Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

That was a fun update. I think the food court at CBR looks so cool. It really does look like its outside.

Beautiful shots of the CBR scenery. Fun little playground.

I hope you decided to unpack! I hate living out of suitcases, too.

Never really thought about Monday being a big day for divorce lawyers, but it makes sense. :rotfl:

I can't believe you had gnats in your room. I would've told the front desk if that happened, but you seemed to handle it well on your own. :thumbsup2 The food court looks really cool! It reminds me of the inside of the Mexico pavilion. And that's so awesome your kids got to play on the playground. I think I'm a year old or so than your son and I still do that with my friends. :goodvibes It's just fun to act like a kid again *sigh* Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

The playground looks fun; I know DD and DS would love it and looks like I could climb on a few things too!

I really like when restaurants create the look that you are eating outside, like the food court at CBR does. There is an Italian restaurant in Cape May - you feel like you are in the middle of a piazza in Florence!

Sorry to hear about that Church guy. Hope things are ok for him.

I would've been right there with your kids playing in that playground. In fact, I really want to visit the Boneyard next trip.

Have a fantastic time on your 4th of July trip!

I hope things are getting better for your church counselor. How sad and scary for him to be going through that!

All I can say about the kittens is that is what you get when you tease us about the pregnancy!!! You indeed did end up with new additions to your family. I hope the kittens are all ok! :)

What great photos of the food court and resort. The playground looks really cute and fun!

I hope the counselor at your church is ok.
Have a great 4th of July trip! I've heard that the drive through Tennessee is really nice.
I LOVE your photos from CBR. I really love their food court & gift shop. Thanks for the shot of the turtle! :) You have me seriously reconsidering my November reservation.

Glad to hear that you get to go see Lacey over the weekend! That should be fun!!!

Oh how I miss CBR sometimes! I love walking over the bridge and just enjoying. The playground looks great! My girls would be in heaven.

I've always loved the food court at CBR. We never had any problems finding seating and there is really something for everyone to eat. And, of course, you have to check out the store. It's like a magnet...you can't walk by without being drawn in.

Lisa I think you should put all your TR together and publish a book. I would buy it! Keep up the good work I really feel like I am there with you.

CBR looks so beautiful. I love how at Disney, it's okay for everyone to act like kids. That playground does look like a lot of fun. :goodvibes

It is beautiful. When I look at pictures, I am reminded why we love it so much. The playground was just too tempting for us to pass by.

Oh that's so sweet. I actually started writing a book several years ago but never finished it. :sad2:

I can hardly wait to go see Lacey and Jesse. We haven't seen him since April and I miss him.

The playground was a nice addition to the island.

We've never had any problems finding a seat at the CBR food court either. Yes, it sometimes gets crowded but not so crowded that you can't find a table.

I can not pass by the store at the CBR no matter how many times I've been in there. They may have something that I just have to have. ;)

I hope the counselor at your church is ok.

The counselor is in the hospital and is undergoing an evaluation. They think he may have had some sort of mental breakdown.

I was thinking about you when I took the turtle picture. I'm serious! I was!

Oh gracious! I hadn't thought about the kittens being my punishment for my joke. My Mama always said if you tell a story (she never said the word lie), you'll get sores on your tongue. I guess I shouldn't have told the pregnancy story.

Sorry to hear about that Church guy. Hope things are ok for him.

I haven't heard anything else about the church counselor other than he's in the hospital undergoing evaluations.

I told John that I wanted to go in the boneyard too but I totally forgot about it when we went to the Animal Kingdom.

The playground looks fun; I know DD and DS would love it and looks like I could climb on a few things too!

The playground was really nice and, as you can see, it's very tempting to people of all ages.

I know that some have said they don't like the set-up of the CBR food court but I really like it and the atmosphere.

If we hadn't gotten rid of the gnats so easily, I would have called the front desk and complained.

I hadn't thought about the food court looking like the Mexico pavilion but it kinda sorta does.

Yes!!! I am so excited! 354 more days!!! I can't wait!!!

You are counting down the days just like I am. It can't get here soon enough can it?

I hate living out of suitcases. When I go places, I like to unpack and put those suitcases away.

Monday's are heck for divorce attorneys as are holidays and Summers. There all sort of fussing and fighting going on!

Wow the CBR food court is very cool! It reminds me of CSR a little which is very cool--even with the whole crazy ticket/order thing. It seems the theming has more detail than at POFQ.

I would have joined in with the kids on the playground! Of course I also went down the waterslides last year too! The slide at POFQ is super lame unless yhou are under 5 yrs old so I didn't waste my time this year!! :lmao:

It is a neat food court. I like being able to walk from one station to the next. Everybody in the family can find something they like. One of the main reasons we haven't tried CSR is because I would not want the hassle of the ticket/order thing. I want to get my stuff, find a table and sit down.

