Hi everyone,

Anybody care for some SNOW. We got dumped on and have over 18 inches of the stuff on the ground.

Boy do I wish I was living at my house in Florida. But will have to wait a few more months till we do that.

Yes, Laura, Hayleys knee surgery went well. She is doing physical therapy every morning and afternoon. But she can walk now without the crutches. School is kinda of tough, they have so many books to carry, and they don't do lockers anymore. She is taking 4 advanced classes so she can't afford to miss many classes.

Austin was great. We stayed at a condo up on a tall hillside overlooking Lake Travis. But is was too cold to sit out on the deck. We went into town and Kelli had never been to the Texas State Capitol so we went there for a little while, then found a good Mexican Restaurant and had some margaritas. There is a Carlos and Charlies right near the condo, so we made a visit there Saturday evening. Nothing special, just a weekend away with some friends. This coming saturday kicks off our youth basketball season (Erin) and I will be busy almost every weekend from now til summer. I think I have one saturday without games in March, and I have reserved to take Hayley bass fishing.
We may even go------CAMPING! Yes, in a tent! With the howl of the coyotes singing us to sleep. And of course the nightly visits of the raccoons looking for snacks in the cooler.

Ken- Except for no white stuff, it isn't much better in Florida today. It was 42 when I drove in to work this morning!

Central Florida is under a Freeze warning for tonight.

Now wait a minute, I thought that you are the real Dubbya, and that other guy is the other Dubbya.

That is great about the hunting trip! You know, Kelli was actually talking about that trip on the cruise. She was also asking us if we knew anyone who could write big life insurance policies. I thought it was strange that she would get a big life insurance policy for you for Valentines day, but I figured since you are in the insurance business it was something that you might have wanted (you know-like the cobbler who never had a nice pair of shoes). You didn't mention anything about the new insurance policy- I hope I don't ruin the surprise But I can't believe that she wouldn't mention it, she was talking all about it with that old high school buddy of yours who just "happened" to show up on the cruise.

So-have fun hunting! You are so lucky to have such a thoughtful Wife!

That hunting trip with Cheney sounds even better than swimming lessons and driver's ed from Ted Kennedy! (Okay, that's an old one, I know.) Are you SERIOUS about having met the real 'W"? Wow!

Andrew, go ahead and rub it in about how warm FL is right now. This weekend was the coldest it's been all winter. It dropped to 25 yesterday!

I was watching the qualifying NASCAR yeaterday and saw that 43 degree track temp....WOW!! It is to be 48 here on Wednesday!!!

We Willie is she is as good at planning the "hunting trip" as you have been the "REAS" package you should have no problem.....As the VP is taking aim you'll be in some dark bar dancing with a bunch of guys in leather vests with wiggs on.....

O.K., now that all my replies are complete.....back to the "pot luck" party at our subdivision talk.....remember.."a night of a thousand stars"? Remember last year? Olga the Russian trapize artist that took too many steroids...or as I said "beer oids"!......Here is what I think I am going as.....ready? Anna Nicole Smith!!!!!!! Do you like my body???? And my buddy is going as Hugh Heffner.....we WILL have best costume locked up.....Think??????

Willie...glad to hear Haley is doing so well! I can sympathize for her...had to deal with crutches my senior year...couldn't drive my car and it really "cramped my style"...when I had a broken ankle in 8th grade, I couldn't even go to school for 3 months because the building was 3 stories with no elevator (pre ADA days) so I had a homebound teacher come to the house everyday...they almost failed me even though I had straight A's...just missed too many days.

And ya'll know about camping...that was the only family vacation I knew as a kid...truck camper then a 24" travel trailer, but when my girlfriend and I went camping in college we took the 3 person tent, cooler full of beverages and her dog. I can understand why Mom never thought it was much of a vacation...lots of work to do when you camp...not like the treatment ya get on DCL.

Hope ya'll are having some decent weather...it's colder than ever here and windy!!! It snowed off and on for the past 3 days, but so windy it never stuck to the ground...suppose to warm up into the 50s the next couple of days, but back down by the weekend.

Lampy- It was 34 when I took my DD to school just before sunrise this morning!

There is no doubt that you will have the best costume for your pot-luck (don't you always?). My only request is that you warn us before you post any photos. I usually check the Dis Boards as soon as I get to work in the morning, and I really don't want to have to work all day with damaged retinas and that queasy feeling I am sure to have. Anna Nicole Smith?!! I am scared just thinking about it! I don't think I can handle the photos!

Don't worry about this Monday TCD, we are going up to our neighbors "cottage" (right, 7 bedrooms in a resort, da#n attorneys, and they call us car guys rip off artists ) www.crystalmountain.com Kim and his wife is leaving Thursday and myself, girls and neighbor are leaving Friday. They are skiing, me? take a look at the bar in the lodge!!!! NASCAR ALL weekend!!!

Yes, that part was true. And yes, it was pretty cool. I got to speak with him for about 5 minutes at a fund raiser bbq held during his reelection as Gov.. At the time, the rumor was that he was going to run for President. I asked him about it. He winked at me and said that first he was gonna kick some butt in the Governors race. (Which he did) He seemed like someone that would be fun to hang with. Like a normal guy. I wish I had the guts then to have someone take my picture with him. But at the time and situation, it just did not seem like the thing to ask. Other people there did get a pic taken. But I didn't feel comfortable asking. I wish now that I had. Then I could post it here and TCD could doctor it up somehow.

DD Erin told her teacher this year that her dad had lunch with George Bush before, and the teacher sent home a letter about Erin telling tall tales in class. Go figure.

Glad to hear all is well with Haley....ya know, any "good Dad" would take her on a cruise so she could "rehab" in the waters of CC!!! LOL If you are too buy I volunteer to help out!!

In a few weeks when Hayley is getting around better, I am taking her bass fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn. It is a huge lake about a hour from here and has some of the best bass fishing in the nation. That is the camping trip. That girl would rather fish than play sports, I think. I just don't take her near as much as I should.
I will let her knee heal in the waters of "Big Sam"! She should be fed up with the recumbent bike by then. Not quite CC, though!
