Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Thanks Amy and thanks for being able to relate.

No much to report today. Internet was done at home last night and I was kind of at a loss. Gram came over and the kids played with the WII Fit. Finally....something they can do together.:woohoo: They had so much fun and Gram enjoyed watching them. Didn't get out last night, nor did I get my turn with the WII. Think I am going to have to post a schedule. :rotfl:

I did forget to report that I have lost another pound.:cool1: I am happy with just one at a time as long as it is going down and not up.

We shall see what today brings as it started very early again this morning.
Hope everyone has a great day.

:cool1: on the Wii Fit! I saw a clip on a more recent Wii Fit program, and it looked like it would do a good job - and I know that Leslie Sansone has the Walk Away the Pounds Program that is really good!

do stay out of lightening - or thunder!!

Hope the rains let up - they're supposed to start up here - and the weather is supposed to drop down in the upper 40's!! I may have to put long pants on yet!! :rotfl:

Thanks Sandy
The WII Fit is fun and both the kids like it and finally have something to do together. Someone at work was telling me about the new program today. He is going to get it and then let me borrow it to see if I like it.

Walked today and did 6 miles in 83 minutes.:cool1: I am very happy. The last mile I did just under 14 minutes. :woohoo:

Got the call today that DH's mother is on the down hill. She has been bed ridden for almost two years now and has lasted 16 months longer than the doctor initially thought she would. Expect we will be making a trip to NY soon. October 1 will be the in-laws 60th anniversary. Can you imagine?

No exercise today. Was planning to do strength training, but we had to go to the mall and get things for NY.

DS needed a suit, DD at least one dress, DH an extra dress shirt and I needed two dresses. The nurse said today to expect it within the next two weeks. and a lot is happening for us in the next two weeks, but nothing that can't be rescheduled. At least we have a bit of notice which is more than most. I hated the thought that she is suffering, but the nurse said no, not really. Her body is just very slowly stopping and it isn't a struggle for her. That is a bit of comfort.

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL, Lisa. :sad1: We will be praying for her and for your family. :grouphug:

Thanks Tracy, we do appreciate the prayers. While this is expected, it is still hard I am finding.

Exercise today: 39 minutes strength training with the WII Fit.

Soccer was an early game today so I am moving my long walk to tomorrow. I had been told that score is not kept for this age group, but the reef was keeping score. :confused3 DD's team won and she scored the last goal. There is one boy on her team who is a scoring machine and the coach finally put him at the back part of the field and told him not to cross the center line unless he actually got the ball over there. :rotfl: You should have seen the frustration on his face. He couldn't take it and a couple times did end up across the line and scoring. The coach wanted to sub him, but you can't in this age group unless someone is hurt. So the coach had to tell him to stand at the goal and not move. The last play he passed to DD at mid field and she scored. We were very proud of both of them. Of course a 7yr old boy was not happy about a girl making his goal.:rotfl2:

DS is at a swim meet today and DH has gone to watch him swim.

Rainy here today so I plan to just work inside. I was going to do a yard sale the first weekend of October, but with the uncertainty I have moved it to November. Not sure about doing a yard sale in November, but I have always found around here that yard sales only do well the first weekend of the month. I usually only do one day, but may do Friday also as the Fall Fest in town is that same weekend. So I may get people on Friday who will be going to the Fest on Saturday. Keeping my fingers crossed as this is our spending money for Disney when we go at Thanksgiving.

Everyone have a great day.:flower3:

Exercise today: I think about 8 miles. I have hard time keeping track when I walk with E. I did 1.25 mile before she arrived and 2 miles after she left. I was out there for a total of 2 hours and 26 minutes. Stopped to tie shoes again, stopped to get glasses out of car, stopped to get Ipod when E left and stopped a few times for drink of water. So I didn't actually "walk" that long. I do know that the last mile was 15 minutes.

DS did good at the swim meet yesterday. He saw the 100 Free and 100 Breast. He cut seconds off of both. So it was a good day for him.

DH is off to golf, so I am hoping for a quiet few hours. (Football will be on later.) I'm tired.

I am so very frustrated. I ended up in bed for about 7 hours today. but I do know exactly what caused it. The track I walked at today has lots of bushes and weeds growing right by on side of the track. and I was on that side and kept getting up next to them. We were out early (I started at 6:09am) but as soon as the sun was up good, about 8:00am, I could start smelling them. I didn't give it much thought. Went home, took a shower, and the sinuses started. Today was a bad day. Thankfully DD is up old enough now that she just needs supervision and not constant watch. I will not be walking at that track again any time soon. I like switching up where I walked as I think I get better work outs that way, but this track is off my list until we have had a couple good freezes to kill all of that bad stuff out there. The track I use the most doesn't have bushes around it, only trees and so far, I haven't had a problem there, even with the train going by.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

 Lisa,

I hope you're feeling better today. :wizard:

You're doing a great job getting your walks in! Keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Any news on your MIL? We're praying....:grouphug:

I hope you have a good day!

