La Cava - Requesting a different salt?

Quick question!

When ordering at La Cava, can you request a different salt on the rim than the one that comes on there? There are a couple of drinks I really like the look of, but I am not interested in ants on/in my drink. Could I request regular salt or no salt?

I usually get mine with no salt. I don't think asking for regular salt would be a problem, either.

I don't do tequila anymore, but I always requested without the salt. Any bar should have no problem leaving the salt off at all.

The ants don't taste like ants, unless you have dietary choices/restrictions against them, they are pretty tasty. it just looks like black salt and tastes like salt.

My favorite drink there is the Dragones Top Shelf, which has the black ant salt. I sometimes get it with salt, sometimes without, no issues whatsoever.

Getting thirsty just sitting here thinking about it.

Yes I have asked them to switch the salt with no problem (I had the black ant salt once and didn't realize what it was. It tasted fine, but now that I know what it is, I won't eat it.)

The problem is that I know they're ants. Doesn't really matter what they taste like, it's a mental block.

I guess I didn’t think about it, because it just looks like black salt. The texture and size are exactly the same as coarse salt used for margaritas,
