Ok, so this morning, my DS8 tells me he needs $5. I ask him what he needs this money for, and he says for the school store, he needs some new pencils. Well, of course, I'm left wondering what happened to the two thousand pencils we purchased at the beginning of the school year.

I tell him that I don't have $5, all I have is a twenty dollar bill. And I don't want to send him to school with that. Well, he whines a little, begs a little, explains how much he really needs a new pencil.

I'm a sucker, so I send him to school with the twenty bucks and strict instructions that he is not to spend more than the $5 he originally asked for, to bring me home my change.

He just got home from school. He tells me that he got a new lead pencil and an eraser from the school store. He pulls them out and shows them to me. Ok, fine. And then he tells me that he gave a few dollars to "Pennies for Patients" some project his class is doing for hospital patients. He also explained (in great detail) that you don't just have to give pennies, you can actually give dollars also. So I let him tell me all about it, since he was on :cloud9: and feeling so good about himself.

Oh, and he had to spend $10 on lunch, he tells me. At that point, my eyes bug out of my head as I ask him what he could have possibly eaten that would cause him to spend $10 in the school cafeteria. It seems as though he owes money on his lunch account and has been neglecting to tell me (like always). Ok, fine.

And then he pulls out two pairs of earrings that he bought from his 13 year old cousin on the bus. She likes to make crafty things and convinced him that his mommy would love the earrings and that she was giving him a really good deal by selling them to him -- 2 pair for $4.

He immediately made me put them on. I'm currently wearing a pair of earrings that he bought for me, even though I'm dying to take them out, because I just know that they're going to make my ears fall off. But he's so proud of himself for thinking of me and getting me a present that I can't bear to hurt his feelings by taking them off. Now I'm left wondering when was my last tetenis shot?

So he empties out his pocket, and he has 5 quarters and a dime. He asks me if I'm mad at him for spending all my money. I gave him a hug and told him, "No, honey, I already knew you wouldn't bring me any money. Your father has taught you well."

I'd be torn between wanting to beat him and hug him.

Morning LOSERS!!

Well TODAY is the day. My 20 week sonogram!!! Will it be a boy or a girl? Unfortunately I have the last appointment with sono lady of the day at 4 so we have to wait all day.

It's also my friend's 30th birthday (young-uns, I swear) so I need to go get a card and see if I can find something suitable to make her wear to lunch and dinner today, I passed on the 30th birthday tiara I had given to me. I also get to check out her new man at dinner tonight. It's a full day, for me anyway.

Hellllloooooo, where waiting here :confused3

When I read that you gave him the $20 I said to myself "There isn't gonna be any change coming back" I have given money to #1DS for the gift shop at school at Christmas time (he brings a list of how much he needs to bring for all the presents he want to get the family) I didn't have the exact amount either and gave him about $5 extra. He ended up buying something for himself with the left over money

I WANT A DRINK!

This has been my last 45 minutes....

Shore that is the sweetest story I ever heard. You wear those earring proudly until you ear starts bleeding:lmao:

DS10 NEVER come home with any change unless I am up there to take it from him, like at Santa's Secret Shop.

Kelly I will PM you. Thanks.

So I like chocolate...that is a given.

I like Skittles...especially the ones in the blue bag.

But chocolate Skittles...not so much. They missed the mark.

I was thinking the same thing....

I know I should trust them, but I never give them more than what I am willing to part with. When they have a book fair, I tell them to pick out their books, have the book fair lady hold them, and I will go in and approve/purchase them. We still end up spending about $25 each, so maybe giving them $20 would be cheaper??? I don't wnat them buying the junk ..(why do they put toys at a book fair?)

He really is a sweet boy. He has talked about those earrings since he's gotten home. Of course, I continuously thank him and tell him how nice they are.

At one point, he says to me, "Mommy, thank you for appreciating the earrings I got for you." Awwwwww!!

And Kaw, I'm sorry to hear about your family. Wasn't it you that started out with a crappy day?

Also, I wanted to ask you guys....is it just me, or is the DIS acting crazy tonight? Nothing is working!! My quick reply button does nothing, so I have to quote someone and then delete what they said just to be able to post. The smiley's aren't working for me at all. So since I don't know the longhand code for very many, I can't really use them.

hey losers,
Well I see we have been busy today. Okay first skittles in chocolate yuck.

Thats For Shore you are lucky he came home with any change. He could have told you he owed more money to the school book store:lmao:

Mk if you need more box tops I am willing to send you some. I save them but I just give them away to anyone who needs them. I have some you are welcome to.
Lintasare I will take two of each of those drinks.
Okay Mali are we having a Mickey or a Minnie?

I can't remember earlier....was I even on here?
oh yeah...I was at work.
