Off to do some whitewater rafting!It is supposed to be 90 degrees today- couldn't have picked a better one!

I did 10 yesterday with a 9:58 pace and was really happy with that. Maybe I will see you from behind at Hollis!!! :thumbsup2

Your run times are absolutely amazing. I am in awe of you, woman. There is NO WAY that the mother of a high school freshman should be able to run that fast!!:lmao: Seriously, you are doing SO GREAT. I can't wait to hear all about Applefest.

3.1 in 9:37,a 9:33 pace.It takes me so long to get warmed up when doing 3.1 that by the time I get a groove going I am at the end.Even though I stretch I am very stiff at first.

Anyone have a way to really warm up for a 5k?

Warm up for a 5K race?

I run 3-4 miles first. Then do about 4 to 6, 20-30 second strides that get up to race pace. I try to finish this about 20 minutes before the race.
 
Wow, Linda, you are super speedy. Have you come up with a good warm-up routine yet? I hope things are going the way you want them to go with training - I am sure you will do great at Applefest, but I know from talking with Stacie that very few people are as prepared as they want to be when they go into an event. Keep going - you ROCK!!

Hi, Linda. Wow, you just keep doing those consistently great times. When is Applefest? It's coming up soon, right? You are SO going to rock at that. I want to see pictures!

I hope that now that school has started and things are back to a somewhat "normal" schedule for everyone, you have settled into the groove of your exercise routine - I remember you saying that summer was difficult for you because of the heat and also everyone not journaling as much during the summer. You are doing AWESOME - keep going!
