Ladies, do you wear makeup in the parks?????

Im 16 yet I always wear makeup to the parks since I have started wearing it. I feel like Im not awake without it! It all comes off pretty quickly, but its just part of my routine! I never worry about it running since I dont wear that much, yet I have never had a problem with it!

sure do! i live on the on the texas gulf coast; so, being in florida is like being at home. you just blot away the sweat! LOL!! :earboy2:  :cool1:

I wear Bare Escentuals. It has an SPF in it so I dust some on and put some lipstick/gloss on. When we come back to freshen up before dinner or whatnot, I will add some blush and a touch of eyeshadow.

Oh yeah, I wear make-up. Without make-up, I would be hired on the spot to work at the Haunted Mansion loading foolish mortals into their doom buggies.

Oil-free SPF 18 moisturizer for my face, and SPF 15 lip balm for my kisser. Also lots of regular SPF 30 for arms, legs, etc. Hair in braids or a bandana. If I'm going to PI or to a nice place for dinner, out with the full artillery!

This is me too. Except hair in a ponytial.

Myst

I don't wear it at home so don't at the parks. When I'm home I use sunscreen 30 and sunscreen lip balm and a touch of blusher. When I am going to be outside all day, such as at the parks, I use factor 40 sunscreen on my face arms and hands and sunscreen lip balm, touch of blusher.

I love my Bare Minerals!! I know its an infomercial, and on QVC, and I was mesmerized by the commercial, went to an Ulta store, tried it, and LOVED what it did, I have bad face discolartion, not even the makeup for "scars" would help!!

Bare Essentials eye makeup is stunning, but it doesnt last as long, in the summer - maybe its all my eye rubs!! and I do have to touch up - because of the "shine" factor, but the base coat doesnt streak, it does wonders for me!!

I'm with you. I love Bare Minerals. As a matter of fact, I use Bare Minerals eye liner powder and I love it so much. Its so much easier to put on then liquid of pencil and it lasts a long time.

I stopped wearing makeup years ago. I put sunscreen on my chin and nose, and I do wear that ColorStay lip gloss stuff - it really lasts! But I don't ever wear foundation or blush or any of that (except when I'm onstage). I never wear eyemakeup, although sometimes I guess a little mascara wouldn't hurt :teeth: .

I also stopped blowing my hair dry a while back too, apart from my bangs. I just let it dry, then I brush it. It's long, and looks fine.

I just don't worry about it too much - if I want to 'foo up' sometimes, I can, but mostly, I just wear my own face <g>.

I do because I use the lipstick to protect my lips and the powder I use to protect my skin from the sun. Also, it does not hurt to look decent in the charcater pictures.

No way.

And I'm so grateful being married to a man who appreciates a woman's inner and natural beauty rather than a face with all the trappings. That's not to say I don't wear makeup once in a while to make myself feel nice, but I can't imagine feeling so insecure with myself that I need to wear it just to leave the house.

Please note before you flame me good, I'm not saying that I think everyone who wears makeup feels insecure! I'm just saying that I would only wear it every day like that because I would be feeling insecure. I realize that others have different priorities than me and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Now, if only we could get that message through to the media...

I couldn't agree more. I used to wear make-up, but after I had my first child I stopped wearing it everyday and one day I realized that I was wearing it to make myself feel better for various reasons that didn't really matter anymore. (I do still wear it to weddings, etc., where it is "socially" expected.) If we plan to go to a really nice restaurant when we travel, then I will bring lipstick and a mascara. But thats pretty much it. I am now used to how I look in pictures without make-up and it honestly doesn't bother me. And DH didn't even realized I had stopped wearing it until I mentioned it one day. :confused3

I don't leave my house (except for the gym, and I even do it for there sometimes) without concealer under my eyes and some mascara. I have the worst dark circles from allergies, and I look really, really sick if I don't cover them up.

Last week in WDW, I used what I use everyday. Some undereye concealer, a bronzing powder all over but concentrating on the cheeks, mascara, and tinted lipgloss. I saw people in full makeup as well. It doesn't matter to me. Heck, my favorite picture from the trip was taken at Typhoon Lagoon, and I don't have a speck on...my happiness makes my face. :)

I hate to sound like an advertisement but I love my bare escentuals also. I do not wear a huge amount of makeup to begin with- more like a natural look but bare minerals is great it is like a lightweight powder that gives coverage like a foundation, its just enough to even my skin tone and I never feel like its running off when I am sweaty. I do wear minimal makeup while at disney and I just don't feel as great without it and I don't mind being in pics as much, but thats me.

I wear makeup because I like to, not for any other reason. My DH could care less. I also am fairly prone to breakouts, not great for the photos.

Oh, and I love bare escentuals as well. The only makeup I've ever worn that doesn't get all cakey (I have very oily skin). Covers blemishes without looking all made-up. Doesn't melt either! (We are currently living in S. GA, so that is important!) :sunny:

I have to have concealor, too. EverFresh by Maybelline works well for $4.50 and it's not a "stick", more like a liquid. Waterproof mascara, lip balm and off I go. I always have SPF moisterizer too but no eye shadow, liner, etc. I keep a compact in the purse for when I get shiny. I will try to find the blotting papers referenced in another post instead.

Another bare escentuals girl here. It takes 1 minute to put on and it's a natural suncreen. It all fits in a tiny bag that will go in my carryon with me :goodvibes

I wear tinted moisturizer with an SPF of 30. A little bit of eyeshadow, mascara, and Almay tinted lip gloss ( also has sunscreen in it ).

I always wear makeup. My foundation has sunscreen, so I'm covered there. Back in 2003 I had some surgery, and then had to be on Lupron for 6 months, and the medication effected my facial coloring. My freckles are much more visable and are "clumped" in the middle of each of my cheeks. Then I have pink sections on each side and I am very fair, so YUCK!

I am glad to hear that some of you are in a similar situation with the facial coloring (or rather discoloring), and recommend Bare Minerals/Esentuals. I have shopped QVC since 1992, and maybe need to try some of it! Thanks!

Just waterproof mascara (learned the hard way at Popeye's Bilge Rafts at Universal) and spf 15 or 30 moisturizer. Without mascara, people look at my blond eyelashes and accuse me of being sick!

I wouldn't at a local park, but what if DH takes a picture of me & Mickey that will hang in our living room forever?

I can't decide if I should wear it or not. I don't wear a lot - just base, powder and a little blush. But will I sweat it off? Ewwwwwwwwwwwww....

Help?!

I don't wear makeup, ever, unless we are having professional photos taken. I am so pale that I worry I will look really washed-out without SOMETHING on my face! :earseek:

But I do have a suggestion: how about tinted facial sunscreen/moisturizer? You could put that on and it would even out your skin tone a little, PLUS protect you from the sun! They also have "colorless" mascara that defines your lashes but won't give you raccoon eyes. Good luck finding something you're comfortable with!

You'd better believe I do!

I may save 10 minutes in the morning by not applying it, but then I remember -
vacation photos last forever!

(one look at my no make-up honeymoon pictures, and I am more than motivated)

On the plus side, I just throw my hair in a ponytail and go. No blow-outs on vacation for me!

:flower:
