June 17, 2016 - Magic goes to Norway and Iceland from Dover

This worries me about Copenhagen. We have a 7:00 am flight on 7/1. I was going to rely on a taxi - should I look into something else?

I do not think you will have any issues with a taxi that early. People are not going to the port until many hours after you leave. It was kind of a crazy day for cruises. I think they had five cruise ships in port and I think they normally have four at max. What hotel are you staying at? The Tivoli is only about a block from the train station and the first stop is the airport. Fast and cheap. We may try this this year as our kids are older and better able to help with their luggage.

Yes, the group is closed, but I have extra so I could do an exchange with your family. Anyone else would have to decide if that would work for them as it is quite close to our trip. I would need your cabin # and names and ages of people in your cabin as well as any allergies.

So far, we have two cabins who are able to do an FE with your family. I have posted here for anyone else who might be able to add two families. I have also added to our FE list post where I will add your cabin info when you post it. I am not able to private message you because you are new to the boards.

Hope this helps! :) This really is a lot of fun, especially for the kids!

Wow! Your first Disney Cruise - let the addiction begin!

Hi this is Dana in room 7058. We have some extra gifts and would be happy to add the two families to our list!

We are staying at the Tivoli! That is great information! Thank you so much!

since you have two cabins, you need to decide if you want to do the FE as a family which would require you to bring one gift for the rooms exchanging or if you want to exchange by cabin, you would need to give two gifts to exchanging cabins. Does that make sense? I would suggest that you do it as a family and then only exhange one gift as this is your first time and we are so close to cruising. Let us know.

At this time two of our group have confirmed that they would be able to exchange. It is cabin 2110 and 2604. Keep checking this thread to see who else may be able to exchange with you as well. I will post your info on our FE list which is on page13, post#253. Can I also get you and your husbands names to add as well?

One cabin then. Everyone under 6611. Jake, Tiffany, Cole (7), Zoe (5), Brooklynn (3), Hannah (1) No Allergies

Tivoli Gardens, oh how much fun we had there last year!
Did you pre-purchase your Tivoli Gardens tickets last year? We are planning on going the afternoon/evening of June 29. I went to their website to purchase tickets but wasn't sure what kind of ticket to buy, admission only or unlimited rides included. For June 29 an unlimited ride option is not even offered so I'm not sure if we should just wait to purchase tickets when we get there. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Hey y'all!!! I'm so excited for this cruise. It will be our second Disney Cruise. I'm trying to find out about the fish extenders and if there is a "group" doing it this trip? I have some stuff for or cabin door. I would love to meet others on the cruise. Is this the place or is there another "forum" I should be on? We are doing the Magic Cruise departing Dover, England on the 17th of June.

Thanks for confirming. That will make it easier for everyone. We have added a few more who can add your family to the exchange. I will add a list specific to the late additions on the bottom of our FE list on page 13, post 253. So excited for you all!

If you could add us too that would be awesome! Pretty please. One cabin for us. Todd, Dawn, and Ashley (9) no food allergies

We did prepurchase our tickets last year because we knew exactly which day we would be visitting rain or shine as we only had one full day prior to our cruise. You also get a slight discount by prepurchasing and no line to wait in to buy tickets. Once inside, you use self directed kiosks to get your ride bracelets if you add unlimited rides. We arrived around lunch time, eating lunch in the park at Groften which we loved and are eating at again in a few weeks.
They serve many varieties of the open face sandwiches. We especially loved the shrimp! We ended up staying until they closed at midnight!!! There are quite a variety of rides for all ages, and we rode most of them. A couple were too scary for us. The Magic Trunk was one of our favorites. Sort of like It's a Small World without the music or the water. It is a classic. The Daemon was a scary rollercoaster that our youngest was too small to go on, so we passed. There is a really fun elevated rollercoaster that looked a bit like a train, and they have a hand braked rollercoaster that I think was called the Matterhorn. There is also a yummy fish and chips place near the back of the park in the China area, and a place that has warm, mini donuts with chocolate sauce.

Hope this helps!

HI All- For those new cruisers- I wanted to let you know that if you bring a pillow case, Frame Matting or other flat object that you can write on, you can leave it at the front desk with a list of characters that you want to sign. We did a frame mat last year and it turned out really awesome! We have a family picture from the cruise and it has been our favorite. Leave your cabin number, the object, sharpies and list of characters in a Ziploc bag to keep it clean. You can pick it up a couple of days before you depart.

So sorry to report that this was discontinued last year. Many of us were very disapointed.
