Liesa, loving the retro reporting - dig up some pics if you can! I've always wanted to go to the Fort. I thought it would be perfect for our upcoming trip with my folks - there'd be 6 of us so I thought of a cabin. My parents weren't too hip on having 1 bathroom for 6 people. Yeah, maybe not. I'm at least going to try to get us over there for Hoop-de-doo.

I need your dad's address so I can send him a Disney Princess card.:thumbsup2

They can eat onions- and anything else you happened to throw at them. Remember when we really did axe the turkey?? I wonder if the Petting Zoo folks had themselves and exotic sort of Thanksgiving one day... :lmao:

I do remember, and what a site! Dad forgot to shapren his axe :scared1: So he had to axe it two or thre times instead of just once.

No prob. By the power of Google I give thee: MINNIE MOO!

Thanks!

Thanks, GB! I owe you one!

I've heard the cabin are really nice. But that is the one complaint. Although, none of the other mods have more than one bathroom either. Sooooooooooo... at least do try to spend a couple of hours here. Did you know that the stable for all the Disney horses are here?? You can see all the ones they use in parades, trolleys, carriage rides, etc.... here. The CMs are super friendly and will spend time telling you about them. Totallly worth it, and just around the corner from where the Hoop is.

Pix pretty please!!!!

I so wish I could. But alas, I am here, my pictures are not. We've stored all of our stuff- incl. a bunch of antique furniture in our garage back in Portland. :scared1: I almost frightened to know what we're coming home to.

He'd so laugh!! Just the other day he told me that he wanted to play a joke on my mom. She was gone for a week, and he said he wanted to borrow a pair of my sister's underwear and find some long black hair and stash it all in the bed. If you knew you them, you be on the floor howling right now!! My mom wouldn't fall for that in about a million years, which makes it even more hilarious.

I do remember, and what a sight! Dad forgot to shapren his axe :scared1: So he had to axe it two or thre times instead of just once.

I'm pretty sure it was more like 4 or 5... He says he's pretty sure he lost his salvation that day.

Hey Rebecca!

Feel free to check out my TR to see how 6 fit in a cabin....complete with Cabin pics!

How EMH saved our trip

REALLY depends on the makeup of the 6

It is the best option and value, IMHO, without going deluxe for a family of 6. You could do 2 rooms at a value I think for about the same but no kitchen, no deck. For us it worked. Of course it worked b/c it was a buy 4 get 3 but hey...whatever works!

If you are not a camper or into the outdoors and some in your party are "hotel/resort" type folks, it is not the place. If you like to camp and love the outdoors...it is perfect. Especially perfect if you need to let lazy teens sleep in and not feel trapped in a small room!

Haha yep I'm up. My final isn't until 5 pm tomorrow and then I'm D-O-N-E! :woohoo: I just got done watching 'Bride Wars' on one of our movie channels.

DONE will be a very good feeling!! I remember it very well!

What are you plans after that?? Do you have a job lined up?

By the way, I was thinking of starting up Rations Drop again, now that we have our plans more firmed up!! What do you think? Should I finish up this Retro Report first or just start and mix it all up??

I liked your retro story Liesa! Sometimes I have a little trouble backing up the boat... its about 30ft long on the trailer. You dad must of had a lot of fun backing up that 42 footer!!! LOLOL :lmao:

I'll be starting my Master's Degree in January. Still at the same school. I'm doing Counselor Education and I eventually want to become an academic advisor at a college (hopefully somewhere back home).

Hm..Maybe you should finish this Retro Report first and then start Rations Drop again...but it's up to you! It's your PTR! :)

I still have about 5 chapters to go. But it takes about an hour to write each one, then I do them on Word (I've lost WAYYY too many posts with misplaced finger strokes), then post. Getting one out every 3 days or so, is all I can muster. But I could start up the game again, to fill in. ADRs aren't until March, so I'll have to find something to do until then. I have some ideas, but I could hold off on the game until Jan. - which isn't that far away now. I can't believe how fast the months are flying by.

ok, we'll start that up soon- maybe even tomorrow.

But first, I had to share these!

I finally am VERY close to finishing the top of my Christmas-y quilt, and wanted to give you a peeky!

Only the last (TOP) border needs to be added, then I'll give it a quckie tie job, and it'll be ready for my important guests, arriving on the 3rd (my son's girlfriend and mother )

I also wanted to share one of my student's work that she finished on Saturday- only 2 ladies left, then I"ll be free from Saturday quilting for a spell. I need a break!

Lastly, I had the funniest e-mail today!!! Remember LeeAnn (aka ThePreachersWife- who NEVER gets on here anymore?) Well, I sent her a copy of our latest, most greatest spreadsheet of our itinerary with parks, times, hoped-for ADRs, EMHs, all that good stuff, and here was her reply...

Liesa:

Honestly anything is fine with me....but I don't even understand the chart....I was laughing at all the abbreviations. I can read the most complicated 300 million dollar spreadsheet from the schoold district but I don't understand our trip itinerary?!?!?! You are way too disney smart for me:)

LeeAnn

Isn't that a hoot??!!

I know she's going to love it, but bringing her along the planning ride just ain't happenin'.

Liesa, what a beautiful quilt!

And that's too funny about LeeAnn. I love it! :lmao:

Your quilts are gorgeous!!! Sewing is an art that I am NOT skilled in. I can't even hem pants, so quilting seems like genius to me.

LeeAnn is too cute. She reminds me of Courtney (my friend who I'm taking for her birthday). Everytime I start talking to my other friend, she starts fussing, "Enough with the abbreviations already!"
