Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

I am so glad that the song leader went to check on the counselor when he did.

Is the 3 yr old's party just for family or will there be lots of other 3 year old's there?

It's just family. They live 2 hours away I think one set of their friends is going to drive up with her 2 girls but other than that it's family. It will still be about 40+ people all together. I know it will be fun, but you know how it is you stress about getting your house clean and this and that when you have a large group coming. lol At least it's disney themed with Tinkerbell :)

joining in. A little late. Luvin all the pics so far though

I'mn so happy you get to get a weekend get away!

Loved the update. I can;t wait to see and tour CBR in August. Your pictures really make me want to see it even more.

I hope you are as impressed with the CBR as we are. It's such a pretty resort.

Welcome! It's never ever too late to jion in on my trip repors!

Thank you for the turtle picture!! :thumbsup2 You know how much I love them.

I do know how much you love them. I think I took another picture a few days later but I don't see it on photobucket right now.

Goodness gracious! 40+ people is a lot of folks. But, at least it is family that's coming so if you don't get all the cleaning done then they can overlook it. At least that's what I always tell myself. ;)

Let's see... There are a ton of things to do in Knoxville and the surrounding area. Some examples are the Knoxville Zoo, Market Square in downtown Knoxville, World's Fair Park. In Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, there is Cade's Cove (a great loop that you can drive or walk that has a lot of wildlife and scenery), short hikes to waterfalls, Nascar speedpark, Dollywood, Dollywood Splash Country, Titanic museum, Wonderworks, etc. The list goes on it that area. I hope you have a great time!!!

Oooh, thanks for the information. I hope that we have enough time to see the sights. We've been to Dollywood so I'm thinking we'll do something else. Is Cade's Cove very far from Knoxville?

YAY! I love reading your trip reports! popcorn::

Thank you so much! I hope that this one is as good as my previous reports.

That would be fun. I'm always trying to get some family members to hitch along with us, but so far none of them knowthe awesomeness of Disney!
I think I maybe rubbing off on a friend though. I showed her my TR, I just updated with the M & G with Rapunzel & Flynn Ryder, and she wishes her girls could do it.
I think her DH a little tight as well.:rolleyes1

My sister in law and the kids loved Disney World when they went. My brother in law....not so much. Like I said, he's a tight wad and doesn't like crowds either. He gets turned around easily and got lost at Pop Century a couple of times during their week long stay.:sad2:

All caught up! Great report again.

Love all the pics of the resort. The food court area looks so neat.

It's so nice that you'll get to spend this weekend with your daughter and Jesse.

Gnats are so much better than bed bugs.

Glad you aren't pregnant;)

Maybe our sister in law could go with the kids and leqve her husband home if he doesn't appreciate WDW like we all do.

Lisa, have a great time on your trip. It is always so nice to see where your loved ones live so you can "picture" them during the day. :goodvibes

Cade's Cove is around Gatlinburg in the Great Smoky Mts National Park. The drive is not that bad. It is one of the most popular things to check out in the park. Have a safe trip! It is supposed to be in the low 90s and sunny here.

Lisa, the new playground at CBR looks really cute. And you are never TOO old to play in a playground.

Hope you have safe travels to Knoxville, and a good visit with Lacey and Jesse.

I think I will show Keith those pictures so he can see how shaded it looks!

That would be fun if your family is able to join you for part of your trip!!

Have a great trip and I PM'd you on some things to avoid hijacking your TR! I get a littel long winded!! :rolleyes1

Loving the TR. Posted a few times but I don't think they made it through? Good news today we finally have our trip for this year finalized. See ticker below. Had a huge project at work last month and into July that is giving as much overtime as we can handle. Will have the trip paid off in another week!!!!!!!!

Hey Lisa,
Just wanted to pop in to to wish ya'll safe travels! :car: Have fun with Lacey and Jesse and I hope you make it to Cades's Cove - it's beautiful!

:flower1:

Wow, better late than never I guess! I started a new job right after you got back and just now found your TR. It's funny because the day you left I was thinking, I wish they'd hurry up and get back so Lisa can start her TR!! :rotfl: As you know, some of us live vicariously through you! :surfweb: :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more!

Have a safe and happy 4th and enjoy your trip! I know you'll do a mini review of it, so I'm glad to trip along with you from my couch!

Good morning all!

It's another typical Friday here at the office and, of course, I have three, count 'em three, deadlines on my desk that are staring me in the face. Deadlines be damned! I've decided I'm taking a smoke break. I don't actually smoke but by Federal law I'm entitled to a 15 minute break this morning...so there!

Why is it that bosses wait until the last minute to put things on your desk when they've known for at least a week that today's the deadline to get things done? Ticks me off to no end! :headache:

Oh well, ain't nothin' I can do about it but get 'er done. :surfweb:

IF (and that's a big IF) I get a chance, I'll post replies but I can't promise that I will since I can almost feel the deadlines' fire breathing down my neck. :scared:

We're headed off to Knoxville, Tennessee as soon as John gets home from work and takes a shower. Ya'll know me, I'll be taking pictures all along the way and throughout our stay so I can come back and write a little trip report about our visit.

I hope that you all have a wonderful and safe Independence Day!

Forgot to add that I'm pretty sure my brother in law and his family will be going to Disney with us. John and Hunter went to get their hair cut yesterday (his brother is a barber) and he said that it looked like he had no choice but to agree to the trip. No details are worked out yet but I'm fairly sure they won't stay as long as we will and may even stay in a value resort. We'll have to talk more and make plans.

Oh and something else I forgot. I think we are going to journey off property this year and visit Islands of Adventure for a day. We haven't been to Universal since Hunter was three and he's wanting to go back. I'll have to do lots of research if we do decide to go.

Okay, I've put the deadlines off as long as I can.

Have a great weekend! Hope you like Lacey's apartment. We are off to the beach in Maine for a week:banana: Then it will be full out Disney planning for our Jan. trip!

Hi Lisa! Have a great trip! Safe travels to you all!!

Definitely worth checking out Islands of Adventure! I was there in 2008. I have a few favorites: the Incredible Hulk Coaster, the Spider Man ride (3D, so cool!), Dudly Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls (you will get WET!), Jurassic Park River Adventure...to name just a few!! Of course the original Universal Theme Park is also great! If you get a chance to go there my a few of my favs are: Revenge of the Mummy (best ride I have EVER been on!), got to love ET!!, Twister is kinda neat, Men In Black (3D), I would also love to check out the new Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (wasn't there when I was there). Whatever you choose to do it will be fun!!! Of course it still doesn't compare to DISNEY!!!!! Can anything ever compare to Disney?! ;) Well, have a fun trip!!!
