Maria, isn't THAT the truth! We're booked for the eastern NEXT March 17th, and I don't even know if a thread has been started yet. Haven't checked. I'm having more fun over here.

I'm wondering since some of the gang is going on the eastern for the 10-day holiday this year, if most everyone will be ready for a western again Thanksgiving 2007.

Oh, and Charlie sounds like a very smart man to decline any other cruise than DCL. If I had my way, we'd do no one else but DCL. One of the good things I can say about cruising another line, it's better than no cruise at all.

I shouldn't sound so negative. :eeyore:

Thanksgiving 07? Kim HATES the Western but maybe by then she'll realize the 2 days at CC is worth it!!!

Hey all.....my eldest baby thurned sweet 16 today!!!! Happy birthday Jessica!!! I baught her a "beetle"...lime green with moon roof and parked it in the driveway with a BIG bow and balloons all over it!!

LOL! That is the exact car that my DD has in mind for her 16th BD! Luckily, I have a year and a quarter until that happens! You are such a good dad. You are making the rest of us look bad!

Some good things happened with Ron at work, and he can't get away for Christmas. So he booked with Tonya and Trey on the November 25th Eastern.

Looks like may be just me and Iceman on the 10 day Christmas. Haven't heard from John and Julia on that site. But they did this same thing last year, then in the Summer got very involved.

Willie

Help us out on a name for the after thanksgiving cruise. I think we should be called the left over turkies. What do you think.

AAAAWWWW! What a wonderful birthday present from Dad. :bday: Does this 'beetle' have a flower vase on the dash? I'll bet she's very excited! :yay: You'll have to post to us what her reaction was.

It's a shame that you won't be on the 10-day cruise with Willie, but good for you at work! Maybe the 'turkey leftovers' and 'Christmas Hams' could meet up again in 2007. I don't know what to call the group I'm sailing with spring break 2007. (Nonexistent?) Must look farther down for the thread.

I was beginning to wonder when you're going to post again Andrew. :)

Exactly! This thread is definitely more fun!

We will probably book onboard for the Thanksgiving 2007 especially if we know you all will be on there.I am sure after that one will be ready to go back on the Eastern.I love the Eastern Carribbean a lot better then the Western Carribbean, but I also enjoy spending Thanksgiving on a cruise.

I agree totally I would cruise any line as long as I was cruising.DCL is the best though. You will have a great time

Lampskies-Happy Birthday Jessica!Great gift!I am sure she was very happy.

I think most of us who've sailed the western hate it too! :rotfl2: I was originally enticed by it because of the CC two-stop, and to take a break from family (whole extended family all lives within 40 miles of one another, we spend EVERY other holiday together.) However, we were pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be the best cruise yet, because of the Turkey cruisers! My feelings wouldn't be hurt if I never saw Costa Maya again, and I'm starting to wonder if Grand Cayman is really out there, but we're ready to go again if we can sail with you all again. :Pinkbounc (Well, that is, if it's 2007. :rotfl: )

Priscilla- Sorry to worry you. ;) I do check in on the Dis Boards just about every day. I don't always have time to post, though. I don't think that I can break this bad habit any time soon, so I will be here for a while. We are going camping at WDW at the end of this month, and I am not bringing a computer with me, so someone keep an eye on this thread so it doesn't disappear!

I would definitely consider a Thanksgiving cruise in '07!

Have fun on RCCL!

I can't believe that Dubbya and Lampy are not going to cruise together! :confused3

It ain't right! :sad2:

Like the Captain without Tenille. Like coffee without cream. Like bread without butter. Like Corona without the lime. Like Ron Bon Jovi without the Ron. Like the Village People without the sailor! :rotfl2:

I can't even bear to think about how sad this makes Dubbya! :(

The Turkey Left Overs, eh? Sounds right to me.

And the Miller Family may be looking at Thanksgiving 2007, if the prices don't just get crazy. It will depend on how the Christmas cruise goes. Because of my work, I have to cruise on a holiday of some sort.

Do you guys remember a friend of mine from here in Lumberton that was going to sail with us, but had to back out? He posted under the name Manley5. His name is Hershel. He has a daughter that is 12 and the cruise was to be a celebration of her remission from leukemia. Her name is Caroline. And she is DD Erin's friend and soccer team mate.

If they had been able to cruise with us, you guys would have loved this family.
Caroline was first diagnosed when she was 4. Went thru two years of treatment, and was in remission for 5 years. then relapsed, went thru 2 more years of treatment, finishing last August.

Unfortunately, she is back in Houston getting chemo. They are trying to arrange a bone marrow transplant.
I only post this here because Hershel was a DIS member and would have been a Turkey with us. And if even one more person adds a prayer, it would help.
Anyway, if anyone would like to check her progress, or read more information, they have a Care Page for her at WWW.CarePages.com
Sign in and go to CarolinesPage

Lampy, hope your reading the most recent posts. A few (might turn out to be a lot!) of us might be interested in the Thanksgiving western sailing in 2007. (Occassionally remind Kim of the CC double-dip. :) )

Was Jessica excited about her car?

Willie- Consider it done! Some of you might not believe it, but I am very active in my church (I am a work in progress). I will add Caroline to my Church's prayer list. That won't just be just one more person praying for her, it will be hundreds!

Everybody be sure to hug your kids today! There is so much that we take for granted.

Hey All,

Just wanted to let you all know that I am alive and well (Tonya hasn't done me in YET).

Willie, consider Lampe coming on the Turkey & Ham "Sandwich" Cruise as a loan. You can have him back (maybe) for the next one. :woohoo:

Hope everyone is happy and health!

Hey Trey!

Glad to see your Fave Slave finally let you get a DIS screen name!
Yeah, you guys take care of Lampy. I thought his stamina dropped some this past cruise. he was finishing his beer and heading to bed by 3:00 AM or so. Kinda early for him. But late enough to see the hot tub party that we WEREN'T invited to! :confused3

Yes, our feelings are still hurt.
