got to the gym early and ended up doing extra on the treadmill using incline interval with the usual strength exercises. Feel tired but good. 75 minutes of exercise today which is long for me, but I liked it.

Okay I came back but realllllllllly loved the beach, cool 60 degrees, hardly anyone on the beach. I walked for 90 mins and was able to find several unbroken sand dollars. 2 of them really small, dime sized.
Then I sat in my beach chair with my jacket on and read a book to the sounds of the ocean for a few hours before I reluctantly packed up and came home.
Sore as heck from yesterday's new workout for the week, but felt good once I got warmed up so went for 65 minutes total. 10 minute warmup on treadmill; 15 minutes strength with weights, which is less time than usual but I just couldn't do as many reps and/or sets depending on the exercise. Probably progressed to the point now where I need a rest day from weights, so I'll go every other day with those; 20 minutes with incline intervals on some machine I just decided to try- step machine I think. (Thought it was an ellipitical without the arms then realized it's a different movement with the legs/feet.) Anyway, I liked it and it was challenging. Was going to just warm down but because I was feeling good did another 16 minutes on the treadmill at 3.0 speed and intervals of incline 3 then to 15, each on 2 minute cycles with a 6 minute cool down.
A few hours have passed and I do feel sore so I am headed to do some light stretching before I sleep.
