Ok despite not having an actual date that we are going I have just broke down and bought the PAP. I went for the monthly payment plan so I did not get the 2 for 1 which I am bummed about but I did see a post that had renewals at about $99 which is manageable. I figured the $45 a month (for the 3 of us) would be more palatable for my husband right now especially when he wants to upgrade the Dis Fla res passes we have to APs so we could go this summer. the Question I am finally getting to is that I know we won't stay on Universal hotels probably the POP at Disney so is the express passes for the rides that you buy worth it. And which rides are included? thanks for your help!!!

The express pass plus books give you FOTL priveleges one time for each ride. I know that Pteranadon (sp?) Flyers does not have an express line but not sure what else. Keep in mind that the Express Pass Plus books would cost around $60 or more for the three of you. If you are going to have annual passes, you can usually get a pretty good AP rate for Universal hotels. Even if you only stayed for one night that would give you unlimited FOTL for 2 days (check in and check out day). With the money you would pay for POP and the cost of Plus passes, you would probably come out better staying onsite at Universal for at least one night. We have a $119 per night APH rate for RPR this June. Just something to consider.

Here's my opinion on the Plus Booklets (which I'm sure everyone has been waiting on the edge of their esats for my opinion)

If you arrive before opening and tour the park (either one) in a propert fashion, you won't need to spend the extra money for Plus booklets.

If toured correctly, you should be finished with most of the major rides once the crowds get insane. This is a perfect time to see the shows (sitdown and street), enjoy the atmosphere, and explore the playgrounds (fun for even adults- trust me) until the crowds start tapering off towards the end of the day.

I think that 15-30 extra dollars per person for the booklet is steep.
