Hi Barb! Getting caught up here after having missed your awesome reviews. I follow your instagram posts so I get my morning fix of your great dining photos!!
Ok, drooling on the computer is not good for itCan't wait to read about the party - sounds amazing!
Question because I'm new can you get the cheddar cheese soup from a walk up location by chance? I know that's not a restaurant my family would want to eat at but I lovecheddar cheese soup!
Oh I know what you are talking about food and wine on the weekends is intense with crowds!! It's butt check to cheek haha! That's a shame your filet wasn't as good as before. We haven't been since it became a signature as we love the Yachtsman so much.
Hey Barb, I'm just seeing your report here for the first time - and loving it. I was trying to figure out where I saw your username before - on Instagram!!! Mine is cynditech1I'm having a great time looking through all of your pictures and descriptions! Thanks for sharing!
I was so jealous - going aways back - at how soon you got to see Jack & Sally at MNSSHP. We were there around the same time last year - and our wait was closer to 2 hours (even though we lined up well before the party)!
And I had to LOL about the crowds at F&W - we thought it was absolutely crazy last year - I'd never seen crowds like that before (that was our 3rd F&W). Of course, that doesn't stop me from wanting to do it again!
It's always so sad to have a disappointing meal when previous experiences were better. Thanks for the Carly Hall review...I was flipping through the channels one day and saw her on The Chew and was wondering who she was!
Sorry to hear your recent trip to LeCellier was rather unspectacular. I have to admit though I was not surprised. I highly doubt I will ever set foot in LC again. I jumped off the LC bandwagon well before it ever became a signature restaurant.
Oh, no. You've had better steaks at the Outback. That is not good.
I hope your day improved, food-wise.
You are right that steak looks absolutely amazing, too bad it didnt taste that way. Maybe the Australian steaks headed for outback got lost in Canada? Did it have any truffle taste?
I'm sad you couldn't give Le Cellier a better report Barb. I haven't been there in a long time since before it became a Signature restaurant. At least the pretzel bread was still awesome.
We are staying at the Poly next trip so there is no excuse to not head over to GFC for the French toast just gotta pry Chase out of bed.![]()

Yum.....yum....yum.....and did I mention.....yum...?! That all looks seriously delicious and I completely understand the need to attend that event with so many incredible chefs represented in one room - wow! And you mentioned a second party....ok I. AM. READY.![]()
That looks AMAZING. A total foodie treat![]()
Oh my the Party for the Senses looks like it was true to its name! I would have probably filled up on all those delicious looking chocolates.
I just started following along and all the food looks amazing!
PFS looks amazing!!! My husband is too picky and doesn't drink wine so we have never been. It's on my bucket list for sure!! Thanks for the amazing photos.
You have to apologize for those photos?? They are better than I can do on my best day - with no wine!!
I had to chuckle at your formulating a "plan" while you were in the holding pen. From the first photos it definitely looks like sensory overload so I completely understand plans being ditched after the first 5 seconds.
All those wonderful choices reminds me of your traditional foods from around the world dining extravaganza that you host at your home. Everything is so beautifully presented.
Ok, have to ask..... do they give you a cafeteria type tray?
(Thanks for your sweet comments.)
Brenda, I have no idea how you were able to walk out of that place when you were done; after all that they would have had to wheel me out of there because of being in a deep food coma. And I love your strategy, get the chocolates and desserts out of the way early.![]()
I'm not even sure I have words for the amazing food and drink you clearly had. I can't believe how big the portion sizes are, I would have expected bite size with so many offerings. But everything looks and sounds absolutely wonderful. I've never seen pics of the part before, so now I have one more for the bucket list ; ) can't wait to see what the next one shapes up to be like
What a cool inside look at PFTS! Thanks for sharing this.
I'm following your IG account, too, and love the daily posts. Disney food is my favorite to see on my feed!
Barb here, not Brenda...but I totally take that as a compliment since I believe you were thinking of emmysmommy. I think Brenda told me your name is Bob. Did I get that right?Anyway, yes it was not easy. I think the bus stop for the Wilderness Lodge was the absolute farthest away, or at least it seemed that way. But that was probably a good thing, as it allowed me to walk off a few of the bazillion calories I devoured that night.

I hope you can stick around.
