Thanks! I think we are still missing 3 cabin numbers. Hopefully, this means GTY's are finally finishing.I've updated our post with our cabin-- we are in 2604. Not long now!

We aren't staying in Dover so I don't have an answer. Maybe the hotel might have some suggestions? It seems like they should be able to call you a cab, however, I'm not sure I would want that left up in the air without knowing for sure. The July 13th sailing has a thread on this board and the original poster of the thread is from England. He doesn't seem to mind answering questions - try posting on that thread. Sorry for not being much of a help!Does anyone have advice on how we get from our hotel (Premier Inn) in Dover over to the cruise terminal on the 17th? Are there taxi's available or a shuttle service?
Not yet but I think something has changed. I have been checking my reservation DAILY and it usually says OGT to be assigned and today it says nothing. No room number but the OGT language is gone. Fingers crossed I will have it tomorrow. I will post it asap. Looking forward to meeting everyone. We aren't staying in Dover so I don't have an answer. Maybe the hotel might have some suggestions? Separately, I'm doing the FE - have they assigned you a stateroom yet? Sorry to bother you about this.![]()

My kids started going to the Edge at age 10. I had to sign a waiver. It's an option if they want to be together.Hiya! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! We've been booked on the cruise for awhile but I haven't stopped by yet to say HI! I looked through the thread but didn't see anything about a meet up? Are we getting together at all on Embarkation Day?
Our room is 6558 (although I know the FE is closed.) and we are myself (Sarah), DH (Jason), DS (Ian, 12) and DS (Tyler, 10). This is our 5th Disney cruise and our 2nd European one. It is the first time we've sailed with tweens, however, and I'm a bit nervous. We know the Edge has been updated and moved, but our boys have always been together in the Lab since out first cruise. We're a bit nervous about the 10 yr old being on his own, if the older DS wants to go to the Edge, but obviously, we him to feel free to be with older kids. I'd appreciate any experience or advice anyone here might have to give. We've decided to wait until the Open House to book them in. Are the rules still very rigid on what area they are allowed to visit? Thanks in advance.

We are from So Cal and can't wait for this cruise. Happy to hear your plans worked out and you all get to go! We are traveling by train from London to Dover, not overly worried about our luggage. Hope our travels will be ok.Hello! We booked this cruise a few months ago, but about a month and a half later things came up that caused us to reconsider whether or not we would be able to take such a long vacation. Well, I'm glad to say we have decided to go forward with our trip and we will be joining you all! This thread has been very helpful in our planning, so thank you to everyone who's contributed.
We are a family of four, Lily, Gary, Drew (turns 16 the day we set sail!) and Luke (13) coming from California.
Unfortunately, as our planning was put on hold for so long, there are still a couple of things I need to reserve. Is anyone else taking a private vehicle to Dover from London (besides Coastal Cars, they're all booked up)? We have so much luggage I'm worried about taking the train.
We've never been on a "cold" weather cruise and one so long. Any advice on clothes and shoes? Thanks so much!
We are also from So Cal--Valencia to be specific! Where are you from? I think taking the train would be a lot of fun but I'm a chronic over packer (it's an illness) so I'm keeping our travel as simple as possible. We are from So Cal and can't wait for this cruise. My son played in a baseball tournament in your neighborhood last weekend, great area! Several Cali cruisers on our trip!We are also from So Cal... Not far from you... In Moorpark

We are OC (Cypress). Have family in Santa Clarita & Moorpark too I totally understand about over packing, and good luck on that. Maybe we will have the opportunity to meet on the cruise. We are heading out of LAX on the 14th. Safe travels & enjoy the cruise. We are also from So Cal--Valencia to be specific! Where are you from? I've done it 8 times between both my kids. No it was never a problem. I don't expect a high number of kids on this cruise. Our last cruise there were a lot of 10 year olds in the edge. My kids told me parents no longer have to sign a waiver for 10 a year old. I have no idea if that is true. Considering the source I would take it with a grain of salt. I don't think you'll have an issue getting your 10 year old in.Is it easy to get your "under-age" child to the next age group? My daughter is a month from her birthday and would love to be able to join the kids group and stay with her brother and sister.
Thanks! We leave in ten days on the 13th. Hope to run in to you on the cruise. We'll be the family sporting four brand new North Face jackets and Merrell waterproof shoes! Our rooms are assigned! We are in 2518 {Nathan and Georgianna) and 2520 (Blake and Becca}. They are adjoining rooms which I am pretty happy about. We have never had that before.
