We just had a great time on the 2/1/04 Wonder, even though the first night had 8-12 foot seas and was pretty rough.

I read, and read, and read these boards and still learned alot.

1.) After you pack your bags, open them and remove half then take that amount.

2.) Cat 3 rooms have plenty of room and outlets, I did not use the over the door show holder or electrical power strip.

3.) Luckily we were on the right side of the ship, we were able to see the ship docking, and the sun really heated up the rooms on the other side. My brother was on the other side and said his room was roasting from the time the sun hit the horizon until late that night.

4.) They SPOIL you!. I had to open the tip envelopes I had made for the server amd stateroom hostess and put more cash in them. They really went out of their way to make our trip special.

5.) My room (8532) was INCREDIBLE. I already booked it for next Februray (2005) as well!

Let me be the first to Welcome you basck to reality!!!

Gald you had a great time!!!

Welcome back, Billinaz! I noticed that 8532 is a connecting cabin with 8534. Did you have a problem with noise from this cabin?

Welcome Back!!!!! I cruise next week.

Hi Little Twin Sisters
NO documents yet for me either!!:(

OH MY GOSH! I think we double everyones tips!!! Palo was excellent...and I learned the same 5 things you did...PACK LESS...we had to buy another suitcase!!! *laugh* Now BF wants the whole set!

Bill how did you handle the first night??? Pretty rough huh?

Last April we were in cabin #8582 - Cat 3 - by Aft elevators. We rebooked onboard and the CM recommended we take 8532 because it has a larger lay out with a larger verandah. She also said it was "wider" with much more space than 8582.

We are so excited! Cabin 8582 was wonderful and we loved the location, right under Topsider and the Mickey Pool.

Was your location nosier? Being right off the midship elevators?

8582 is right off the elevators and we never heard a word! Never heard anything above us - below us - next to us!

I am now just starting to get serious about planning our trip now that we have a break in between sports here in our house... it's great to see someone say such wonderful things about our upcoming cabin (although on the Magic).

Thank you for your post..... i'm so excited.....now!

The first night was pretty rough, and I had doublts about ever doing it again if that was the norm....

The room was nice and it was right by the midship elevators.

I never heard anything from anyone by the elevators.

We did hear the late party on the Nassau night, but closing the verandah door solved most of it.

I never heard anything from the connecting room.

You could hear things dragged on the deck above in the morning, but I was getting up then anyway, it never woke me up.

did you do the bridge tour...IT WAS AWSOME!!! I thought it would be boring...but I should have know that disney would make it fun...it was worth it!!!

Missed the bridge tour....

But the FIRST thing that stood out in my mind about the service on the cruise was when we went to the first buffet onboard.

Our 4 year old was saying she did not want anything on the buffet, and one of the CM's heard it and asked to take her for something she would want.

A few minutes later she came back with a plate from what I learned later was the snack bar by the pool.

The 4 year old was smiling ear to ear and ate till she was full.....

I cannot get over how the CM's spoil you.

the first nite I hd the seaser salad at animators...it was awsome!!! When I asked at parrot cay-the next nite to have one...it appeared!!! it was yummy!!!

Just switched to room 8532 b/c learned that 8546 has the 5th person in the bedroom. This wont work since we are traveling with 3 boys (8, 13, 14).

Anything else you can tell me that will help me plan and prepare??

On our cruise in 2000 we stayed in 8530 and on the last day we went next door into 8532 just to look around. What an unbelievable suite !! You will be thrilled when you see your room. Great choice of rooms and have a terrific cruise.

Just got back from our 4 day cruise on the Wonder (sailed on 2-1-04). This was our first Disney Cruise(4th cruise so far) and our 2 kids(11 & 8 girls) it was their first, we all just loved it, it was great. Although i do agree the seas were a bit rough the first night(8-13ft seas) but even with those it was a great time. We had connecting cabins(2575&2577) and they worked out just great for us. We could not believe the level of service we received from all areas on the ship compared to the service on the other ships we have been on. The CM's do really go out of their way to make sure everything is AOK. One thing that impressed us was how much we saw of the Head Server in the dining room, that he was checking with us regularly to make sure that everything was up to our expectations or higher. We never experienced that on any of the other cruises we have been on. The Kids Club CM's were outstanding to our kids, they loved being in the club. And the shows, WOW, what quality entertainment that was. What can I saw about the FOOD, just did we eat enough, We sure did. We are working on booking our next cruise here shortly. Just need to find the money for it but we will:-).......:hyper: :teeth: :wave2:  :earseek: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We had 8528 in June-July, 2 doors down, and I can tell you we never heard any deck noise. When I first booked the first option offered to me was a room under the Goofy pool, but I asked for another choice and ended up right next to the Roy suite. My room was cat. 4, however.

8532 is a great room. Dont worry about storage space, there are drawers and cabinets everyehere.

I left a personal message in the room, email me if you are going to be there and I will tell you where to look.

Take advantage of the in room dining, you can have them bring anything from the restaurants as well as the standard room service menu.

When you check in you get a gold KTTW card instead of a pink one, and you go to sit at the couches by Mickeys ears to wait to board.

When boarding starts, you go first (behind any physically challenged guests). You avoid the huge line waiting to board. Get to the port early and spend more time on board.

You can make your Palo and excursions ressies with the concierge about 2 months out.
