I know! He is complaining about something he agreed to do! UG! I think he just did not like her getting the attention while he was at home.

I don't think Jon agreed to it. I think he said it was chosen for him to stay home.

I watched the video, how come no mention of where Kate is (why she's not there), only Jon? Biased, much TMZ?

Didn't they manhandle the kittens on the episode? Even pretending to hit a dog, a BIG dog is awful IMO for many reasons. I have a few thoughts on this, but suffice it to say I have zero tolerance for treating animals badly. My 2 y/o knows how to be gentle and kind and this kind of thing is taught. It's respect and empathy.

I guess it's all Jon's fault.

She was joking. On just about any non-reality show or movie with animals there is a disclaimer somewhere that no animals were hurt during the filming.

That is how I took it as well, the boys seemed to be handling the kittens a little roughly. I assumed it was because they have no experience with cats.

Kate lets the dogs roam just like Jon does. If you go back and look at pictures of when Kate has the kids, the dogs are running around the yard too.
I think they both take care of the dogs when they are the ones there, and they do need to teach the children how to treat an animal.

I think you're right -- I think Jon and Kate give the dogs about the same amount of attention.

I can't believe he said he was abused. To me, that is very strong word and yes, I think maybe Kate did verbally abuse him, but Jon is no shrinking violet, he could have handled this very differently and his actions since the split say to me that he really just wanted to get away from the responsibility and live the way he wants to. Kate took it too far, but Jon has always struck me as the kind of person that needs alot of direction, like my BIL, my sister can ask him nicely 10 times to mow the lawn, but he never does it until she yells at him to get out there and mow the darn lawn already!

You can't believe he was abused ? Look , if his wounds were physical , he'd be in an intensive care unit in a hospital. Even if he needed "direction" , her methods (emotional abuse) was not a correct way to provide it. Wonder if his divorce attorney will use any of the show footage in court as evidence.

I think Kate just made a mistake and selected the wrong husband. You can't change them. She met him, he was a drop out / back packing through Europe. (translation - in Europe staying at youth hostels, sleeping on Eurail trains, budge adventurer type). Kate tried to mold him into to something he wasn't. He went with the program as long as he could and finally had enough and snapped. I think his behavior right now , is just about a guy really hurting and looking all the wrong places for "anasthesia".

I think that this marriage was a sham as Kevin and Jody pointed out (their reasons for revealing it were wrong and self serving) but nonetheless , I think there was truth at the "heart".

Really hard to believe that TLC - the learning channel - is associated with this. What is everyone supposed to be learning.

Somehow I can't see Kate using the pooper scooper picking up the dog crap. If Jon isn't taking care of those dogs, I think they have hired help that does. Kate may feed and water them, but I wouldn't think she does much else with them.

Kate made a statement early on that Jon was not happy traveling and doing the engagements together. So he decided to stay home with the kids. Based on his recent comments it sounds like he wasn't happy doing that either. It is not like Kate traveled for years, the book tour lasted a few months.

I really don't think that we should be accepting Kate's version of what did or didn't make Jon happy, IMO, since most of the statements she made on that issue have come out since the separation was announced. We wouldn't accept Jon's statement re how Kate felt about something, so I think we need to do the same for Jon.

Same here -- I never got the idea that he had agreed to it. In fact, he mentioned on several occasions (at least once on the show) that he was having a problem with it.

As for his IT security job, I can see how that was totally not conducive to the filming schedule -- one of the dad's at our campground has the same job and this topic came up when there were issues with the wireless there. He absolutely has to put in a certain number of hours each day, whether at the office or from home, and is on call at all times -- if there is an issue he has no more than 1/2 hour to log in and fix the problem. I'm sure that wasn't working out for TLC -- can you imagine Jon saying "stop the cameras, I have to work"?

there are a lot of missing pieces to the puzzle ... the family (on both sides), and where Kate goes when she's not in the home both come to mind, and are things that the tabloid media has surely tried to find out, especially with all the other information that's been out there.

In the Utah interview, Jon said his family chose not to be involved with the show but he sees his brothers all the time and speaks with his mother every day on the phone.

Is it a new hairstyle or just the way the People magazine stylist did it that way for the picture?

As for the casino thing, why would Kate have been scheduled there to begin with?
