Ladies, do you wear makeup in the parks?????

Whenever I go on vacation I get my eye lashs tinted before I leave, that way I don't worry about the water rides, or swimming pools. It's not too expensive, doesn't hurt and should last a few weeks. Try it.

I wear make-up everytime I go to WDW (and pretty much anywhere else for that matter ;) ). I don't cake it on but I just put enough to make me feel put together. I don't really sweat and the last three times we've gone it's been under 80 degrees the whole time so I never had to reapply except lfor lipgloss/lipstick and powder

Also, my DFi could care less if I wore a paperbag as my clothes and I shaved my head and never wore make-up again. I wear make-up for me, because I like how it makes me look not that I think I'm not pretty without it.

I too, HAVE to wear makeup, or feel yucky. pirate: I wear a powder base, and just eyeliner and mascara, and a little color on my lips, and then I'm good to go. :cool1: Of course, I don't look in the mirror all day, and I don't let DH take any closeups, and sometimes I'm still plesantly surprised by a picture that needs to be destroyed before seen with human eyes! :earboy2: I live down here, so I've been doing this for awhile!

I wear ALL of the above, AND foundation with an SPF of 15. I don't usually "perspire" and I am usually safe for about 5 hours. After that, its usually worn off, and I am left with eyes made up, and lipstick. :confused3 Unless I wear a hat, that seems to keep my face cool.

My first trip with my DBF, yes, he never saw me without it. Now, 4 trips later, if I even look at mascara I laugh. No make up here. I thought about pictures too, and my DBF said "When you are at Disney you glow. You don't need make up, it would just hide your glow!" (yes, he's a keeper! :cool1: )

So, put my vote for no makeup here

Chris

I wear makeup because I like feeling put together (although it usually sweats off if we're there when it's hot; but we usually go when it's cooler). I wear foundation with SPF, powder (I have oily skin), concealer, mascara and my Kiehl's lip balm with SPF (don't like to advertise but I love it :) ). DH just wishes I would take less time to get ready, but I think by now he's given up and just knows he has to wait for me. :)

After reading an earlier thread about Clinique "Work Out" make-up I went and bought some.

I have very oily skin and it is shiny 5 minutes after I put make-up on, so trying to stay made up at Disney is a huge challenge. I hate to keep piling more powder on top every hour or so!

The first time I wore the work out make-up was two weeks ago. DS and I were in a parade. It was HOT, humid, and my face was sweating relentlessly from my sunglasses. I kept wiping under my eyes so I was just sure all the make-up would be rubbed off. We were standing out in the heat from about 1 PM until after 5 PM. When I got home I still had make-up on! And it was a little shiny, but not as bad as usual!

Yesterday we had a 5K charity event. I was there from 5 AM until almost 6 PM. It wasn't that hot, but it was plenty humid. My sunglasses were off and on over and over all day, I was running around like crazy. Around 12:30 I went to the restroom and again, a little shiny but not horrible, no streaks, good coverage.

This will definitely be the make-up I wear at Disney, with a little powder, a touch of blush, mascara, and sheer lip balm. I am never able to keep lipstick on and after it rubs off it looks weird so I don't think I will even try.

I don't wear makeup anymore - any. I had permanent eyeliner, slight eye shadowing and lip liner and color needled onto my face two years ago. Now I just wear SPF 30 moisturizer - BeautiControl Cell Block-C. (I'm lucky that I've never had to wear foundation or cover up of any kind. Just take good care of my skin.)

While painful during the process, I recommend ALL moms find an esthetician in their area and get the eyes done in the very least. Absolutely NO regrets!!! And what a time savings!!!

When I am in WDW, I usually wear a tinted moisturizer with spf, a little blush, mascara and some spf lip balm during the day, maybe a little extra if we are going out at night. I like to look nice but also be comfortable.

I haven't read anything up until this point but I wear waterproof mascara (my eyelashes are practically blonde) and I wear lipgloss that I bring. I start with some blush in the AM but never reapply. I also bring the tissues that remove oil/sweat off of you. LOVE THEM!! Nothing else - but that is basically what I weat all the time

i'm more the basic, mascara, burts bees tinted lip balm and suncreeen...if we are going to someplace like a resort i take eye make up and put it on for diner so i don't scare little children. i tan easily so usually don't use foundation there.

I generally wear make-up every day, Even in WDW. I have really sensitive skin and I've found that wearing foundation daily helps blockout alot of environmental crap. My face feels alot cleaner with a light application of make-up applied. I have the process down to about 5 minutes, so it's not too big a deal. I also like the photos alot better that way!!!

I would rather DIE than leave the house without Mascarra and that, is that. I also have an issue with dry lips and use either a lip balm or gloss all the time. Base? Not so much anymore. MAYBE a little powder if I really think I need it. My make-up bag is packed for our trip already and I have more glossy lipstick than I can use in the time we are going to be gone. Oh well :)

No. I don't wear make up when I'm at the pool & I don't going to the parks. I just don't like to have it on when my face is going to be in the hot sun for any length of time (we always go in late April/early May). I guess I don't like to sweat with make up on.

Needled!?!? :earseek:

What if you want to change the eye shadow color, or the lip color?!

I didn't read all the posts, so maybe someone already mentioned this -- I treated myself to eyelash tinting at the salon so I won't have black masacara smudges under my eyes this trip. Even waterproof mascara smudges or irritates my eyes, so I am loving have balck lashes! I also got a facial but no noticable improvement in my skin - I will have pretty lashes but can't fix uneven skin tone!

I've found self-tanner gives me a more even skin tone than foundation, so I generally just use self-tanner on my face and neck every 3 days or so. I ALWAYS use SPF 30 Eucerin moisturizer (I live in Florida and have very fair skin).

The other ALWAYS is Burt's Bees lip gloss in Nutmeg or Almay lipgloss in Nude--my lips are very dry and pale and feel tight and raw if I don't use lip gloss on them.

Other than that, if I'm feeling the need to be extra glamorous :earsgirl: , I use eye shadow as eye liner. Once in a blue moon, a little glittery copper bronzer on my cheeks, and mascara. I live in Florida year-round, so my routine is meltproof except for the mascara (haven't found a meltproof mascara I can wear with contacts, so I rarely wear it).

You can always put another color on top of it. But my liner is a charcoal color, as is the shading. And my lips are just a darker version of my natural lip color, with a little darker lining. I guess they would be considered "mauve". A qualified esthetician should take the time to match your coloring so that you absolutely look your best. Many ladies around here also have their eyebrows tattooed, which I'm contemplating, and their eyelashes permed. The perming doesn't last forever, but will certainly get you through at least a month of not needing mascara.

My mother in law had all of this done several years ago and I thought the same thing - who would want to do that...but then everyone where I work was getting the work done, so I went for it.

No regrets! I get up at 6:45 each morning, shower and wash my hair, dry it, put on clothes, brush my teeth, apply sunscreen and lip balm and I'm ready to go by 7:15 at the latest.
