Just back from a 9 day stay at BCV 8-18 - 8-26. It was me, DW, DD (9 months), SIL, BIL and 3 DNs (6, 6 and 4).

I'll start with our arrival at MCO. We had reserved YourRide based on reviews on this board. Boy, did we do the right thing! We were expecting a van similar to what brought us to Newark Airport instead we got a super stretch limo. Jim, our driver was amazing! He gave us the best service we've ever had from a limo driver. Always smiling, quick with some Disney trivia and wonderful with the kids. What a great start to a Disney vacation!

After our grocery stop (Albertson's) we arrived at the BCV. We arrived on a Sunday at around 2PM. The portico was so crowded we had to wait for 10 minutes before Jim could pull up enough to drop us off. The wait wouldn't have been so bad had it not been for a family that simply STOOD in front of Jim's limo for 5 minutes not allowing us to pull forward.

Our room was not ready so we checked our luggage and headed to SAB. WOW!!! Great pool...great waterslide....great all around. We were greeted at the entrance by a CM who politely asked for our room keys and how many towels we needed. We were given wristbands that showed we belonged and found 7 lounge chairs in a row....The kids hit the slide and we started our BCV stay thankful we switched our ressie from VWL (our home).

At 3PM I felt lucky so I called and checked if our room was ready. Sure enough, it was. We headed to our room, a dedicated 2BR room 104. We were very happy with the condition of the room when we entered. Everything appeard to be in good order and neat and tidy. We were in for a little surprise...It turns out the room was missing a few pieces of equipment. Nothing major. Just a cutting board, pitcher and sheets for the port a crib. No big deal. Housekeeping brought everything up when we called. My advice...check the room before you do anything. We found out we needed these things right when we needed them. I was a little surprised not to find a list of what should be there in the room. I believe we had one in May at OKW... Amazed to find out the front desk didn't have any sort of list either.

This being our first trip without a car we were a little wary of using Disney transportation. We found we had nothing to worry about. Waits for busses and boats avaeraged about 10 minutes while the short walk to Epcot was a welcome surprise. We think we'll continue to use their transportation and save the rental car money for more points.

Overall, crowds were low...I was surprised to find that while Snow White and Small World had 5-10 min waits Pooh and Peter Pan had 50-60 minute waits. No big deal we did Fantasy Land at 8PM on Friday while waiting for our ENite to start with much less of a wait.

Weather was cooperative, if a little hot and humid. Guess that's DW in August for ya.

One more thing... Beaches & Cream is now our favorite burger joint in Orlando. They served us such juicy, great tasting burgers that we just had to go again. And the Kitchen Sink was worth every pound I put on just looking at it.

Can't wait for our next trip.....

Sounds great. Can't wait to go. Thanks for posting a report.

Thanks for reporting!! We can't wait to go home in June. I just read your post to DH and he said what a good reason not to rent a car - adding on MORE points! Sounds good to me!!!

Just a question on SAB. Did you always have to show your children's ID's as well as yours, or did you just have to show your id and that was sufficient for your whole family? thanks.

Great report, I can't wait to experience it ourselves. We are taking my MIL and SIL and 2 nieces at the end of this month, how did that all work out for you guys? Also, did you originally book a van, and just get a complimentary upgrade or did you request a limo?

Thanks for letting all of us know about your trip.

Awesome! I can't wait to get there in December :)

Not the original poster, but we just left BCV on 8/23 and had to show room ID for ourselves and our 2 children (3 & 5) (Floor IDs) when entering SAB. One wristband for each ID.

Jillpie - Contrary to tagrel's experience we just showed one room ID and were given as many wristbands as we asked for. They did insist on putting the wristbands on right there that way you couldn't hoard wristabnds and pass them out to friends not staying at the resort I guess.

Belle and Rella's Dad - I made no request for anything. I just assumed that since everytime I had a larger party other companies provided a van that YourRide would do the same. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see the super stretch! You can't beat that for $80 round trip. Make sure to print the coupon off of YourRide's site.

Hey Gonzalj1, I see you live in Hampton. I'm nearby in Hardyston! Howdy neighbor.

Anyhow, I was surprised to see that they had sheets for the Pack and Play at BCV. On our stay at BWV in May, they did not have sheets for the crib, and advised us to use a queen size sheet provided with the room (contrary to the crib safety poster in the closet). It was my understanding that WDW resorts did not provide Pack-n-Play sheets at all, and I am glad to see that you were able to receive on at BCV. Perhaps BWV will follow suit.

KathyK - Glad to meet someone so close to home. How old is your little one?

When we were at OKW in May the fitted pack-n-play sheets were already bundled with the pack-n-play. This is what led us to call housekeeping. Also, when questioned housekeeping stated that the sheets for the pack-n-play should have been in the room already.

As for BWV, I would probably speak to someone in management and remind them of the possible liability issues with telling a guest to use queen sheets with a pack-n-play. This is a very dangerous scenario and I'm sure their concern for the guests will win out.

Minybear - Just noticed your question. Sorry. We do have quite a few pics that we are in the process of putting on the web. Once I get DSL next week, that is. I'll post a link as soon as their up.

She is 9 months old. It looks like our daughters are about the same age. We were also in WDW in May, when DD was 5 months old, and will be returning in November.

I think I will say something to BWV management, but we will be bringing our own portable crib sheet along with us on our next trip to be on the safe side.

Thank you for the info on the ID's. Its good to know I don't have to bring the kids id's to the pool, one more thing to worry about lugging with us. thanks alot!

Kathy,

This is a little weird. Our DD is also 9 months old and was 5 months her first visit to DW in May. Next you'll tell me you stayed at OKW in May.

I think I hear the twilight zone music playing.

LOL! No worry about the Twilight Zone music - we stayed at BWV for our May trip.