Thanks Tracy, yes I am feeling better today. Between the ragweeds and stress I was down a bit, but I have worked it out.

MIL update: Doctor said this morning within 48 hours. We are starting to rearrange things and looking at flights. Had DS pulled from the relay team for the swim meet this Saturday, will tell DD's soccer coach tomorrow, delivered baby gift for shower Saturday, made arrangement to clean dance studio Wednesday instead of Sunday and I have to go out at lunch time tomorrow to buy DD a new winter dress coat. I'm sure I will think of other stuff tomorrow.

Exercise: I did 30 minutes strenght training tonight.

Lisa, I am so sorry about your mil. I think no matter how expected these things are, its never easy and always hits hard. Please know you are in my prayers along with the rest of the family.

I am glad your Gram got to have fun watching the kids do the Wii thing, I hope you get to use it soon too!

Hang in there and again, I am so sorry your family is dealing with this. God bless!

Thanks Amy.
On top of everything DD was running a fever last night. :confused3 Absolutely no idea why. She said she was feeling fine. But she was very restless during the night so finally at 3:00am I got up to give her some tylenol, which she hates. That process took 30 minutes. I had to tell her about the pending trip to NY to get her to take it. Finally got her back to bed and I told her I would stay home, which I can little afford. Fever is gone this morning, but she does have a bit of a cough. Perhaps from playing soccer in the rain Saturday? I don't know.

So, I guess I will be home today taking care of stuff while she watches TV in bed. :happytv:

I'm sorry you're DD is not feeling well. Sending some get well :wizard::wizard: her way.

I am so sorry to hear about your MIL, Lisa. We are keeping your family in our prayers.:grouphug:

Try and take it easy today, my friend.

Lisa, I am so sorry dd is sick, I hope she is feeling better. You guys are all in my prayers. Keep us posted and hang in there.

I hope you had a quiet day and got some stuff done in preparation for the trip. Sometimes a sick day does have some advantages!

Amy, you are so right about a sick day having its advantages. I was able to take care of everything I wanted to. DD felt fine during the day, so we did run a couple errands. Yesterday evening....fever came back. Not high though, just 100.6, but enough that I gave her more tylenol and kept her home again today. DH has the shift today. Interesting enough. The fever was gone by the time I went to bed. :confused3 She did wake up before I left this morning and said her throat hurt. Plus she had a slight cough. Sinus drainage? We did have a cool front come through. (low 60s this morning, I had to wear a jacket:thumbsup2) Not taking any chances though.

Exercise yesterday: 4.5 miles in 62 minutes. It was very nice out yesterday evening, I barely started to "glow" by the time I was done. No humidity at all.:woohoo:

Lisa, that sounds sort of similar to what my dd had two weeks ago. I had to keep her home for a couple of days and it was the same sort of thing. She'd be feeling better, then at night her fever would come back. She never felt horrible but they say you can't send them with a fever so what can you do?

Still keeping you guys in my prayers and glad that at least you got things tied up and situation at home before you have to leave.

Hang in there and good job with the exercise!

Well, DD has strep and can't go back to school until Friday. DH can work from home, so he has decided to stay home with her, which is good for me since I have no leave to speak of. Good for him cause he is having a hard time concentrating and actually can do better at home with out a lot of interruptions.

Only exercise last night was cleaning the dance studio. Took me almost three hours and I didn't get done. The lady who cleaned before did a very poor job.

DS had a good swim meet last night. There were three teams competing and our boys team came in first overall. A first!

My inlaws have been married 60 years today. Can you imagine?

Sending some get well :wizard::wizard: for your DD. I hope she is feeling better soon!:goodvibes

Congrats to your in laws on 60 years of marriage! That is amazing!::yes:: How is your MIL doing? We're praying for you all!:grouphug:

Thanks Tracy

DD is better and went back to school today. She was also chosen as Student of the Month for her class.

MIL is at the point that we are going up North tomorrow. DSIL needs a break and DH is going crazy waiting. I have washed clothes and packed like crazy to get everything ready. We have to leave the house by 4:30am to make our 7:00am flight.

Thanks for the prayers.

Congrats to your DD on being chosen as Student of the Month!:dance3:

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. :sad1: Praying for you all!:grouphug:
