Hi! Not sure exactly how to use these boards. We are sailing June 17 from Dover and would love to meet families with kids that are close to our kids' ages. We have a 12 (girl), 10 (girl), 8 (boy). We will be on the 5th floor.

Welcome! We are sailing with our 12 year old son and 6 year old daughter. Have you cruised with Disney before?

Hiya! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! We've been booked on the cruise for awhile but I haven't stopped by yet to say HI! I looked through the thread but didn't see anything about a meet up? Are we getting together at all on Embarkation Day?

Our room is 6558 (although I know the FE is closed. ) and we are myself (Sarah), DH (Jason), DS (Ian, 12) and DS (Tyler, 10). This is our 5th Disney cruise and our 2nd European one. It is the first time we've sailed with tweens, however, and I'm a bit nervous. We know the Edge has been updated and moved, but our boys have always been together in the Lab since out first cruise. We're a bit nervous about the 10 yr old being on his own, if the older DS wants to go to the Edge, but obviously, we him to feel free to be with older kids. I'd appreciate any experience or advice anyone here might have to give. We've decided to wait until the Open House to book them in. Are the rules still very rigid on what area they are allowed to visit? Thanks in advance.

Hello, have been trying to contact you to see if you would like to join our FE with limited cabins. I have PMed you and not been able to get confirmation. We leave in 3 more days to get to Europe for our trip, and I need to have a handle on our FE situation. I know by your post that you knew we were closed, so I hope you understand that we will not be able to add you as I could not get a confirmation and I need to have a complete list for those who are participating.

Good news! We can add you to a limited FE. There are about 8 cabins that have confirmed they can add a family. Please see post 253 on page 13 for our complete list. At the bottom, is the info for the latecomers exchange. I still need your cabin number to add your info. Please get it to me ASAP as we leave in only 3 days and I want to make sure all is handled with the FE.

We are unfortunately not able to add any more families that might join, even though we are on the limited exchange list. We are giving individual gifts and so do not have enough to include everyone in Dizneylover17's family (unless they are happy to receive 2 individual gifts, but we do not have three).

If Dizneylover's family is happy with 2 of the three members receiving gifts we can proceed, but as we had already included the 6 from Momof Four's cabin (we originally thought there were only 5 members, but there appears to be six), we can do it.

Sorry that I always answered so late. Our family has been crazy busy these weeks that we didn't even start packing yet. This is our first Disney Cruise and also the first FE. I hope our newbies' gifts will not underwhelming everybody.

No problem! I am just starting to pack and we leave on Wednesday early morning. Things have been crazy around here, too. Kindergarten graduation, my birthday and the end of seventh grade for my son, in addition to a crazy heat wave here in Oregon. Ha!

So exciting for your first Disney cruise. We had NO IDEA what we were in for with our first one. All good, but crazy none the less! Now we are on number seven with number eight booked for next Spring. Who knew?!?

Remember, the FE is for fun above all else. There are always a variety of gifts received and we so appreciate each and every one. The thought that strangers put into gifts for people they do not know is amazing. It is a special part of our cruises.

We did prepurchase our tickets last year because we knew exactly which day we would be visitting rain or shine as we only had one full day prior to our cruise. You also get a slight discount by prepurchasing and no line to wait in to buy tickets. Once inside, you use self directed kiosks to get your ride bracelets if you add unlimited rides. We arrived around lunch time, eating lunch in the park at Groften which we loved and are eating at again in a few weeks.
They serve many varieties of the open face sandwiches. We especially loved the shrimp! We ended up staying until they closed at midnight!!! There are quite a variety of rides for all ages, and we rode most of them. A couple were too scary for us. The Magic Trunk was one of our favorites. Sort of like It's a Small World without the music or the water. It is a classic. The Daemon was a scary rollercoaster that our youngest was too small to go on, so we passed. There is a really fun elevated rollercoaster that looked a bit like a train, and they have a hand braked rollercoaster that I think was called the Matterhorn. There is also a yummy fish and chips place near the back of the park in the China area, and a place that has warm, mini donuts with chocolate sauce.

Thank you so much! What great advice. I plan on doing everything you did. We are only in Copenhagen one night and really want to visit Tivoli. We have teen boys who will love the scarier rides and I will love the mini donuts! We'll definitely plan on eating at Groften. Sounds yummy.

Thanks so much for your kindness! Everyone has been so helpful with getting information posted so that I could keep track of everything. Can not wait to start our trip on Wednesday and then to board the Magic the following Friday! So excited to hopefully meet many DISers on our 12 day cruise!

Hey y'all!!! I'm so excited for this cruise. It will be our second Disney Cruise. I'm trying to find out about the fish extenders and if there is a "group" doing it this trip? I have some stuff for or cabin door. I would love to meet others on the cruise. Is this the place or is there another "forum" I should be on? We are doing the Magic Cruise departing Dover, England on the 17th of June.
