July 27, 2008 West Coast Magic - 10 Years of Magical Cruising

R0bin,

I think we're going to DL this weekend! I've already made the hotel reservation (now I just have to convice DW.)

Need to break-in the new car with a trip to DL...right???????

We will be there for the half marathon, we will be arriving on Friday and not leaving until Wednesday. We are already meeting several old friends, we could get together for a pre-cruise mini-meet, I know that Ken and Shari will be there also.

DW had a late meeting last night, so I didn't have much time to convince her. She suggested bringing her sister & BIL :scared1: and sharing a room :scared:.

I'll let you know what happens.

Now it looks like this weekend is gonna be me, DW and DS.

AND MIL, SIL, BIL & nephew.

The best part...DW thinks it would be a great idea for all 7 of us to share a room that was made for 6!!

I'm going to jail. Either for defrauding in innkeeper or attempted murder. :rotfl:

Sooooooo, when do you wanna meet?

I guess I won't be going to jail. I found a place for all of us to stay CHEAP!

Has anyone stayed at the Anaheim Carriage Inn? We got a room with 3Q and a pull out sofa for $94.50 (w/AAA).

We usually like to stay within walking distance, but this rate was too good to pass up.

My first thought for a meet would be sometime during the early afternoon on 9/3, the race will be over and we can be recognized by our limping tired bodies. We are pretty booked with stuff prior to then and I would like to keep tuesday open to enjoy the parks when they might be less crowded.

This will be a quick trip. We'll drive down EARLY Saturday morning, spend Saturday night and come home Sunday afternoon/evening.

But, does anyone have time to at least say a quick "hello" while we're there?

Hi all

Time for a bump.

Will be at the Health Expo checking in our various 1/2 marathoners on Sunday afternoon. Don't know the time yet.

Ken

We're booked for the July 27th cruise also! We made the decision on the Med Cruise we were on (July 28 to August 8). What is nice about it being a Mexican Riviera cruise is that it is a short drive for us to the port and it will enable my wife to bring her scuba gear along.

I would normally post in purple, but I am having issues with the color today.

I don't think we'll make it by "early AM" Saturday. Early Sunday might work. The park doesn't open until 9, so I'm sure we'll be there before opening.

Where is she planning on diving? (Char and I have the bug and it would be nice to dive some place warmer than Monterey.)

I don't know exactly. It may have to wait until we get the excursion list from DCL before she makes any decisions. She would love for the entire family to go with her, at least stay on the boat. The only "wrench" for this plan is that I don't know how to swim at all and would be extremely worried during my time on the boat looking after my two small daughters who know how to swim a little.

Going back to the diving question, if DCL does not offer good scuba diving excursions for her to take, she may ask her diving instructor/friend to give her some suggestions based on the ports we are going to.

Robin: thanks for the invite to post info. Names are as follows Joe, Kiki, Cali (8) & Lexi (4). We don't know what room we're staying in other than we are booked for a Category 4 room. We have the later dining time and already asked to be seated in the area for our Med Cruise server, Alonzo.

Welcome aboard Joe. Glad to have you with us!

What's the matter Andy - don't like 53 degree water all the time. I got my certification in Monterey back in the mid 70's.
