Thank you for all your help, I knew i really loved this place. Honestly, since this is our first cruise I have been so nervous and excited that I can start cying at any moment. Happy tears of course

Of course - the US Passport agency isn't helping. Friday it read this:

You requested delivery by regular mail. Passport Agencies use Priority Mail. This means you should receive your passport on or about 03/12/2007.

And of course it now reads:

I'm starting to think that they will never mail those passports. I got mine 2 years ago for a business trip, and we thought applying in january was safe for the boys.

As for Pirate night, I think we will go simple, maybe some pirate shirts and black bermuda shorts or capris. We are taking British Airways, and they have some tight luggage restrictions.

Also, when are you getting in? And where are you flying to London then Barcelona or something else?

Our group will be getting in around the 26th from BA London to Barcelona - DH gets airsick so must take the most direct flight possible. He's usually toast for the first 24 hrs during and after. Oh well, I'll leave him in the hotel room and take off with the kids for sightseeing - he's not much fun anyway! LOL - nice to hear others are nervous too.

Ok, Ok,........so much to address..........

First of all, I AM THE WORST PACKER IN THE WORLD.......I always bring too much on trips.........ask my family............. I will really have to control myself this time..............

Secondly, I have this many Crocs.............
Black, Navy Blue, Pink, Disney Red, Disney Black, Flip Flop Pink and Green....I wear them all, they are great! I have no idea how I'm going to decide which ones to pack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have bought a few Med Cruise books b/c I can't decide about the excursions.............I just read "Insight Cruises: Mediterranean Cruises...Discovery Channel..." Great book, great pics and I feel like I have a much better idea about all the ports.............with this cruise I want to plan carefully so I know when to splurge and when to chill!

Hi! Ironically we are watching Posiedon right now. Good thing i know how it ends.

We are arriving on the 27th, just one day prior, then leaving one day after. None of the flights on BA back to the US seemed to be safe. I have heard too many stories about people missing their flights. And, a friend told me that in Europe people arrive at the airport 3 hours early. He arrived at the airport 2 hours early and was the last one to check in for his flight. So, gameboys, psp's, and the like are all getting packed.

We fly SFO to Heathrow to BCN. And all I can say - buy those space bags that you can roll the air out of. They really come in handy.

Hi, I think I can help with most of your questions.

We are at the same hotel you are, but we are 2 nights post cruise. I researched online and for the small savings to book on my own...I descided to stay with Disney. They will have tables set up in each hotel that will help with questoins...problems....I just decided this is best for my family.

My TA said YES you can book your own hotel and still use Disney Transportation. As a matter of fact my DS18 is doing that. We have no hotel room booked on his stateroom, but he will get the transfer.

I am a little confused.....you say the transfer is 84 is that DVC points? We paid $59 for the transfer which is 3 trips ... from the airport to the ship.....from the ship to the hotel.....from the hotel back to the airport....

I don't think I can save much $$$$ over that.

I am getting a little nervous about passports as well. WE applied on FEB 14th for 3 passports (Me and 2 DD) My DH and DS already have them. The checks cashed yesterday. I looked online at my bank statement. So I thought, I will go online to the State Dept Website and see if it gives me a date. When I searched it said "NO APPLICATION FOUND" haven't decided it I should FREAKOUT or not yet

I called a little while ago on the books and they said the first of March. I don't understand because I know some have gotten them. I went to www.passporter.com and bought the newest edition, which includes a lot about the MED. They gave me a download for the MED part of the book. If ANYONE wants me to e-mail it to them, send me a PM. It is about 100 pages long and really very good.

We fly in the day of and out 2 days later....please pray for us......

If there are 4 of you.....then they HAVE to give you a room for 4....one twin will come out of the ceiling....and the couch "rolls over". You can alwasy call the 800 # on the www.disneycruise.com and ask...they will assure you right away.

When I called DVC (who in turn called DCL) they said Airport -> Hotel -> Port, Port -> Hotel -> Airport was $84. If you are not doing all those connections, it gets lower. I understand that the distance from the airport to the hotel, and then to the port is not all that far. But I agree that it seems safer, easier, and less stress to just pay the $84.

As for your passport. I know the on-line checking site says it will appear in x days. But our didn't show on their site for an extra week. But, once again they have changed our expected date. Originally it was to be 3/1. It has been moved so many times it is now 3/15. I will certainly post as soon as they get here.

We did get our books and there was a lot of info that i already got online. And some great tips that I hadn't thought of. I've been reading the 'things they don't tell you thread.' I love the ideas.

My pack arrived today too. I'm doing lots of reading and I'm very undecided about port excursions, there seems so much to do,we want to see things but I'm aware it will be hot and I'm determined to rest as well.
I think we will do DCL boat trip in Palermo, do it ourself to Capri in Naples, Private guide in Rome, Do it ourselves Cinque Terre in La Spezia, Private tour Villefranche, DCL excursion Sardinia, Marseilles want to see the Calanques not sure whether to do it by ourselves or DCL

I cannot understand why the times weren't in the booklet that they sent out. I appreciate the nice package, but when will the times be available for the excursions. They must have that worked out by now.
