1st Week of December crowds

I usually go sometime during the first week and a half of December, and was surprised at the lack of discounts this year for that time frame, at least right now. And what is available with a discount is mostly higher end rooms.

I ended up booking at the Dolphin a few months ago with my AP discount, even with the resort fees it was cheaper than the Disney Moderates, which is crazy to me. Swan/Dolphin has since booked up for check in for early December, I'm glad I booked when I did.

We were there then last year, flew in the day after Thanksgiving and flew home Dec 7th... I was waiting patiently for the Thanksgiving crowds to die down, they never did I feel like there are never low crowd times anymore. The decorations are wonderful and will still be one of my favorite times to go despite the crowds.

I do still think in September, the first week after Labor Day is lower crowds but its still hot like the surface of the sun and it is hurricane season

We’ve been going for quite a few years, the first or second weeks in December (or the week after Thanksgiving). It has become increasingly crowded, as many others have noted. Been waiting, unsuccessfully, for a rate drop at the Swan, but don’t think we’ll see it as two of the days we have booked for our week stay are now sold out there.
