Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Thanks Tracy. I do feel much better this evening. Just one of those things I have to deal with. I even went walking this evening. Very over cast and a nice breeze, so it was easy to be out this evening. Did rather well and then came home and took Roo out. I have been neglecting her.

Yes, my Disney call went well. I was disappointed in the time I had for our TREX dinner, so I learned you can call the restaurant directly for ressies. Got the time I wanted:banana: I just don't like eating "dinner" in the middle of the afternoon. Messes me up. Plus we are going to have a 4yr old with us, who definitly needs her naps.

Food for today:
Breakfast/lunch - cereal
Snack - bagel
Evening snack - cottage cheese w/peaches and a couple Ritz crackers.

Never can eat much for a day or so after I have been sick.

I'm glad that you're feeling better, Lisa! Great job getting that walk in yesterday. :cheer2:

Have a nice evening! :)

Thanks Tracy, today was much better and very busy at work. I had two days to make up for. Got a lot done and only have two more days to work this week.:cool1: I move my non work day around to best fit when I need to be off and what works best for work. I have a really cool supervisor that way, plus I have an "in" with the timekeeper.:rotfl2: (that's me)

No exercise today unless you count the number of times I walked through the building and I lost track on that.
Food for today:
Breakfast - oatmeal
Snack - breakfast bar (I worked really hard this morning)
Lunch - Chicken salad wrap
Snack - one piece of kit kat bar
Dinner - spagetti
Snack - pudding cup

Hope everyone has a great evening.

Lisa, so sorry you weren't feeling well, but glad you are better! And excellent job walking so soon after you were sick. Dedication at its finest!:thumbsup2

So you liked the Wii thing? I have toyed with getting one, I need to find somebody that has one so I can try before I buy!

I am sure Roo understands and doens't feel too neglected!

Keep up the good work and glad you got your T Rex thing straightened out.

Thanks Amy. Yes, I really liked the WII, but I would suggest trying it out first. I had too.
sorry I didn't post yesterday. Laptop is acting up and I could read threads, but when I would try to post, it just sat there. I think oldest DS has been on it again.

Yesterday DH had bowling, DS had a swim meet and DD had soccer practice. I walked duirng soccer practice, then we went by a friend's house to say happy b-day and then home. I had baking to do for a bake sale today. I made 3 cakes, 2 batches of brownies and this morning, 1 batch of blueberry muffins. I love to bake. I was up late last night baking, so I am kind of tired today. Glad tomorrow is an off day. Four day weekend!:woohoo:

Today is kind of slow, but I am sure at about 2:30 when they all realized it is about to be a long weekend, everyone is going to start needing something. :faint:

Right now, my budget for Disney is looking good. I am not going to make what I thought in a couple areas, but I think I will be able to make up for it in others. I have seperated out my change jar (actually a piggy bank) and now have four banks. One for each type of coin. I don't cash in very often, usually right before a trip, but when I went to move the pig to dust, it was very heavy. I don't always cash in the pennies as they take so long to roll. DD is learning to count coins at school, so I let her help me.

Plan to walk tonight, but I don't know for how long yet. I can't remember if DH starts his second bowling league tonight or next week. I'll have to give him a call later. Once this second league starts up, he will be busy three nights a week, which I will have to figure a new walking schedule.

Hope everyone has a great day.:flower3:

Got any baked goods you can send my way? :flower3: Everything you baked for the bake sale sounds so yummy!:goodvibes

I'm glad that your Disney budget is working out!:thumbsup2 Sending lots of :wizard::wizard: your way for some extra Disney money to come your way soon!:goodvibes

Were you able to get a walk in last night? I tried, but I was too tired when I got home. Maybe I can get one in tonight.

Have a great day, Lisa!

Sorry they sold everything. We made $484. It is to raise funds for the Navy Ball in October.
I'll send you some cookies at Christmas. I bake lots of cookies at Christmas. And many other things. I  to bake.

I did walk last night. Only 4 miles. I was kind of off.
Made airline reservations for the trip/marathon in January. :cool1: Didn't get the times I wanted though and I am really bummed about it. :sad2: I know I shouldn't be, "Hey, I'm going to Disney:woohoo:", but my thing is, I have a limited amount of time to be there, so I want to get there ASAP and stay until the last possible minute. Didn't work out that way though. Oh well, there is always 2011.

Today was my off day, which was a good thing. I wouldn't have been fit for work. Paid bills, ran errands, etc. This evening I took DD to the beach for her annual beach pictures. White dress, straw hat and I take them myself and do color and black & white.

Looking forward to having another 3 days off. Hope everyone has a great evening.

Got my walk in this morning and did 7.5 miles. :woohoo: Not the best on time, but I made my weekly distance goal. Felt kind of stiff and tight this morning, but I pushed on. The weather was great this morning. Rather overcast, but high clouds, slight breeze and low humidity. Great walking weather. What I find interesting is now that I have rested for a couple hours, I feel that I could walk some more.

I have figured out my new walking scheduled and actually it isn't changing too much. I will walk at the soccer field on Monday and Wednesday while DD has practice. Do long walks at the walking tracks on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. and short walk at track on Thursdays.

I just have to figure out when to add in Roo's walks. I'm thinking Sunday, Monday and Wednesdays for her walks. Fridays will be my one day off a week.

I am seriously considering getting the WII Fit to have for days when the weather is bad and I can't go out.

Great job getting those walks in, Lisa!:cheer2: That's great that you have your new walking schedule in place as well. :thumbsup2

I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks Tracy. I really appreciate the encouragement.

