Wow!!! What wonderful updates!!! I agree with you and the GG Slushie my favorite too... I am not partial to the Gran Marnier slushie, too sweet, GG much more refreshing in hot weather! Like a melted lemon ice popsicle with a kick.. What a relaxing time at Epcot that morning it seems! And how delightful to get a goodie bag from a DIS friend, TWO, I might add, my goodness!!! How sweet!

And of course all your news of the BC just gets me so excited to be there! I will be bringing food with us on the train, since we will have the villa kitchen with the fridge, but I have heard so many positive reports about the Garden Grocer!

Now, this Adventurer's Club, that sounds like a hoot! Very interesting!!! The photos reminded me of the board game "Clue" with all the various ecclectic characters!

Seems like a great start to your trip, C, good friends, great times, and the Happiest place -- what more could you ask for!!!

That was a great update and it makes me really sad that I will never see the Adventurer's club. It really looks like it would be a lot of fun, although I don't think I would want to get picked on either.

I totally agree with you about being around people who "get it". That really hightens the experience.

Anyway - I think the A-club was a great way for you to kick off your first evening. Very cool! I love all the detail in your pictures. They are so fun to look at. Oh - I feel bad for the actors/actresses who are no longer AClub regulars. That must be really hard for them to have to give that up.

Loved this update!!! What great detail inside the Adventurer's Club!! I too have never been and sadly will probably never get to go...but it looks like a fun place! And you are right nothing beats being able to relax and enjoy time with friends ESPECIALLY at Disney!!!

Terrific update! Jay and I miss the AC so much ... why oh why did Disney close it down?

And yes ... until 9PM they allowed parents to bring their children to the AC because we always saw kids there whenever we went.

Yep, we took our kids to the Adventurers Club. As I recall, our oldest son was in the worst mood possible - his girlfriend had just dumped him over the phone. He was 15, she was 18!! Annnnyway, both kids started off luke-warm about the place, but by the end of the evening, they were having a great time. They're both in their 20's now, and were disappointed to hear that there would be no AC this time around.

Thanks, Lizziejane. I bet that is what happens. My parents wanted a drink and dragged us in with them. Oh, your poor son. Break up by phone that is tough. Teenage heartbreak is the hardest, I think. Not that adult heartbreak is any picnic.

The Adventurers Club looks like fun.

That's a perfect analogy. It was VERY much like Clue! A game I loved, by the way. Professor Plum in the study with the candlestick, thankyouverymuch!

I think it is safe to say that we all had a blast on this trip! Tough to have a bad day at WDW, though!

The champagne and slushie stand is opposite Chefs de France. If you were walking over the bridge from the International Gateway or the UK, you would turn to the left and it would be the first kiosk on your left. And as for a quiet place to sip it, I'd recommend going around to the side of the French pavilion into the gardens.

That is a very tempting option. Truly. I was really pretty set on canceling December but the idea of passing on an opportunity to hear Marty Sklar speak is making me rethink it. That's once in a lifetime. There's no photos, video or audio recording... wonder what secrets he's going to tell?! Can you IMAGINE what it must have been like to work with Walt?

IF I go, it'll only be for a few days. Come in late Thurs - hear him on Fri morning, hopefully do the TSM party on Sat and come back on Sun.

As another girl with a resort crush (mine is the Poly) I would advise going with your favorite if it's available. You can easily visit the Wilderness Lodge and take in all the glory of the decorations. I know that feeling of being at home at your resort, and that adds a special touch on top of the already awesome specialness. The ease of getting to the events and your favorite park from the BC will make the short trip as efficient as possible. If you can't get the BC, then it is the perfect time to try WL!

I'm glad you had fun at the AC, and you did really well with the attention of the Boy Scout!

Well....speaking from the persepctive of someone who just made the decision between VWL abd BCV, I say go for the wilderness lodge. When we drove up to the WL in September I got the immediate feeling of, "Wow.....I have to stay here". I don't know. It just came over me. Totally spontaneous. I didn't expect it, but just decided to go with "the feeling". Plus, as others have said, it really does scream Christmas.

I think its really good to try new resorts. To me, that is a huge part of the fun of going to Disney. I know you love BC, but you will probably book that again in Oct. Right? Just saying.

But, honestly, just go with what your gut is telling you.

That would be awesome to hear Marty Sklar, no doubt!

Follow your heart on the resort. We think every fountain is a wishing fountain, so we throw coins in and make wishes everywhere!

Everyone is different, but for me personally, I'd do WL at Christmas and then Beach Club at a warmer time when I'd be more apt to take advantage of Stormalong Bay. That is just my first thought, but you seem to be doing a lot of your trip right around BC, so that would be good, too.

The AC looks like such a blast! What a great dinner event. I hope they do decide to re-open the AC after the economy turns upward a bit...I haven't heard any news on it at all, have you?

As for the December trip...stay where you love. Go with the Beach Club if you can, it's walking distance which makes it nice and easy. Plus, you can go over and visit the WL to take in the beauty!!

I'm going with Heather on this one! You can always visit, even for a few hours if you want to hang out in the lobby, take pictures, heck even do an Artist Point meal if you want, but staying "at home" adds an element of ease and comfort you may miss. You "know" it, know your way around, the little nuances of the transportation system all that. There's no guesswork of figuring that out.

But then again, if you're feeling up for an big adventure- The Wilderness Lodge is certainly lovely!
