Kelly&Adrian 09/22/10- SBP/The Attic/HDDR/UK - Nominated for Best Dressed Attendants!

Sounds really great!! What exactly did you try at your tasting? I'm having mine in 3 weeks so I need to definitely come up with a menu to taste, and yours sounds really yummy. Any recommendations?

I tried the yogurt martinis but ultimately decided to cut them due to a nut allergy in one of my guests...they were amazingly delicious though!

I also tried the seared chicken with apple, fig and fennel - which made the cut cause it was some of the best chicken i had ever had.

I then tried the pasta with artichoke cream sauce - DELICIOUS!

Then came the grand marnier cream cheese stuffed crepes with berry sauce/creme anglaise....The chef could tell right away I kind of winced at the first bite (I don't drink at all - so a bit of booze is very noticeable to me)...he asked what in particular I didn't like about the dish (I hate this cause I am just not the type of person to ask a chef to change a recipe!)...I told him it was the grand marnier....he promptly replied..."I can leave it out and still make it taste just as good"! I kind of debated for a few minutes (i LOVE cream cheese) because I really didn't want him to have to make such a drastic modification...but he kept assuring me it was no big deal, and how it's "my day" and all they want is for me to love the food...so I added it on. I have a feeling it will be one of my favorite things on the menu!

The food tasting was an eye opener for me, as I originally wanted mostly breakfast items and very little of the "unch" part of brunch. But sitting down with the chef and Amy there to help me out was great, and they both strongly felt that at noon some people are just ready for lunch instead of all breakfast...but I'm keeping lots of the breakfast foods too, just in case.

Your guests are going to love, love, love your food choices. They are going to love both br- and -unch selections!

Thanks for coming over and checking me out over here! And I am super happy with my food choices...now if only I could fast-forward through the next 3 months...

Thank you so much for posting your tasting session. Your menu is almost identical to what we were thinking about so it is great to hear what you thought about everything! Hopefully I will be able to go down for a PS to taste everything too, but at least we get to go to our site visit in 3 months!

Also glad you posted what you thought of the cake flavors. I want to get the chocolate with peanut butter for one of our tiers because it is a favorite combination of my DF but I am allergic to nuts so I won't be able to try it. I never thought of the lemon one so I will definitely think about that choice too!

Glad your PS was wonderful and Amy was so helpful!

My final ADR changes have been made. I am doing a spilt stay for our last 5 days, and we are doing the Deluxe Dining Plan for the first 3 days, then no DP for the last 2. So now my ADRs for the honeymoon portions are:
Sept 30 - Artist Point dinner (then MNSSHP)
Oct 1 - CRT Breakfast, Narcossees dinner
Oct 2 - Boma breakfast, Cali Grill dinner
Oct 3 - paying OOP for 3 hour Safari with dinner at Jiko
Oct 4 - no ADRs - playing it by ear...I am considering booking the KTTW tour this day but not sure.

I can't believe I am only 3 months away from this trip...wow time flies!

Love the ADR's! You are going to a lot of places that I would like to try so I can't wait to hear how much you enjoy them! And I see that you are doing the MNSSHP, have you gone before? We are going on our disneymoon as well, and neither of us have been before so I am really excited about it!

We have done MNSSHP before - it was great...we basically went to all the candy stops first, then did a bunch of rides cause there were no lines for anything! We did Splash Mountain at night for the first time ever - loved it! We walked so much that my neice wore holes in the bottom of her Jasmine shoes!

The fireworks show for the Halloween party is also awesome!

OK so again, there are bad points to having everything planned with 3 months still to go...my mind wanders...and has now latched on to a new obsession.

Invitations/Itineraries...
I have already sent out 2 newsletters, and the Disney Save-the-Dates....but now I'm like "Well, we should have a nice, customized invitation with our final itinerary all done up pretty-like for our guests" (since everything has changed many times since those first newsletters).

Sigh - will this never end? When did I turn into "this type of bride"???

I am more than likely going to get them, as the only cure once I get one of these totally obsessive thoughts in my head is to just go ahead and do it...:rotfl:

All guests have RSVPed already, so I'm thinking something like this "Thank You for joining us in Walt Disney World for this truly special occasion...our Wedding Day" (wording not set in stone - I haven't figured out how I want it worded yet). Then our names and the date underneath, followed by a breakdown of the itinerary.

I am then going to get a second card made with "special instructions" including transportation, park tickets needed for dessert party, informal dress, etc.

So I'm hoping that I don't come up with too many of these ideas in the next few months, cause they all cost $$!

I am also considering programs...but I'll save the obsessing over that till later...

Happy Friday everyone!! I am now 91 days away from the start of this trip - my how time flies!!

Don't worry, I've turned into that "type of bride" also, about the most random things!!!! The really big things that a lot of other people get stressed out about I'm like, "eh, it will all work out" the little things, like the napkins and the placement of those in regards to the menu cards are what I stress about! :confused3 :lmao:

Though I found more and more that the same cure works for me..... :rotfl:

Your guests are going to really appreciate those details that you want to put in this thank you note/invitation idea. I think this new idea is a good one.

You are acknowledging them for making the out-of-town trip, and assisting them with ideas they may know nothing about (not like us crazy Disney fanatics).:wizard:

I love your menu choices, they sound so great! I think most of us turn into "that bride", and the way I see it, if you want something, and can afford it, than do it! You only get this once, do everything you can to make it what you want!

And the invites (or "thanks for coming" cards) are now ordered...the faster I cave the better I feel - lol

I have also fallen off the wagon with working out/eating right in the last few days for some reason....although as of tomorrow (the "90 days till the trip" mark) I am on a mission to do some kind of exercise each and every day. I'll keep you all posted.

As for tonight.....i bought us each a delicious cupcake to enjoy after our yummy salmon dinner. Tomorrow is a new day.

Ok so I am on a super hellish mission to do some for of exercise each and every day for the 90 days leading up to our wedding....right now I feel like I have been kicked in the abs and it's only day 88...lol The goal is any kind of exercise, either cardio or weights, plus 50 to 100 crunches per day.

I am chronicling my journey in detail on my new blog: (thelifeofkellymac.blogspot.com).

Saturday I walked 9.86 km plus did 50 crunches, yesterday I went on the tradmill for 15 minutes, and the elliptical for 5....plus 50 crunches, and today I did my run/walk thingie with my sister and dod, you guessed it...50 crunches.

This sucks.

ugh gotta love exercise programs! I am in the same situation, trying to get myself into shape before the wedding day. I think we just don't want to see pictures for the rest of our lives that we are unhappy with. Good luck with your program! It seems like it is going well so far, so hopefully you can sustain it as long as you want to!

MY BEO and estimated cost came in today and it is exactly $100 less than I had hoped!! I am still waiting for floral but I'm sure that will come in under budget as I over estimated the hell out of it! YAY!

My invite proofs also came in and they are fantastic - will post them soon...

YAY - today is GREAT!

I'm glad to hear you had such a positive experience with your tasting session. Everything sounds really yummy. We were thinking a breakfast brunch menu but the more we thought about it, we decided lunch food was better. It was actually on the few requests DF made (and he loves breakfast!). We're also teachers, with many teachers in the family, so lunch can be as early as 9:45 so it's not too weird to serve more savory food.

Your exercise kick sounds great. Makes me want to go and do something. And don't feel like a crazy bride. I totally understand how you feel. Happy 3 month mark!

If you are coming to the wedding this will ruin the surprise and excitement of getting these in the mail - so don't read this!