I have looked at pictures of the POFQ slide and it does look a bit lame.

I will admit, even though CBR isn't my favorite resort, their food court does have a fun theme! Your pictures of the resort in the evening are lovely! It looks like you guys had a great time wandering around and playing on jungle gyms!

One of my favorite things to do (when we aren't busy rushing from park to park) is to wander around the resort.

Hi Lisa! CBR food court.....:lovestruc Love it!!! The food, the decor, the atmosphere, etc. I just love CBR in general!! As for the playground, I would have been playing on it too (if no kids there)!!!! ;)

If I hadn't been busy taking pictures and talking to Mama, I'd have been on the playground myself. They had all sorts of things to climb on and bells to ring.

I like the way the food court looks! I think Disney is so right on when they do themeing for their resorts.
My Samantha is less then 25 days from 18yrs old and she went down a slide 2 days ago and burnt her behind. She said she just wanted to play too! I guess you don't grow out of playfrounds too fast:lmao:

Isn't it neat how Disney carries out there themes everywhere. Ohhhh, poor Samantha! Do you remember the old America's Funniest Home Video video where the little girl fell down and then asked "do you want to kiss my butt?" That's what I thought of when you said Sam burnt her behind.

The food court looks so neat!

My kids will love that playground! I'm right there with ya, I'd be playing too! :thumbsup2

The food court does have a neat atmosphere.

So sorry about the prayer counselor. Hate to say this, but depending on his age it sounds like alzheimer's. My grandmother was diagnosed with it around 60 and she would have the same issues at the beginning. I am currently running races with the Alzheimer's Association to raise money for a cure.

The weekend trip sounds fantastic! It will be nice for the family to see where Lacy's new home is. You all must be getting so excited with the wedding just around the corner!

He's in his early 40s and, from what I have heard (which is not always the right info after it's gone from mouth to mouth to mouth), he is undergoing a complete evaluation....both mental and physical.

My grandmother had Alzheimer's too and it is absolutely horrible as you know. Good for you raising money for a cure!

First of all, I hope everything winds up okay with your song leader at church. Sometimes dehydration or other things can cause the confusion so I hope it is something simple like that. Prayers heading his way.

Yay for a trip to Tennessee! I understand the itch to travel. I love going places and doing things outside the normal routine to break up the monotony of everyday life.

I understand the kitten issue too well. We have fostered over 200 kittens in the past 3 years, many were found or dropped off on our doorstep. It is difficult to say goodbye, but it is wonderful to know that they will bring such happiness to a family. I'm sure everything will work out well for the 2 you found.

Thank you for the prayers!

I am ready to hit the road to Tennessee. It's been almost a whole month since we've been back from Disney. I'd say that's way too long of a time to sit still at home.;)

I am probably going to give away the little girl. My boss' daughter has expressed an interest in her. If she took her, then I'd still get to see her everyday since my boss' mother lives right next door to our office.

Hi Lisa! Hope you have fun on your trip!!!! I'm sure you will enjoy getting to see Lacey's apartment! Lots of thoughts and prayers for your church counselor! :grouphug:

Lacey is so excited that we are coming to see their apartment. Hopefully, we'll have time to get in a bit of sight seeing too.

Thank you for the prayers for our church counselor.

Have a safe & fun trip! Hope the moving goes smoothly. I will keep him in my thoughts, I hope he regians his memory soon!

I appreciate the prayers for our counselor. He has been a pillar of strength for many at our church and now he needs us.

I will definitely be sending good thoughts to your church counselor. I hope he is feeling better soon!

Have a great time on your road trip!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! The counselor has family up North and I think his mother and sister are supposed to be here this weekend. I am sure that will help him out immensely.

Thoughts & prayers for you church member. How sad and scary.

Sounds like a fun 4th of July trip. We'll be having a 3 year olds b-day party at our house this weekend. I trip to TN sounds a lot more relaxing lol.

I am so glad that the song leader went to check on the counselor when he did.

Is the 3 yr old's party just for family or will there be lots of other 3 year old's there?

Glad to see you have a ticker!! I followed your last TR and was so sad when you had to cancel the trip for this summer! I know how much you wanted to take your kids back! :goodvibes

I am so jealous you will be in Knoxville!! We have been trying to plan little trips too. I have to book a hotel for New Orleans today and we are trying to find a beach local. Plus our annual Thanksgivign trip to Gatlinburg...those little trips help me make it through the sumemr doldrums! Keith even mentioned an "Epcot" trip last night which made me do two things: :scared1: and :yay: I think I need to pursue that one! ;)

CSR is spread out and I thought CBR's layout looked similar. I think the lack of shade added to the vastness to making it not tops on Keith's list. CBR looks like it may be shaded a little more(?).

At first, John thought I was nuts when I suggested we go to Knoxville this weekend. Then, his dad mode kicked in and he needed to see where his little girl was going to be living.