Spent the afternoon running more errands. Went to the dance studio and got DD her dance shoes. Then we went to Academy to buy a new leotard and had to get a new dance bag also. Then it was to Target to buy Chloee a bday present. Oh how DD agonized over what to buy. She couldn't make a decision so we went to ToysRUs and finally picked something out. Had to be just right. Tonight DS is at his first High School Dance (homecoming). I know, very early for home coming and on Labor Day weekend. Doesn't make much sense to me. Wouldn't let me take a picture before he left. I did tell him that we would be there 15 minutes before the dance ended to get him and he asked why do I torture him so. :rotfl: "One of the perks of being a parent" was my reply.:thumbsup2

Now we are watching various football games and listening to it rain. Rather exciting evening we have here. I am tired a little this evening and feeling a couple muscles, but all in all I feel rather good after my walk this morning.

Hi Lisa, great job getting those walks in and coming up with a schedule. I think its always good to have some sort of backup in place for when you can't walk outside.

I love to bake too!

I am lucky, my bank has one of those auto things where you just dump the change in and then they give me the cash. And its free, unlike the one at my grocery story that takes like 10% to do that. I hate rolling coins!

I hope you are having a great weekend and that ds enjoyed his first dance. That is strange its so early and on a holiday weekend but I think its great he went. Would love to see the pictures of your dd on the beach.

How close to the beach are you?

Have a super rest of the weekend and keep on a walkin!!:cool1:

Thanks Ladies.
We are having a quiet day also. Just doing stuff around here and letting the kids just hang out and do whatever.
DS said he enjoyed the dance, but we need to work on his dating skills. When he gave me change I realized it was too much for him to have paid for his date also. Here is the response when I questioned him: "Well, she was like an hour late. What was I suppose to do? Wait by the door for her until she go there?:headache: YES!

We live about 45 minutes from the beach. The beach itself is nice, there is lots of it, but the water, not so much. I try to limit the amount of time DD spends in it.
First the pics she wanted. Going through her modeling phase I guess. We need to work on coordinating colors though.

Then the "real" pictures.

Ignore the date on them. I didn't realize I had the date stamp on and I need to reset it.
This is just a few of what I took. I took many, many more, and also black and white. Now I have to find somewheres to get them developed. My CVS doesn't do send out anymore and they can't develop b&w in the store.

Hello everyone and Happy Labor Day!

No exercise yesterday. Dinner took to long and then after Gram left it was raining too hard for me to safely go out.

Today we all slept late, unheard of in my house. I did grocery shopping and was actually able to finish at Walmart this week. and had a really good cashier who was happy to do comps, use my reusable bags and didn't mind my coupons. :goodvibes I am happy to say that I did not come home with a single plastic shopping bag. :cool1:

E and I did 5 miles tonight. All four kids stayed with my DH while we went to the track in my neighborhood. It has a couple of good hills in it, so we got a good workout. E wanted to stop after 4, but I convinced her to keep trying. I am very happy we made 5 and we both felt good afterwards.

Back to work and school tomorrow. It has been a nice long weekend. :upsidedow

Great pictures, Lisa!:thumbsup2 Does your DD do any modeling? princess:

Great job getting your 5 miles in! You are gonna do a great job in January!:cheer2:

Hope you had a great Tuesday!

Thanks Tracy. My DD would be the most tempermental models ever. and she is incredibly shy with strangers. (which is a good thing)

Got another five miles in tonight at 14.25 minutes per mile. I am very happy with that. Much better than the 17 minute miles we did last night.

I am kind of tired tonight, so I am going to get ready for bed now. I will catch up with everyone in the morning.

Lisa, your daughter is beautiful! I love the pictures.

I hear you on the dating 101 thing, I need to work on that with ds too. ;)

That is great you got in that walking tonight, I wish your motivation would come out west and find me!

Thank you Amy for the compliment.

I forgot to add that I weighed and measured yesterday and lost 1 pound and 1/2 inch on hips.

I have been doing some reading on others training programs and am wondering if I need to add some strength training in also. DS has a weight bench and I think I might give it a try. If there are weights small enough for my to use that is.:rotfl:

I did go to bed earlier than usual last night, but am still tired this morning. But as they say, no pain, no gain (or loss):thumbsup2

Way to go on the pounds and inches lost!!!!:cheer2:

Adding some strength training to your schedule may be a good idea. You may want to ask the other marathoners what they do.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Great suggestion Tracy, thanks. I have browsed through the events threads a bit, but feel a little intimidated over there. I'll go back this weekend a poke around a bit more.

Walked last night at the soccer field. Problem is only have the way around the fields is on sidewalk and the other half is grass. It's hard walking through/on grass when you are use to pavement. We trugged on though and I did 50 minutes. No clue as to how far though. E walked with me some. I'd say she did about 30-35 minutes.

I was tired but after DD got in bed, I got busy doing stuff and the next thing I knew it was after 11:00pm. Another night with only 4.5 hours sleep. I am tired today.

Tonight I won't be able to walk as I have an appointment after work and not sure when I will get home. I guess if it isn't too late and DH has had DD do her homework, then we might go to the track for a while. or this might be a good night to try out the weight bench, at least to figure out how to use it.

I had a nice phone call last night. I had written Disney to question why when you make a reservation at CRT on line, your CC is automatically charged, instead of just used as a guarrantee. Well, I had actually called first and the CM said it was a glitch and they were aware of it. I did kindly mention that with the magnitude of Disney that surely their IT department could fix this "glitch". A very nice lady named Emily called and offered to refund my card and put a hold on it as it should have been originally. Seems those in the executive office have computer privileges that the regular department CMs don't. She was very nice and helpful and took care of my problem and issued a refund and I still have my ADR right when I wanted it.:cloud9: I thanked her profusely and she said while they can't always fix every problem that guests have, they certainly try. You know, they didn't have to do that. They could have just made me wait until I got to CRT and used my dining plan credits and issued the refund then. This is yet another reason why I love Disney.
