My father said "Your idea of roughing it is staying at a hotel with no room service. You're going to hate a campground." In college, my dad would work each summer as a counselor at a sleep away camp in the Catskills.

The IDEA of camping intrigues me. But I don't know if I'd survive the night.

I don't think we're going to do costumes. Kris wanted to go as Wall-E and Eve but once I heard the words "cardboard boxes" I nixed that idea. I found a Halloween-themed shirt - black with a silver Mickey heard covered in cobwebs. We're working on finding Kris a shirt!

Spring Break just started for me on Friday. I spent the weekend at Hershey Park and the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Now, I'm home dealing with a health issue. Doctor's appointment on Wednesday, so I'll see how that goes.

I STILL need to book DLR, just trying to decide on dates. I'm also trying to figure out if WDW in October is feasible. I think it may be. Oh and I finally booked at hotel in D.C. for the night before our flight to MCO. I'm in planning mode today.

I'd book the 12/22 arrival for Disneyland. It might not make a huge difference but I can promise that after Christmas is a zoo. It's a magical zoo but a zoo none the less. You will definitely want to rope drop on that trip and use FP to its full advantage.


I'm all set. I wish I had some Be Our Guest info though. Jenna wants to go there 10/14 but I need a back up plan.

$900 a night for a standard room? Supply and demand. But you know what? You're going to love the GCH. It's beautiful especially during the holidays.

Wow, now that's a hotel girl. And you were even thinking about the cabins. I'd never leave. The service must be terrific.

Fa sho! And M just left for a Land's End job. The kids and I had 9 days on vacation, then one day home with M, and now we've got a week together. That's a whole lot of each other.

We celebrate both holidays so it's pretty safe!

We usually do too Amanda. We recognize the cultural (read Bunny) aspects of Easter and then celebrate Passover. Did your kids dye eggs? This was the first year we didn't as we were on vacation. We really missed it.

I like your idea. Mine wanted to do elaborate costumes too but I also nixed the idea. I explained they'll want to be comfortable for rides and fireworks etc.... I'm thinking along your lines too about matching shirts, Dalmations to be exact. I'll buy some cute puppy ears and we'll call it good I hope.
