Thank you!!!

Ohhh I forgot about Long Beach...

So, did you book AoA?

Long Beach is by far the easiest to fly into. Even more so than Orange County. Unless LAX is loads cheaper, avoid it at all costs. Think LaGuardia with fake ****s and a suntan. :rotfl2:

I haven't yet. Still stalking flights. I did find a fairly decent flight home but with two stops. :scared1: But with out Cont credit it would only be $550 for the 6 of us. I need to use the Cont credit but oh I hate them so. But $550... That's a bargain. But two stops? Sucks. :upsidedow Good flight time though crazy enough. Has us leaving MCO around 4:30 and even with the stops has us arriving about 11 pm in SLC.

Just heard a podcast on WDW radio where they talked about the menu at AoA. Sounds incredible for a value food court. I mean really really incredible!

ITA about flying into Long Beach. Best airport!!! Plus, since you exit on the tarmac, kids feel like rock stars.

Your comparison of LAX and LaGuardia is priceless!! :lmao:

Jenny & Cynthia, I'm going to investigate flights from NYC to Long Beach. And I love Jetblue and hate LAX. So this may be the perfect way to go.

Two stops on your flight home sucks, but at least it's the flight HOME. I don't know if I'd do that at the beginning of the vacation, where everyone is just anxious to GET to WDW. And $550 is a steal. I would take that flight. For the flight to MCO, I'd try to get a nonstop.

Total rock star! :cool2: Seriously, there are 4 gates and one luggage round Gussy. You can't go wrong. :thumbsup2

:flower3: Link please to AoA podcast. The Nemo pool area sounds like a blast. If we fly in Saturday, we'll get some use out of it. And I'm a sucker for a great food court. That's the only thing I miss about the POR: their food court rocks!

Yeah, I'd never do two stops there but a nonstop, as of now, will cost me a kidney plus my right eye. :scared: They are so expensive. The flight time out is perfect for the flight home as ME demands on being so early. If they pick us up at 1:30, we'll still have plenty of time to sleep in and hit DTD for some last minute magic. :thumbsup2

I'm not thrilled about 2 stops especially since one of them is 40 minutes in Houston on Cont with a flight that's only 70% on time but it's a legal connection so they can sell it. Am I sucker enough to buy it? But oh my it's so cheap for 6 flights with out credit. :hyper: We've also got some miles to convert but I need M to do it and he's whooped from his shift last night and napping. I'm sure he's not in the mood to call the cc company or airline. Might suck it up and just pay the money and use the other points for the SW outbound flight. It's not like they'll never get used ya know?

Hmmmm Long Beach seems the best way to go. Small and efficient are always good in my book!

AoA has peaked my interest as well. It seems so different from the other values. I love the themed rooms.

If you're going to be able to use the credit later, than I would definitely look for flights you really want. When do you usually buy airfare? I tend to buy at the 5-6 month mark and it works pretty well for us.

I thought you preferred XL. :rotfl2: I still want to hear about your night. popcorn::

I think AoA looks so cool and really, any of the three themed suites would work as we like all of the films. :thumbsup2 Are you thinking about staying a night? Your nephews would love it!

I buy when they drop. And this is the best drop I've seen. I will start to panic at 4 months. ;) I think I'm going to buy these when M wakes up. I forgot I need his United FF number too. Hopefully I can use the voucher numbers online and not have to call. :wizard: I hate calling United/Cont/WeSuck.

I do prefer XL. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The Golden Girls show was HILARIOUS! I have to message you about that and XL on FB.

I'm considering AoA for October. I fluctuate between GF, WL, AoA, and the mods. Since it will most likely be a 3 night trip, I can't see dropping lots of $$$ on a room just for a weekend.

Good luck with booking the flights!
I haven't flown Cont in years and never tried United. But it doesn't seem like I'm missing much. :lmao:

We're using at least airlines for our August trip.

My brother, SIL, & niece are using SW.
My parents, nephews, and I are using Delta (to D.C.), Jetblue (to MCO), and JFK (to NYC).
My uncle and aunt still haven't booked. Most likely she'll leave from West Virginia, where she'll be for work. My uncle will leave from New Jersey or New York. They need to book their flights.

Are you getting TiW?

Booked our flights from MCO to SLC. $563.60 for 6 one way flights. Screeeeeeamin deal ladies. :woohoo: On hold with United. :hyper:

Okay, I'll be back Gussy to address your response.

