My son moved about 8 hours away after college. Then moved back for a few months. Then 2 hours away. Then back for a few months saving for a home. Now happy and settled about 30 minutes from us.
Life will be full of difficult transitions. For me, having them leave the nest has been the hardest. But it’s a critical phase for them, and a chance to be oh so proud.
