!

If I had known that I was gonna live to be 48, I would have taken much better of myself when I was in my 20's!

We still need to have a reunion of this bunch some where down the road. One day this thread will drop, and it will be harder to keep in touch. Here is my plan. If you guys will PM or email me your email address, I will keep them, and try to set somethings up in the future. And if anyone wants to look up an old Turkey cruiser, they could contact me and the database. How does this sound?
If we stay in contact, we are more likely to cruise together again in the future.

Willie

Don't feel bad, Lampy, no place is perfect. I promise you there will be several times this summer when a hurricane is churning its way up the Gulf when I will be asking myself why I live on the Gulf coast of Florida. We will be hot, and there will be lines at the gas station and the grocery store. Maybe we will lose our power for a few days, or worse, and I will be drinking a warm beer thinking of you skiing on your lake with a cold one in your hand-so it all evens out.

Just recieved this e-mail about "investments". What do you all think?

Subject: Retirement Info

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year go, it would now be
worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all
the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you
would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily
and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan.

I don't think you got this in an e-mail.

I was surprised when I first read this, because I remembered you were the one who wrote some sort of a list a few weeks back about 'why go skiing?' (Remember? It talked about frostbite, and WALKING down the slopes?) Then I read on, what helped make it bearable! :rotfl: What, no brandy? That's an instantaneous warmer-upper! :rotfl:

I loved the 401-keg plan!

Amazing what a guy will do for peace and quiet after a 285 mile ride in the car with 3 women??? :rotfl2:

Semi load of beer vanishes

The Associated Press
Published February 24, 2006, 1:14 PM CST

WEST BEND, Wis. -- The thieves could be having one heck of a beer bash. That's unless the law catches up with them.

A semi trailer loaded with Miller beer has disappeared from a trucking company in Washington County.

A load with nearly two-thousand cans and bottles of Genuine Draft, MGD and Miller Lite worth more than $25,000 has vanished from Millis Transfer in Richfield.

The beer was dropped off February 17th for delivery to a beer distributor in Menomonee Falls. During an inventory check later that day, the trailer was discovered missing.

The company spent the next few days determining whether one of their drivers had picked up the wrong load. But, that wasn't the case, so the company called the sheriff's department.

The trailer was found earlier this week at an Oak Creek trucking firm -- minus the beer.

I appreciate the humor and I would interrogate Lampy thoroughly although there is something that doesn't jive with this story.

2,000 cans of beer is about 84 cases. In NJ you can buy a case of Miller for $12 - $16 depending on the brand which at most is around $1,400.

Who is doing the math here? How do you get $25,000 for 2000 cans?

Uhh, Lampy and I would like to invite you all to a beer bash we are throwing up at West Bend, WI. Only problem is we don't have any beer left. Sorry about that.

W

Rob and I will supply the beer (for the next reunion, that is. Too cold in WI right now.)

Speaking of, (reunions) I just booked spring break 2007 (thought I had earlier, but had wrong dates) for the eastern. (March 17-24.) We'll switch that one, though, for another Thanksgiving week (2007) with the Turkey Day gang. Only problem is, the itinerary isn't posted yet, and it seems that the past three Thanksgivings have been the western? Don't know if this one will be any different.

I posted on cruisecritic.com message boards recently, and asked if there's a certain night (on RCCL) like pirate night, in which the waitstaff encourages the families to 'get up in dance in a conga line.' I wasn't prepared for the responses. :duck: "I hope not, it's an elegant dining room, and it would take away from the ambiance.' 'No, they don't encourage fraternization with the waitstaff.' I was embarrassed. OOOOKAAAAY!

Priscilla -

How terrible for them. I guess we were truly spoiled. When you said that they don't encourage fraternization with the waitstaff, I was flabergasted. You may be the only person that talks to the waitstaff and they may end up bending over backwards because your such a nice person to them. Poo Poo on everyone else.

No wonder everyone wants to work for DISNEY.