Hi Ladies!! Wow I had a lot to catch up on, it's been so crazy around here! So I made the ADR's for our trip and it turned out that I got everything I wanted and assumed that the crew wanted cause at the last minute everyone was all kinds of wishy washy so I just made executive decisions which it appears they wanted me to do all along! UGH!
Anyway, so here's what my plans are now:
Saturday arrival day - lunch at San Angel Inn for Jay and Mom and I. Pizza party in the room and surprise birthday cake for Jay (it's his bday that day)
Sunday - open but will Barbeque at the grills after we go to the grocery store.
Monday - Bippity Boppity for the three girls at 11:00 then lunch in the Castle
Tuesday - Momma Melrose at 3:30 with the Fantasmic dining package
Wednesday - breakfast at Boma for Jay and Mom and I - rest of the day open
Thursday - Mickeys Backyard Barbeque - open park day
Friday - breakfast at Boma for Mom and Jay and I and dinner for all 10 of us at 'Ohana for our last hurrah.

Think that is loose enough or too loose?

I hope I can join the party!
We're a family of 5 but younger than your kids. Trying to get caught up on all of your plans!

Amanda

Still waiting for my FB message. popcorn::

You left a number, how many airline are you guys flying?

I still haven't decided on AoA. It's going to be based on flight times and prices and this point. :surfweb: :hyper:

Amazing deal!!!
Are you booking your SLC to MCO flights on SW?

That's my plan as we've got that 50,000+ miles to use. Plus they don't charge for bags. :thumbsup2 But even though they give two free, we can't bring that many or we have to pay to get them home.

I'm glad you got all of your ADRs! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: I think it's a good blend of planned and non-planned. I love the surprise party in your room idea. And you know I'm a fan of using the grills. Is grandma doing a BBB treatment too?

I hope I can join the party!

:welcome: Hi Amanda. Of course you can join, all are welcome. What are your plans? popcorn:: We love details.

And I have enough points for 3 SW one ways to MCO so I only have to pay for 2. :woohoo: :dance3: I'm going to happy dance myself silly.

Awesome deal!! That means more spending money!

So I think I missed what you ended up getting, am I right that you the CL at AK?
Good, I'm glad you though it was a good blend. I was a bit concerned that it was too planned but I keep looking at it thinking it's probably best. We do plan on doing a bunch of meals in the villa and decided that our night time meal would be where we decided to go the next day. Did you bring your own grill utencils or do they have them for you to use?
Grandma is still threatening to do the BBB, I told her I made her an appt. She's all in! I think it would be hysterical, but she doesn't embarrass easy, especially when she knows she's embarrassing me!

Though I do have a bit of a surprise for her. I have a sales meeting in August in Orlando - I just found out. I'm going to go down a few days early and take her with me for some mother daughter bonding time. I'm hoping to stay at Port Orleans. I've been craving some beignets!

I have to send you a FB message. I was in recovery mode yesterday. ;)

We're using 3 airlines: Delta, Jetblue, and American. My brother is sticking with SW.

Is it cheaper to get one family suite? Or two standard rooms?

I love SW's free bags. LOVE IT!

When are you booking with SW?

Awesome on the free flights! We usually fly JetBlue because we don't have SW close to us. We have to drive about 90 min for SW and 15 min for JetBlue!

We ended up with Kidani. CL wasn't available the exact days I wanted so I bagged it. It would have required one more day at THV and an extra move, neither of which made it worth it.

A surprise trip? How cool! I'm so envious of women who like their mothers. ;) Seriously though. I think it's very cool and special. :goodvibes And beignets? :cloud9:

I like big meals in the villa too. :thumbsup2 Formthe mornings we sleep in, we'll do a big brunch too. So much better than park food.

As soon as our miles post I'll get serious about booking unless a cheap flight comes up and then we'll transfer other miles. I'd like to use the SW ones as I got the card specifically for the miles. I've got a month though before the miles post I believe.

Two standard at Pop are cheaper. But AoA looks so much cooler. And it's new. :cloud9:

Ooooo.....recovery mode. Jealous!

Great job on the flights!!!:banana::banana::banana:

I'm super stoked!!! :cool1:

Did our BCV waitlist come through? I don't know how quick I'd be to give up that BW view. :cloud9:

JetBlue is my favorite airline and we always fly it to So Cal but it's so expensive to go to MCO from SLC. I see NYC flights for cheap but never Florida. :confused3 My kids love the little tv's on JetBlue. I bet your kids do too.

I just started reading your trip report. Wow, you've got some fun trips in the works!
