I got home Friday from our first family trip to WDW. It was a first trip for my kids and husband, but my second. The resort has sure changed since I was last there 18 years ago. My kids were the happiest I have ever seen them! It was truly and amazing experience for our family. My husband, who isn't crazy about taking big vacations, is already talking about, "when we go back to Disney....." Hopefully we'll be back again in about 3 years, after I have my third baby and he is around 3. I'm 6 months pregnant now.
Even though it was hot, I have to say that we went at a perfect time. The crowd level was perfect! We walked on to just about every ride, with the exception of a few of the main attractions. I was a little disappointed that we missed the fireworks every night we were there. The one night we stayed at DHS, they cancelled Fantasmic due to technical difficulties. I was SO disappointed. That was the one show that I was NOT going to miss. I guess even Disney can have technical problems, although I never would have expected that. Another little thing that I was a little sad about was that I thought we would get the hand towels shaped into different disney characters or animals left on our beds in the hotel room everyday. We stayed at the CR and I thought that was something they did there. Also, we were on the DDP and I thought that children under 3 ate free everywhere in the resort. We were charged for my DS2 at every meal except CRT.
I'm already thinking of our next trip and wondering if early November is a good time to go. I would love to see the holiday decorations!
