Not such a cheery one here-DSIL outlook is pretty grim even if they caught it early enough-the 5yr survival rate is less than 50%-man this is going to be a tough next few weeks -she goes for Surgery on the 15th and can use any extra prayers you can offer

My nephew came home yesterday
one week shy of 3 weeks in the hospital

Great news for the little guy-I bet he's so happy right about now!!!!

Thanks everyone for keeping DSIL in your prayers/thoughts-we just got a call last night and my other SIL(who's a nurse too) let us know the news that it was going to be a fight for her(their sister) life and that the odds were against her -Oh and the SIL with the cancer-she's a nurse too

like Kelli said we'll just have to keep the prayers going that after surgery the prognosis will be better than expected

Well our birdie was so cute last night!!!! We're trying to train him,and it takes a lot of work-so we kept his cage open on our table and I placed a shallow dish of water out for him

so after about 20 minutes of peaking around the little guy finally climbed out onto his ladder and walked over to the water and drank like he hadn't had any water in days!!!

they said he would drink from the water dish on the side of the new cage with no problem,but I've never seen him do it-so now I know he hadn't-poor little guy

then he walked right back up his ladder and into his cage all happy!!!

Oh and guess what DH did yesterday....



he was playing BasketBall with the guys at the Y around lunch time and after getting hit hard in the hand with the ball he looked down at his hand and noticed his pinky finger bent straight up at the lower knuckle-he said that doesn't look right!!!!!

guess he dislocated it-there's a MD on the team and he said it felt fine just looks like he did a lot of liagament damage-Now it's all swollen like a sausage-Black and Blue too-good thing it's only his pinky and with this job it will be OK-good news since I haven't even picked out doctors for us yet
