Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I think that I would put a park on discovery island (if I could :sad2:) and make it a park just for the disney tv networks. Maybe they could even add a monorail or (and I'm dreaming) an underwater transport thing. It would be cool but it probably wont happen.

Hey guys :] I was wondering: Are the imagineers in charge of the technical/mechanical parts of the ride/attraction too? I was just curious and I thought you guys might know.

Yep!
Although a lot of it's outsourced nowadays, part of imagineering is developing/creating ride mechanisms/vehicles/effects.

Okay, I'm in love with the TRONorail.

I like the tronorail too. I asked my dad if I could get a light bike :3

Upsetting... it seems they showed WoC to Iger, and he deemed it wasn't modern enough/he hated it, which possibly means they added the Zurg and Pirates scenes, replacing less relevant scenes (Alice, for one).

I hope so much they didn't replace Alice, especially after they made such a big deal about the paper animation.

That's saddening. Why does it have to be modern? The Alice scene looked great from the concept art.

Pirates already wasn't modern enough. Why else is Johnny Depp in the ride now? Well to link the movies to the ride, but still...

Looks like there's no Lion King scene at all in the show, from what we've seen so far.

Let's see, kill them with a sword or a gun?

Or maybe a stampede of elephants.

... they also made the World of Color theme song (Walt Disney's World of Color TV show theme) all pop-ish... booo...

C'mon Iger get it together!

So Pooh's Playful Spot has closed now. So has Ariel's Landing. I wish I went into Pooh's Playful Spot last time I was there, just to look around. I never went in.

If they're building another kids area themed around Winnie the Pooh, I say they add a river that cuts through the area, and a nice bridge. Like this, only with real water (that was in the area btw. It's what made me think of it).

Then we could play Pooh Sticks!
