It is supposed to be a hoot...I bet your family would love it! And the boat to DTD is a huge plus since you were planning on going there anyway. I was happy with the price. I had it in my mind that I was going to pay a certain amount of money and I was able to stay within my budget.

The code offer for French Quarter wasn't as good as Riverside so I didn't even ask if they could get a room for me there.

Hi Lisa!!! That is such awesome news!!!! I always said if there was such a time that I would try another mod besides CBR it would be Port Orleans Riverside!!!! It does seem like a very nice resort! DH and I took a horse & carriage ride there on our honeymoon! So we did get to see a lot of the grounds. It was very nice. I am sure you won't be disappointed! Hope you can keep it a surprise!!! That will be hard to do though! LOL!

That is very exciting! I love POR, it is my second favorite Mod (Coronado is my favorite). You were able to keep the Pop upgrade to CBR once if I remember correctly. I bet you can keep this surprise too!

I'm with you on the Barfarama. I work for a Japanese owned company and we have quite a few japanese men who work there. Any time they go back to Japan they bring things back with them. (I believe it is expected of them.) I have learned they can either be good or . We usually wait for someone else to try it to tell us what it is. And if we can avoid eating it we do....

Just have to be careful in how we do it. We don't want to be disrespectful.

I promise, you will love POR! You can even take another surrey bike ride if you are so inclined! LOL The boat ride to DTD is lovely. Bob's show started at 8 when we were there and he played til midnight. If you can, catch his show. He really is something else. Try to get a nice walk in the morning around the resort. It is a beautiful walk around the path down to French Quarter and around.

I decided I needed a Disney diversion! So lying here, resting away, I find myself very jealous that you get to stay at POR!! You know we love it....especially Keith! The boat to DTD is awesome and honestly, I did not find much difference convenience wise between POR/POFQ--not enough to really matter. I could do either resort. I am glad that all worked out for you. After staying at All-Star Sports, POR blows it away!

Now, I just hope to stay at CBR sometime and see what you rave about. I am crossing my fingers for a birthday trip in October now.

I just couldn't do it last year because we had to cancel our WDW plans. It was too painful to read since we usually go around the same time.

We are booked for Coronado Springs May 26-June 2 this year and we are beyond excited!!! So i am happily enjoying catching up on all the fun you guys have!

The prices are outrageous at times! I know that, at one point, the castmember got a bit miffed at me because I wouldn't book but I wasn't going to pay almost double what I was paying at ASMu.

You've got a great memory....we did keep a surprise from the kids that we modified from Pop to CBR. I'm hoping I can keep my yap shut until we get to Disney World.

I pretty much knew that we wouldn't be going back to a value in the future unless that was the only way we could go. But, we might try another moderate in the future. So, why not book one of them and give it a look-see.

I'm glad to see you posting and can understand why you needed a diversion. The boat to DTD and the breakfast food options were the deciding factor for me.

The first two castmembers could never understand why the figures they were giving me were higher than those I looked at onliine. They, simply, didn't get the Disney Math. Thankfully, castmember number three was the bombdiddy and was able to get a good rate for me.

We stayed in the Magnolia bend section (Magnolia Terrace) and it is really pretty there. They also have a Horse and carriage ride that is really nice, it takes you all over both PO resorts.

I need to head over to the POR board and do more research. I'd like to get one of the new refurbed rooms if I can.

I'm hoping to write an installment up while the boss has a client with him but he just gave me a full tape of billing dictation so I have to get started on it as well. I'm betting I can get a little something posted today though.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share the pictures I took of my pick a pearl pendants. I never knew how hard it was to take pictures of pearl pendants. If you use a flash, they looked washed out. If you don't use a flash, you can see how pretty they are. Oh well, I did the best I could. I took them on two different surfaces and neither one came out well.

The setting on the left is a swirl cage. I don't know how they got the pearl into the cage because it is solid. The middle pearl is a very simple setting. There's a small cz at the top and they drilled a small hole in the pearl glued it to the cz and post. The last one is the most recent purchase. The pearl was large so I had to pick a setting that would hold the pearl. All are made of sterling silver.
