What would you do?

So for weddings at Walt Disney World, pretty much all weddings are catered by the same exact kitchen for everything. Maybe not made in the same place but the chefs are generally the same. The one exception to this is if you book your reception at California Grill. California grill has its own chefs and its own menus and they do not really budge on what can and can't be on the menu unfortunately. The only way for me to serve churro waffles would've been to serve it as a snack at the ceremony at 5AM to which I said my guests are barely going to be awake at that time. They're not going to want to scarf down churro waffles in formal attire right before the ceremony so I said forget it.

The other thing they were picky about was the setting for Mickey. We requested Mickey to be in his Chinese attire given that we're both Asian but they wouldn't budge so we ended up with Mickey in his usual formal attire which was fine but it would've been a nice touch.

My wife and I are such big Disney people I don't think we would've done it any other way. The communication is the worst thing about having a Disney wedding. They're very slow to answer emails and you pretty much don't start any planning at all aside from choosing your date and venues until 6 months out with a lot of it occurring in the last 3 months. It was hectic but it all managed to come together perfectly at the end and you do get a wedding coordinator to help you on the day of to make sure everything goes as planned. Considering we had a wedding in Epcot I actually feel the price we paid was reasonable. If you make/supply a lot of your own things then you can help cut down the cost quite a bit.

If it hadn't been for the photography, it would've been just a little more than the cost of a 150 point contract for 60 people. Back home in California even if we had just done a banquet and done a multi course menu at like an Asian restaurant it's not hard to hit 20k so for the additional amount it's definitely worth it and we got to spend time with our friends and family in the parks. If it hadn't been for my surgery I would've been able to ride roller coasters with them too but I settled for Living with the Land and Frozen and etc. Definitely won't forget the memories made dancing with all of my friends and family with Mickey in California Grill and then watching the fireworks on the beach with them.

Tl;Dr : Absolutely would do again. Also my wife specifically requested veil tosses. We have a lot more of those coming hahah but these are just the sneak peeks.

I would agree the extra premium is worth it, id pay a couple grand just to dance with Mickey at the wedding i was totally going to commission that Cinderella carriage These extra touches just cant be replicated anywhere else. Did you use a Disney photographer? These pics look better than what ive been told Disney photogs can pull off.

This is all Disney photography. The only way to get park photos aside from the day of the wedding is with Disney and that's why we have more shots than just in the Japan pavilion. All the other Epcot photos and MK photos were taken on a different day than the wedding. Fortunately my wife had her close friend do her hair and make up (we reimbursed him through staying in our Grand Villa) for 2 of the days but she had to do it herself for the MK photos.

Mickey was a couple grand for 30 minutes. Thankfully my wife is not a fan of Minnie or else it would've been double the price. They're really efficient with the handler and stuff though because we managed to have every group come up and take photos with us and Mickey and then also do our wedding cake AND dance with him. It felt like we were dancing forever even though it wasn't because the DJ cycled through a song like every minute. I was out of dance moves (not like I have any) long before it was time for Mickey to leave us.
