Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

Yeah I gotcha..

What if we kept it simple, the sign on the outside could say Jungle Exploration or Expedition, but can either have ESCAPE painted over it or change into ESCAPE like I mentioned earlier?

I like that name :) it explains that the ride is going to have some action in it, it will be a fast ride (hence the "escape". you cant escape without usually being fast :) ) adn it makes you want to rde the ride, because people will then be curious about what your escaping from, and who will escape? so, yeah, I say stick with that name. :thumbsup2

I think they should plus the Jungle Cruise in WDW. I know it's a classic and all but it has a large amount of potential to become an E ticket ride. It also takes up a fairly large chunk of land in Adventureland.

Really, there isn't much need for the Jungle Cruise anymore now there's a real safari ride in Animal Kingdom.

I found out recently that there are kangaroos in Animal Kingdom! They're on the Discovery Island Trails, which I went through on my last visit and never saw one... Hope they're still there!

That's the one ride I do like the way it is xD

At DL they've done plenty of subtle changes to it over the years but the WDW is my favorite (I know the layout better, etc)

Jungle Cruise is a "ride once a trip" ride for me. It's a classic, but then again, so was 20k and Mr. Toad, and those rides got removed. I'd like to see an update or new attraction.

I disagree.
The Jungle Cruise hasn't been meant to represent a "real" safari for years and years. It's supposed to be almost a satire of safaris.

and totally OT but as I was wiki'ing The Jungle Cruise, look at what I found:
Disneyland Paris is the only Magic Kingdom-style Disney theme park that does not have the Jungle Cruise in its attraction roster, though an indoor jeep ride called Jungle Expedition was originally planned instead.
xD
I've never ever ever read that before, so it's a funny coincidence!

The other day I had a brainstorming explosion :D It was fun. I had a bunch of ideas.
For example bringing New Orleans to the MK but including the Quater, Bayou, and other stuff. Filled with entertainment, a few rides, restaurants, shops and other stuff. And overall changing the geographical look of the western part of the MK. :D

I love the Jungle Cruise to death xD
One of my dreams is to be a skipper, I love the corny jokes, the sets, the queue is amazing...

If there was a bit more room, that's pretty feasible.
I mean TDL has a "NOS" in its Adventureland.

for me it's twice. One during day time and the other during night time. It's almost like a different attraction at night.

LOL! I guess we were on the right track! xD

Princess and the Frog New Orleans, you mean? ;)

Yes, largely based off of that. But in a different way (I know, I don't make much sense)

One movie that I just can't figure out how to retell it's story in the parks is the Lion King. D: All my ideas are boring or cliche. grr

Yeah, I said it was like Indy.

The difference with Indy is you're an actual touring group using the jeeps with Sallah as your guide and Indy has to help save the tourists who screwed up by falling into the curse of Mara in the temple.

This is an abandoned touring office with abandoned jeeps, warnings not to go into the jungle at all, going anyways, being hunted down several times and having to save ourselves.

missed that part :guilty: sorry
But, yeah, thats a good ride idea :) I like it :)
Good job :thumbsup2

Maybe a log flume-ish ride? Different from Splash Mountain though.

The Lion King has had a good run in the parks, we had the Legend of the Lion King, Festival of the Lion King, plus a killer parade or two thrown in there.

I don't know if it's the kind of movie that would make a good retelling... Something inspired by, maybe (like the FoTLK) but not like a dark ride.

you're right. The story is just too big. Know what I mean?

What movie do you all think should be a dark ride? I say Beauty and the Beast. But it would have to be a big dark ride xD

Yeah, I've conceptualized a Beauty and the Beast dark ride before, but like as big/immersive as Pirates, not like the FL dark rides.

The ride car is a Maurice invention, with a stain glass of a character in a window on the front of the vehicle. I decided that whichever character (Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Cogsworth) would narrate the story as you went through.

The queue would be the prequel to the ride, like a stone castle, with the stain glasses from the movie and storybooks explaining the curse and the rose.
