I am planning a family trip to Disneyland, & my sister wants to bring her kids to legoland after seeing it on Jon & Kate plus 8. Her kids are going to be 7, 4, & 1 when there. My DD will be 3 & DN will be 12. I have 2 questions will the 12 year old like it & is it worth the money?

:thanks:

I think it depends on the child. We took our two sons back in 2005 and they absolutely loved it. They were 5 and 8 at the time. The rides are great for that age group. Legoland is geared for the 3 to 9 age group. We are returning again in Feb 2009 because they wanted to go back. This will be our last time to go though. My oldest will be too old for it before we get the chance to return. Is it worth the money - definitely, but if the 12 year old is a thrill seeking/roller coaster riding kid, then no Legoland is not the theme park for them. It is a very unique park.

My son loves legoland (more then DL). I think it is worth every penny, although I wish the hours were longer. There is so much to do and see and especially now with the aquarium next door. We could easily spend 2 days and not be bored.

Depends on the 12 year old. I can remember going through a too cool for Disney or Legos phase. Got over a few years later.

Definitely worth the money considering the ages of the kids, especially the 3 and 4 year olds. It's just perfect for them, they get to enjoy all the excitement of a theme park but one where everything is at their height, the lines and crowds are not overwhelming, and the park is colorful and clean.

My kids love Legoland, they always say it's the best part of the trip to CA (equal to Disney and at times more so). The earliest they've been was at age 1 and the oldest was 10. The boys in particular loved doing Mindstorms and all the Bionicles stuff.

When we visited Legoland our DS's were 4 and 9; my 4 year old loved it; my 9 year old was bored out of his mind and couldn't wait to leave; but he is a thrill seeker type of amusement park person; nothing thrilling at all about the rides; i guess it depends on the kiddo

We just got back and my son 11 loved it. He's definately a roller coaster thrillseeker, but he's also kind of geeky and just loved Miniland and checking out all of the lego sculptures.

If your child likes legos, this park can definately be more than just about the rides.