We may go to Gatlinburg Sunday. Do you have any suggestions on things to do during a one day trip?

There's tons of shady places at the CBR and that's part of what we like about it. Maybe you should show Keith my pictures so he can have a look see.

Joining in the TR late! I have been reading along, but have not had time to post. I see you are coming to my wonderful city this weekend. It is supposed to be nice. I hope you enjoy it! I hope Lacey enjoys living here. It is a really family-oriented place. That is one of the reasons I moved here. We are probably heading to Pigeon Forge this weekend too. We have season passes to Dollywood and we are going to take our little ones this weekend.

It's never too late to join in! I am bad about reading somebody's trip report and forgetting to post.

Do you have any suggestions on things to see and do while in Knoxville? We may go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge on Sunday but, if not, we may stick around Knoxville.

I loved your previous trip report!! I look forward to hearing all about this trip, now to get all caught up...

Thank you so much for joining in!

Hooray - a road trip for the McBride's! :yay: I am so glad Mama will be going with you so she can see where Lacey and Jesse will be living - I hope it helps her from worrying, but from your previous description of her, she seems to worry no matter what (can't say I'm not a worry wart though).

I will definitely keep the counseler from your church in my prayers.

Have fun planning your trip - can't wait to hear about that too! :)

Yes, my mother is definitely a worry wart and it will do her good to see where Lacey and Jesse are going to live. I have to admit that I am excited about seeing it too.

Thank so much for the prayers. Hopefully, we'll hear something about the church counselor soon.

Enjoy the road trip! Keeping your friend in my prayers.

Thank you....for both the prayers and "enjoy the road trip" comment.

Love the report so far:thumbsup2

Thank you so much! I hope that you'll stick around and feel free to post your thoughts at any time.

Whew! I think I responded to all of your posts. If I missed somebody, please know that I didn't do it on purfus (yes I know that's not a word but that's what Hunter used to say instead of purpose :lmao:). John sent a text this morning about 10:00 saying he does not have to work this weekend or on the 4th. That means our Tennessee trip is still on. I've never been to the Knoxville area and am looking forward to it.

We bought our freezer last night and got a great deal. We used to have a small fridge on our back porch....right beside our torn up one legged couch and broken washing machine....just kidding....we ain't that redneck/backwoods. :rotfl: Anyway, we used to have a small fridge on our back porch that we kept cold drinks and water in during the Summer months when we are constantly outside swimming or doing yard work. I also stored our overflow of freezer items in the outside fridge. John noticed over the last few months that it didn't seem to be cooling/freezing very well. We decided to do away with the fridge and buy a small chest freezer to put in our utility room. If our garden does well, I'll need extra freezer space anyway.

The two kittens are getting a little meat on their bones. Poor things were skinny little fuzz balls when they showed up on our doorstep. Oddball (our dog) doesn't know if he likes them or not. He's sniffed around them and even growled at them a time or two. The kittens, on the other hand, know for a fact that they don't like Oddball. They hiss and growl at him every time he comes around.

It's going to be hard to give the little girl kitten away but I think that's what I'm going to have to do. I'm thinking that my boss' mother may want her. That would be a good thing because my boss' mother lives in the same building as our office and I could visit with the kitty any time I wanted to.

On the Disney planning front: John's brother and his wife went to Disney in 2008 and every since, my sister-in-law and their kids have been begging to go back. John's brother is a tight wad to the max and doesn't want to let go of those dollars to book another trip. I emailed my sister-in-law a few days ago and told them that they are more than welcome to join us in May, 2012. She said definitely wanted to go but she'd have to work on her hubby. I told her to do a lot of sucking up and let me know. They probably wouldn't stay as long as we are planning on staying and they may stay at a value resort but she wants the trips to overlapse at least for three or four days (if not longer). I hope that she can talk John's brother into going. I think we'd have a great time together.

Oh well, I'm off to do some last minute things. My boss has quite a few appointments tomorrow so I think I may be able to post a Disney installment while he's busy.

Hope ya'll have a good evening!

Whew! I think

That would be fun. I'm always trying to get some family members to hitch along with us, but so far none of them knowthe awesomeness of Disney!
I think I maybe rubbing off on a friend though. I showed her my TR, I just updated with the M & G with Rapunzel & Flynn Ryder, and she wishes her girls could do it.
I think her DH a little tight as well.:rolleyes1

Let's see... There are a ton of things to do in Knoxville and the surrounding area. Some examples are the Knoxville Zoo, Market Square in downtown Knoxville, World's Fair Park. In Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, there is Cade's Cove (a great loop that you can drive or walk that has a lot of wildlife and scenery), short hikes to waterfalls, Nascar speedpark, Dollywood, Dollywood Splash Country, Titanic museum, Wonderworks, etc. The list goes on it that area. I hope you have a great time!!!
