On the Mickey swirl outfit I just love the pant legs. Too Cute!! That gives me an idea with my mickey cutouts from iron on patches.

Okay here is my second attempt with my new found confidence!I'm quite happy with it except for the sizing of the pants. The pattern was a 1-2-3 size, and I think it was designed for diapers, because it's a bit poofy in the crotch. I attempted to alter it, with some success, but after I put the waistband in, I was not going to take it out to fix it right. Anyway, lesson learned. Trim down all patterns for my skinny girl!

How did you make the adorable hair bow? I would love to make some for the fourth and haven't seen the back of any to figure it outThank you!!!
I love your outfits as well. The ice cream dress is adorable!
Here's what I did with the Mickey swirl fabric. I DON'T sew, so this is as good as it gets!! DD is in the pool with DH so maybe I'll post pics. with her wearing it later. I plan on making matching bows too. We're going in February so jeans won't be too hot!

Your post was probably overlooked. I'll send it to you if you still want it. I have similar ones that a friend from the DISigns board made and I'll send those to you too. Just PM me if you want them.

That is really cute. I had wanted to do one too but no one was willing to share the templates. I asked on two different of the threads and this one. Oh well.
Thanks for sticking up for me. I'm getting tired of trying to explain myself. I have worked in many different hospitals and spent many years in PICU and Pediatrics working with sick children. Not all of the children who come into the hospital are cute bouncy babies. I just discharged a 10 month old who weighed 6 pounds and who had a horrible genetic condition, that made her look very different. You know what I did? Wrapped her up, and loved her to bits, and cried when she had to go home.
I value the differences in the children and adults in our socitey. That what makes this world interesting to me. I think all of the children that have been posted to this site, have been adorable.
Wow...that is kind of sad in a way and I am all for enforcing copyright infringement by big businesses, but that secret shopper assignment seems a bit extreme. I guess I just can't imagine having nothing better to do than to go around reporting people for copyright infringement...but that is just me. I know some people on Ebay make it their sole mission in life to police the listings and I wonder where they find the time.![]()
Wow! This is one of my all-time favs!
Nicely done!![]()

Hi ladies, I have been enjoying this boards for quite a while.LOVE that BBQ dress BTW.
I made my DD a jasmine costume this weekend. I wanted something comfy that doesn't expose the tummy. I used this pattern (fabric from Hobby Lobby) and just increased the width/length of the pants for fullness. Also I added gold sequins around the neckline and coins around the waist. I think the coins really "make it".
Here's the finish product
I did some gold detail stitching also, but it didn't photograph too well.
I also saw some lanyard autograph book purses on ebay. They were so cute. If they are from anyone here, I want to say thanks for the inspiration. I made my own using 1/2 yard fabric and fusible batting plus 1 yard of the belt/lanyard (measure depending on the child). I also added some fullness to the bottom and velcro closure. I made my son a backpack as well. I can give the dimensions I used if anyone is interested.
and the models...

ok here is a picture of the skirt with the black shirt! Now the bottome length is not hemmed it needs to go up an inch so don't be alarmed! Oh and her smile is crooked, but wanted to show the outfit on! do you think this is tooo hot for july? the pink and black tulle look cute. the dark pink shirt made the skirt look more red

I love them!
If you don't sew, I'm curious as to how you got the Mickey's to stick...
Totally other thread, but do you happen to live near Alpharetta?
My daughter (6 going on 16) was looking at this page with me and said, how old is that girl. When I read further and found out she was 6, I told her and her reply was, "see, 6 year olds don't wear hairbows like 5 year olds do!"
I have been pointing out the pretty girls with the big bows and she is tired of it!
