My first time cruising, so I don't know much about the ships. I have the DVC member cruise booked on the Dream for next Sept. Me, my daughter and her husband, and my adult son. I booked 2 verandah staterooms category 5C. I have my daughter and son-in-law in one stateroom and me and my son in the other. My question, does the main bed separate into two singles? This way my son wouldn't need to sleep on the sofa bed. He's 6 ft tall, would the sofa bed fit him?

My son is a bit over 6 ft tall and he makes the sofa bed work without too much issue. Occasionally I swap and let him have the queen but not too often, after all I am paying ;)

You can ask the cabin steward for foam for the sofa bed. I just learned this in February when I sailed with my friend who has more DCL experience than I do. There are also 2 bathrooms- one with sink/shower tub and sink/toilet

This is from the Fantasy but Dream is sister ship so same configuration

You should be able to ask the room attendant to unlock the divider between the 2 verandahs. Some dividers are solid walls, but most do open. It’s nice to have the longer verandah to sit and visit with family in connecting cabins.

My 6ft tall son has slept on the sofa several times with no problem.
