Ah, yes, ceviche! That sounds nasty to me, but hey, to each his own. I think maybe that's something that starts to taste ok, around beer #5?? :confused3

OK MISS RAW SUSHI GIRL!!!!!!! :worship:

I actually ate ceviche a few weeks ago over a friends house. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first but it did grow on me to the point that I actually was liking it. Come to think of it though, there was quite a bit of drinking going on... maybe that had something to do with it. :lmao::lmao:

I, again, have NO idea......Boatwrights?

As a restaurant manager....seafood is a cramp waiting to happen.....it must be fresh, fresh, fresh....

Think in terms of the trip as a whole, and let it spin around in your head a while. You'll get it.

Fresh this was not. Think bagged, frozen, and who knows how many times thawed and re-frozen.

This took sushi to new and not-so-exciting heights.

I have no doubt that imbibing "enhanced" its flavor. ;)

Oh no on the shrimp!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope DS surrvives his plane trip.

And Maroo, yikes on the water. What a nightmare! I hope they get it resolved soon and you can go somewhere with water in the meantime.

Sure, just check out that there fancy new ticker I got! ;)

WOOT!!!!!!!!!! Just in time for a 2nd trimester celebration!

WOOT!!!!!!!!!! Just in time for a 2nd trimester celebration!

He DID!! I just got a phone call, and his local friend was there to pick him up. It's always a little dicey on the pick up end, as he doesn't know really how to get home by bus by himself. So, I'm always relieved to know he's safe at home. He mismanaged his time over break and still has 1/2 of Pride and Prejudice to read and do some essays on. :scared1:

A 2nd trimester trip will be so great for TK! It's the best trimester as far as energy goes, and her appetite will be back just in time to enjoy all that food. :woohoo:

I feel bad for the person what sat by your son in the plane....

That is one funny story! Reminds me of the time I forgot to boil the eggs for easter....it wasn't pretty.

Out catching worms, Early Bird??

Usually it's the other way around. My son cringes when a BO-infested, "large" guy sits next to him. If the vodka fumes don't kill you, the lack of hygiene might. Deodorant is not high up on the "first-thing-in-the-morning-priority-list" around here. Summer can be brutal!

Or the time, we found one behind the couch in July...:scared1:

Yikes! :scared1: That's one preparation step you don't want to forget.

Glad to hear it all worked out in the end, so to speak, and that your son made it to his destination okay.

OH, gosh. I'm glad you're okay.

I actually happen to love sushi, but it's a big no no when you're pregnant.

Alas. :lmao:

And Maroo, I didn't realize the December report had started. I'm headed on over!

Thanks for the clue in on the guessing game! I will have to work very hard on this part. I think I have abandoned all hope in going back to read what I missed on threads. I can barely keep up with the current dialogue! So I may ask questions from time to time. I hereby officially withdraw my points dispute.

Glad DS and you are okay!

Was it the ice storm that happened just before you left?? What's up??!!

And for the record, I still think this trip won't move more than a couple weeks in either direction. At some point DH will have to let me go "visit my family". ;)

Well...the "ice storm" never happened. It rained...hard...here. And we are very thankful we did not have an ice storm!

The pipes are broken because it has gotten down in the single digits and teens for days on end...Our average temperature so far this year has been 29 degrees!! And that is not our average LOW - our average temperature for the whole day. :sad2:

So pipes all over are frozen. They are bursting in the city and they are digging up the city streets to fix them. The water pressure is low and in some places there is no water.

Today lots of schools are closed (including one whole district), the restaurants are mostly closed, we have no water in my office OR my house, all goverment offices are closed. Pretty strange. They say this is the worst water crisis in 20 years...and that includes Katrina.

so....wondering if we might have our trip to coincide with the Wine and Dine half marathon? It would be cool to go to that party...:rolleyes1 Just sayin'. :)

I am staying at Lauren's tonight! :thumbsup2

I'd say! Strange indeed! I hope the ground is thawed enough to even dig!

It'd be fun to go, but participating is a whole nuther story, my friend!! The Wine and Dine part, yet, running?? Ain't gonna happen...

Have fun at Lauren's! Tell her hi.

That's for sure!

Me too!! Nothing worse than being sick in the air- I know all about that too! There's no where to go for help at 35,000 ft.

I do too! But not shrimp (raw). Tuna? Bring it ON!

Yes, you will!!! Study hard, and don't miss any clues!

Questions are entirely OK!!! We love re-talking about all our shenanigans.

I will tell her hello! :)

You would not have to participate! :) Maybe cheer me on? :rolleyes1 Maybe.

But there is a PARTY...at the end...for all of the walkers/runners and their friends. :thumbsup2

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!!!! :woohoo::yay::dance3:

Umm... I vote for going during Wine and Dine, simply for the selfish reason that I'd love to meet you guys! :)

Hmmmm... I really need to mull this over, and see how this might pan out in the big picture of things. This is really growing on me. ;)

:teeth::teeth::teeth::teeth:

And...if the dates are flexible...

I would rather do the race at the beginning of the trip...rather than the end...so my feet can handle it! :upsidedow

Oh....and we could.........do a relay... if someone in our little group is up for doing 5 miles (and I will do the 8 mile portion)......:rolleyes1

Anyone can do 5 miles...............

http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/events/eventDetail/detail?name=HalfMarathonDetailPage&pid=pip-0-1

And BOTH walkers/runners get a medal.

Just sayin'

AND...(I keep adding to this post....)....

One of the "host" hotels is the Poly. AND...you get cheaper Theme Park Tickets. For your whole stay.
