The Magic had a virus outbreak years ago and they have increased their use of hand wipes, etc.. The ship was always very clean but now it's just better! I think there's always a fear of these outbreaks in the winter months but I don't let it stop me!

I can't believe I got the pirate, I had posted too early and got the 6999 post so I thought I had no chance.........miracles do happen!pirate: Always fun chatting.......now back to work!!:teacher:

Please look for yourself in the list below - if you do not have a tagline listed, it is because you need to post so i can see it. Or, pm me with it. Also, there are many listed below that have only posted once or twice, and may not be on our cruise. If they don't speak up now, I will not include them. If we want to put this into a design, which is doable, I need to know who all to include. I also need to know which is your favorite. Once I have the master list, I will start putting it into a shape. I hope to use something cute, like a mickey head shape inbetween each one. I will save it as a word doc, and try to post it. then we can either have someone commision this, or we can each print it out ourselves and use iron-ons.

Also - if you have been tagged since this list was created, please let me know, I will update you in the list.

Does "earning my ears" count?
If so DH will be impressed- it's a long time since I earned anything

Maybe we could start an Adopt a Tag scheme for those sadly lacking.....??
Bit like sponsoring an animal at the zoo, but funnier and less cash involved?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Helen.........when you come back, did you start that thread about the deck party at the same time as casino night??:confused3

[
Why do you think formal night is right at the beginning?
:lmao: :lmao:

I never thought of that!!:rotfl2:

Hi Sandra-
I'm still working my way thru back log of posts :surfweb:

A little while ago you mentioned new wines on board- if you already posted the list then I'll find it eventually, but if not, I'd be grateful for it when you have time. Many thanks:flower3:

Has anyone seen any blogs for the current group of med goers? I have one for http://www.disneyinthemed.blogspot.com/

They didn't have a great first evening. We also have late dinner - my kids are old enough for it. I think it is the right choice for us. But, then, reading this, I am a bit worried - I guess it'll all work out. Won't kill me to miss a meal or 20 or 50 . . . ok, or 100 . . .

This DIS had good reviews for the Marseilles soap factory excursions:cool1:
I'm on that excursion, so I'm very happy to hear that.

Marseille soap tour was awesome! yes we were able to purchase from the factory - they only take cash and only Euros - be ready for that.

I found the soap to be wonderful, the scents were very true, and the process was really interesting to learn.

The excursion lasted only 4 hours - we were given about an hour of free time to wander the market at the old port. After we retuned to the ship - we actually went back into town to wander some more.

This is a DO!!

Kidcoos 3,
Where is Bozeman MT? I visit relatives in BC Canada and we go to a Quilt Show in Kalispel (sp) MT. Is that close? I know it's a very large state but I was just wondering?
Sandra

We've only been in Bozeman for 2 years - it is considered SW Montana - we are an hour or so from Yellowstone - Kalispell is about 4 1/2 hours away (north) - it is beautiful there! We have a really fun quilt show in Bozeman, here is a link: http://www.quiltinginthecountry.com/qicshow.html - too far for you to take a quick trip down, but the pictures are great. I live right in the hills that are in the 3rd picture - driving down the road and seeing all the quilts hung is just amazing!!

I think that my son and I had it back in Jan or Feb - it wasn't a diagnosed case - but sure fit all the symptoms. It was by far the sickest I have ever felt - tummy wise. The cramps were horrible. Everytime I started to feel a bit better and tried to eat crackers or something, it would start up again - it was not a pretty site!!

I'm sorry about that. It sounds dreadful. How do you keep from getting it? I know you have to be very careful to wash your hands and be very careful to not touch anything. Is there any other way to avoid it?

S[/quote]

Being a mom it is hard to avoid. My son was sick and I took care of him, it's what we do, right? I was careful to wash my hands etc. but he may have been contagious before he even got sick. No one else got it. I think that by washing your hands and using sanitizer on the boat constantly, we'll all be fine.

I was on the Magic a few weeks after an outbreak. We were watching the situation very closely. When the first outbreak was reported the ship did some extra cleaning but the next cruise there was another outbreak. So DCL docked the Magic for 3 days to do cleaning. After that, there didn't seem to be any more problems that we were aware of. When we arrived just a couple of weeks later, DCL had signs up everywhere at checkin stating that if you are currently sick, please do not board the ship. Once on ship, they would not let anyone touch any utensil at the buffet line. They had servers that manned the buffet line so that the only thing you touched was your own plate. At dinner, they did not put out salt and pepper shakers and I think spoons. Not sure why the spoons. Anyway, towards the end of the cruise, everything relaxed, the servers went away. I guess they figured the risk was minimal by then.

Lanyard Design Options (by formerCPer)
37762Lanyard-Designs3.jpg

Design E is the Winner!

It comes with a badge holder: http://www.kennyproducts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=KPI&Product_Code=372
To add a badge reel http://www.kennyproducts.com/Mercha...en=PROD&Store_Code=KPI&Product_Code=425-blank, will be another $1 per badge reel.
I was thinking of ordering once I get everyone's payment and bringing them to Barcelona or the DIS meetup to pass out.

