Lots of new articles on Radaronline this morning. This one bothers me. Is Jon buying these cars for the kids?? That is his reason for everything.
He just doesn't make any sense....car shopping and drinking with teenagers...brilliant! He must be doing this to get out of a contract.....this is a total 180 from how he previously behaved.
but that's reality for many, many people. I am always looking for ways to save money .. and saved over $75 last week at the grocery shopping the sales and using coupons.
Good job! I went shopping last week for the first time in a month and spent like $129 and still managed to save like $68. Can't wait to get back into my "regular" shopping and saving more than I spend! Love it!
Yikes! I do think Reg tends to "joke" about stuff like this with celebs....I'd have to see it before I comment.
why they don't do more of a mixture of shows? some trips, some practical .. cooking dinner for a large family, for example. I think that's something people could relate to and appreciate. Along with taking a vacation, how about tips about packing for a vacation?
Completely agree! You can still get show sponsors - Ziploc containers to freeze the portions for later, food sponsors, luggage sponsors. The opprotunities are out there - you just have to think a bit outside the box.
She's helping to stimulate the economy
I'm sure since TLC was filming there they helped pay for the $10,000 cottage rental. She's not flaunting her Starbucks and spa stuff, the paparazzi are following her around and taking pictures of it and you are choosing to look at those photos. FAO is not that much more expensive than a normal toy store depending on what is being purchased there.
I do think people who are able should not quit spending - that will only hurt us. Each person has their own list of "crazy" items they spend money on and what they're determined and "must haves" for their family. Just like I can't fault friends for having different things they spend money on, I can't complain about the smaller purchases like Target and the toy store. Now, Jon and buying (or trying out) cars all the time is a bit crazy!
If you keep making this personal, this thread will be closed
This is a TV show, not personal friends we have to defend, or enemies we have to prove wrong. All of us are just giving out opinions, just like you are.
While you may consider that spending money like water, others do not. Those places are booming, so many people must consider them normal parts of their lives. And while I am not going around telling everyone I'm going to Disney (because like, do they really care?), I'm not hiding it either. I'm sorry that other people are having a tough time with the economy, but I don't consider it bragging that I am still traveling
Completely agree with the bolded part - it's crazy the feelings this show brings out!
Have a great time at Disney!! Not to brag but I think I've convinved DH to renew our APs and go for a long weekend in Sept (friend's baby's first trip!!) AND Dec (my birthday)! Thank goodness for the 40% off pin code we got!
If people have the money to spend I would rather them spend some of it than sock it all away. Spending it helps people keep their jobs so they don't loose their houses.
yes I am the authority on everything!! At least that is what I tell my husband.
Agree with the spending!
DS5 will tell you that I'm the boss, I'm in charge and I make the rules!
I believe on the couch part she had a disclaimer that she may not have seemed thankful, but she was. Is that where she said she was tired from driving? I think they had to put that in there, b/c a normal person would have been jumping up and down! It was also noted they didn't really show much of the kitchen at all. Now , that I would have wanted to see.
I just watched the show last night. The kitchen reveal was such a small part of the show - wish it would have been a bigger part maybe explaining why they made those choices or something to give the rest of us ideas!
As for Kate's reaction, I think it was a typical one for her. There's no way I'd be jumping up and down...that's just not me. I probably would have reacted similar to Kate. I'm not good at showing my emotions on the outside like that.
I just don't think the children are suffering because of the show. They may be suffering due to the divorce, but I think that would have happened show or no show. It's too early too tell whether or not the show will affect them negatively.
Agreed! The Gosselins could adopt me and I'd gladly go on the trips and such with them!
A bodyguard, a PR person, and a publicist are not co-workers or friends, they are employees that follow her around on speaking engagements/media blitzes. I would call that an entourage. It's not like she invited a few friends to a trip to NY.
I'm sorry but I disagree. They are people Kate works with - whether she had a choice to bring them or not.
Now I did hear on the Candy and Potter (radio) show this morning that she was taping the interview for J&K+8 so she had a film crew, producer, publicist, secruity and always travels with two assistants. I can't find anything to back that up. If that's the case and all those people were with her - yeah I'd say that's an entourage.
Well the bodyguards are co-workers they are provided by the Discovery channel. I wonder if the PR & publicist work for Discovery? The camera crew & producers are also her co-workers
I think that's probably the best way to describe it - if they're all paid by the same person/company, they're co-workers as far as I'm concerned. If Kate's paying them, they're her employees.
