Length of Time to Get Confirmation Email on Southwest???

I just got a great Ding! fare on an existing flight we had booked for April. I cancelled the old flight and used the TT funds for the new Ding fares. I put my correct email in. I did all this about 3 hours ago.

I still haven't received my confirmation emails.

I called them and they found my new reservation and said they sent additional confirmation emails. Still haven't gotten those either.

Can't look it up using RR # because the card is in my desk at work and I was going to add it to the reservation tomorrow once I got the confirmation #.

So is this unusual?? Usually automatic emails like that show up almost instantly for me.

Yes, I checked junk email and Spam Fryer files.

It is unusual as it is usually immediate.

Why cant you just use the reservation number and pull up reservation that way? You had to have it to book the res- you know 6BY0PX or something like that. Quick and easy way to confirm it.

Last couple of times I used ding I made a copy of the confirmation page for such a problem. Pehaps you couldn't where you were but if you can it is a good idea.

I have the old confirmation #, not the new one.

I tried plugging that in and all it shows me is the credit I have left.

I'll wait till tomorrow and if no emails I'll call them again and have them send it to my work email.

I always got my SWA emails immediately after booking......my last two bookings (in the last 6 weeks) each took over 5 hours to come. Not sure why the change, but they did come!

They did show up this morning. So now I can add our RR# to the booking

I did have this happen once also, and I was really freaked, because I had not printed out the page with the confirmation number, or written it down. SWA was great in helping me find it. I called them 2-3 times in one night asking them to e-mail it. For some reason, the next day, suddenly there were four e-mails all confirming that same flight. Contrary to popular belief, computers and e-mail is not an exact science