I posted this on the previous page, but in case you haven't seen. Some people were confused on how things attach together. Hopefully, this will clear it up:
113321pic1-thumb.jpg
Here is the lanyard with the badge holder (except ours will be vertical)
113321424_front-thumb.jpg
Here is the lanyard with badge reel (except ours will come as two pieces: a lanyard with J hook (as shown in the above pic). Each badge reels has a belt clip in back. The J hook hooks on the belt clip of the badge reel. See the little tab on the badge reel? That will snap onto the top of the badge holder. The badge holder will hold your Key to the World card. The badge reel is not heavy duty. It is a light string and is made to hold the weight of your badge holder.

THey are not divided by Disney. I just had separate lists for the ones we have and the ones we don't have yet. So we have prices for some and not the others.

I'm not sure if these wines are on the Disney Wine Packages.

Summer: May to September
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 20:00 to 00:00 h
Shows with music at: 21:30, 22:00, 22:30, 23:00 and 23:30h

How about we meet at the fountain for the 22:30 - this would be a show with music. It would also be dark then for the lights. Then those who want can meet up beforehand and have a meal @ the 4 cats. ( 8pm) This is just a suggestion. I would be happy to organise the meal.

We could meet at the towers around 22:15 ready for the show.
I am going away on holiday tomorrow and wont be back until Sunday3rd June ( Stop jumping up and down joann !)

I really dont know how Im going to cope without my computer -Im treating it as kind of therapy.

If this plan is acceptable and you want to meet up then, let me know - For those who want to eat @ the 4cats send me a PM telling how many is in your group. When I get everyones reply I will email them and see about getting a reservation.

Count for dinner
Me x2
MaryJo x3
MrsG x2
Sallie x2
Kyla x4
formercper x4
(possibly Andrew x4 depending upon chn)

I will email the restaurant on Thurs 14th June so if anyone else wants to join us just PM before then ;)

HI Helen- as long as we are awake and not exhuasted from our day and night in Paris, there will be 3 of us for dinner- I think I read you list wrong- I thought you had me plus two more, but I realized you only have me down for 2. My daughter will be with us. Thanks:)

I am so confused :confused3 I thought the list you sent me was the Disney Wine Packages? What is it then? Didn't someone's husband buy them the wines from the Disney package to try before the cruise? Was that you or someone else?

Has anyone else seen FormerCPer's new tag - tee hee hee:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi all!! I'm new over here on this board. I'm normally just on the Weddings board but I thought I'd come over and say Hello since I will be traveling on the 11-night cruise on July 28. This is my first Disney cruise so I'm really looking forward to it!!

Any "must sees" or tips for my first Disney cruise?? :)

Hi Marcy and Carol- Welcome! :)

Now I got chatting to this Princess Aurora, it seems...( highlight to read- some loss of Magic coming, kids do not read). She lost it a bit and when I said where I was from she said she knew it so well, and I found out, she was a local girl to me!!!- SHE REMEMBERED QUICKLY that actually she is a princess and couldnt have been from my local town!Highlight text to read.

No princesses in your town??princess:

( Im a bit excited as I'm picking up my new car tomorrow:goodvibes )

Cool, congratulations! :car:

I understand that the London production had some troubles at first where they actually cast Eliza Doolittle in the Producers (Nathan Lane) part. They had already printed up the revised cast album before someone got wise. Fortunately, I was able to get a copy. Some of the songs include:

Why can't the English, learn to act?
Wouldn't it be Broadaway
I'm an ordinary man (the unemployed actor song)
Just you wait (for cheap tickets, just you wait)
My pain's a Sprain
They made me dance all night
Ascot Gavotte (what the ?*@$# is a Gavotte)
On the Street Where you Sleep
The Embassy Parking Ticket Waltz
He did it!
Show me (no me! no me! ok, show him...)

I expect it will pull a nice bid on Ebay...

:rotfl:

My DD17 is a fine "football" player.......she is currently trying to find a good SOCCER university for two years from now!!! She's in a big college showcase :cool1: tournament (match) this weekend!

Good luck to your DD for this weekend :thumbsup2
Our DD is also a soccer player and planning on university in USA too because of that.

Sorry I forgot you had children :rolleyes1

No problem - bring them we can always leave them outside

(only joking)
:lmao:

:rotfl:

Oh, I bet you're right - the salt in the sea air makes you retain water - so I better just drink more. I'm sure the fruit in the drinks will also help with any vacation digestive issues - glad you helped me clear that one up!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And you're forgetting the exercise involved in stirring the stirrer and drinking thru a straw.......

Phew! Thirsty work.:woohoo::rotfl2:

You and I just need to post a LOT more to move on from earning our ears :)

And you're forgetting the exercise involved in stirring the stirrer and drinking thru a straw.......

Phew! Thirsty work.:woohoo::rotfl2:

And the couple of ounces curl, hand exercises while signing the tab, oh and waving the waitress over probably works the bat wings that sprouted from my arms this past winter.

(oh my gosh, I've become my mother!!)

Thanks very much
Gift for Fathers' Day sorted ;)

Leslie,
Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you. It was my husband who bought the wines for me for Mother's Day. These wines were listed in some of the Disney literature as wines that have been specially selected to be served on the Med Cruise. So we wanted to try them before we go.

I don't know which wines are on the package. We love wine but wouldn't drink a bottle per night so we just try different wines usually at dinner.
