Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I wanna take that class! :D!

What college are you thinking of going to? (I forgot)

Well right now my list is:
UCLA
USC
Pepperdine
CalArts
Carnegie Mellon University

And there's a few others, but those are my top schools.
I'm going to CMU for 6 weeks this summer, so I can see how I enjoy doing and studying theater every day. I can also see how I enjoy CMU as a school, too (classrooms, campus, location, theatre facilities).

I'm leaning towards going to school in California, but I'm not totally closed to any other schools, either.

I'm starting to lean towards california now.
I guess this means my dad has to take me to see the schools in southern california this summer! :D

Well that works! :]

I toured USC last summer.. I didn't like UCLA when I walked around, but it was super hot and I didn't have an official tour... But UCLA and USC have tip-top theatre programs, so they definitely are schools to keep in mind.

CalArts has a long running history with the Disney family and company, so that's why it's on there, too!

I just talked to my dad. He said that if we do go in June, he'll take me to UCLA and USC.
I only asked about UCLA and he suggested USC.
My dad use to teach at UCLA back then before fire was discovered :3

Let's do another mini challenge!
But I don't want to give the guidlines for this one XD

OK, i'll give another challenge. Disney is reopening the Wonders of Life pavillion and they're going to have a new simulator ride. It must be about the body, and can't be the same, or similar, to Body Wars.

I've got a good one.

About the digestive system - similar to The Magic School Bus' episode like that.

You're shrunk down and eaten, so you learn about the teeth and mouth, esophagus, stomach, large and small intestine, etc.

It sounds lame... But if the Magic School Bus can do it, so can Disney xD

That could work... Until we're excreted of course :p

I guess if you change the splinter to something poisonous, and you enter the body through the mouth instead of by a sryinge into the bloodstream, then it differs enough from Body Wars in a sort of way... Oh wait, just use the plot of the Fantastic Journey (I think that's the movie. Rugrats did an episode parodying the movie when Chuckie ate a watermelon seed). That could work.

Arnold's dream comes true! Ms. Frizzle lets him skip the field trip. What he doesn't know is that HE is the field trip: The Bus takes the rest of the class on a rip-roaring ride through Arnold's digestive system. When they arrive at the large intestine, the kids refuse to finish the trip as waste products. Instead, they exit Arnold by traveling back up his digestive system. With the help of a burp, the class returns, and Arnold's friends give him a trophy for being the best field trip ever!

So there you go, instead of continuing... out.. go up and out really fast! xD

Hah, that could work. Better up than down. Is there a reason why we're going into the body? Maybe it's a special tour. We thought we were going through a cheap replica of the body, but it's all real...

You know you're an imagineering nerd when....
other people are saddened by the amount of tarps (refurb work) going on on Main Street, MK, WDW and you're excited because you hope it means they're cleaning up for the 40th next year :p

"Times up for Ariel's Grotto and Pooh's Playful Spot, they close April 11th. Playful Spot only lasts 4.5 years, a footnote in MK history." - WDW News Today

I haven't been in the Exposition Hall since about 2002ish. All I remember is a mini cinema showing old cartoons, and cutouts you can get your photo taken with...

I'd like to visit the Adventureland Veranda one day.

Didn't they do some work on the Noodle Station in January? I think it was to make the dessert party more viewable, or something.

I think I remember something about that (for the noodle station)...

It's crazy but I'm literally just visitng WDW News Today for like the first time :p

They're also covering the facade change for Pooh. I wonder if WDI still plans on changing the roof of the teacups. I know it was just concept art, but perhaps that could be in Phase II plans... I really love the DLP teacup covering.

I've been on it a few times, mainly when it's linked to on the TPAS board.

Ignoring the security camera (which is what the picture was for), are those arrows the spires just reflections, or actually painted on?

That's weird. I've only just noticed them.

Security camera for security, or filming the construction of the expansion. It is handily pointing towards the area.

Nice new title btw.
